I enjoyed this tea. This tea has a nice light yellowish amber color. Mild in taste with a nice hint of bergamot. Does not linger on the tongue. Milk, cream, or sugar would probably over power this tea.

One of the all-time best iced teas I've ever had. Hot summer day Paris 2018... marching around the Louvre we stumbled upon Mariage Freres tea shop in the underground gallery. Unfamiliar with what to choose and overwhelmed by the immense selection, the server asked what flavor profiles I liked. I said, "I like earl grey...

What should I say?
I LOVE THIS TEA!
It is smoky, balanced, it tastes good, it does have a long life as loose tea.
I do not brew it too long, I just pour water on top of leaves, keep leaves in water for 1 minute and done, even if MF recommends to brew for 5 minutes.
I confess I used to add sugar to my tea, b...

Balanced and subtle this bergamot tea is one of my favorite in the morning.
As I now leave outside of France I buy once / twice a year and the loose tea keep its taste over time, not like many others.

Admittedly I haven't tried many loose leaf green teas to compare this too. I found this at a small coffee shop several years ago and loved it, so I ordered a container online. I've been drinking various bagged green teas for years, and this can't compare. It's really pungent with subtle flavors infused. It's a bit pric...

As far as Earl Grey goes, this tea is a wonderfully balanced and soft-on-the-palate tea. It also happens to be one of few Earl Greys that takes on more aroma after steeping.
I find it to be a bit overpriced, but it's very possible that I don't comprehend its true value. On the occasions where Marriage Frères is the...

The bergamot that makes this an Earl Grey tea is of high quality and not at all obtrusive. The "French Blue" refers to the addition of "bleuet royal" (blue cornflower). My wife and I have enjoyed this blend for years. We believe It is one of the better Earl Greys on the market. It is available loose and in sachets.

Marco Polo is a very successful blend from the venerable house of Mariage Frères. Aside from evoking the "flowers and fruits of China and Tibet" it is a smooth tea. It has a suggestion of vanilla, honey and caramel without a bit of sweetness. Can take a little milk, if you like it that way.
