Good Yunnan aroma, nice earthiness/wood. The liquor (5min steep) is a wonderful honey. Taste is a solid Yunnan, with a slight sweetness (peach?) after taste. The leaves are black and tan. I would enjoy this tea anytime during the day.

The aroma is a mild earthiness with a hint of classic Yunnan. The liquor (5min steep) is a nice amber. Mild flavor with no out standing notes. Enjoyable, but it would not be my first choice from this company.

Spring 2022. "Classic" Yunnan aroma. mild, nothing distinctive. Liquor (5 min steep, using the Breville tea machine) is a nice brown with a slight gold tinge. Tasty, great for sipping. PS: The leaves are long. I might have used less tea than actually needed for a full 6 cup pot. Next pot I will crush the leaves into sm...

73 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5

I tried this tea right when I ordered it, but did not like it. It had few objectionable qualities, and was actually quite smooth, but simply seemed a little boring. However, I set it in my cupboard for quite some time and sure enough, it has started tasting more interesting after about a year and a half. Still, it is n...

Mild all around. Aroma is a weak Yunnan. Flavor is a mediocre Yunnan, with a slight burnt after taste. Liquor brews (5min) to a deep brown. Not impressed.

Here is a nice Yunnan. The aroma is fresh and woodsy, like taking an April walk in a park. The flavor is smooth and mild, with a little bit of astringency on the palate. It is well worth the modest price.

This tea is really good! It’s aromatic and bready smelling which I like. The taste is really smooth and it has a complex flavor with slight bitterness but in a good way! This is a really enjoyable tea!

This tea is pretty smooth and easy to drink, however it is a bit boring and doesn’t have a super strong aroma. I’m still giving it a highish score just because it is a comforting tea to drink and it doesn’t have any outwardly negative qualities like being too harsh or astringent.

This tea was quite singular, unlike most of the other teas from Yunnan Sourcing. I thought it was a good tea but it was a bit too much for me. It's strong, both by flavor and caffeine. I am reviewing the Spring Harvest from 2020.

This tea took up a lot less space than most all the other Yunnan Teas I've tried. The d...

This was a straightforward tea that I found easy to like; I became a fan from the first sip. It's robust, easy to brew, easy to drink, and pleasing in both flavor and aroma. Overall, it is more flavorful than aromatic though.

The dry leaf is beautiful, a very bright yellow color, not as orangeish as many of these ti...

This was a really enjoyable tea that also had a lot of depth and complexity.

The dry leaf is made exclusively of luscious, thick, fuzzy buds that are kinda rolled on themselves; the picture does not really do it justice. Although it seems to be pure buds, they look a bit more mature than on some tippy teas, and they...

A mellow and balanced, easy-to-brew tea that had a lot of aromatic complexity, and an overall character somewhat intermediate between large-leaf Assam and Yunnan teas.

The dry leaf, which looks a little darker than in the picture from Yunnan Sourcing's website, has a wiry and kinda dusty appearance, and consists of ...

I found this to be a subdued, but intriguing tea that seemed to have a lot of depth and complexity. Although it doesn't jump out at me, I found that it seemed a little different each time I drank it.

It's also another tea that in many respects resembles some of the large-leaf Assam teas (not just Assamica cultivar, ...

This was a peculiar and rather fascinating tea, a real bargain buy, and a good afternoon tea.

The leaf is very large and has an aroma that is lightly malty, but also rather herbaceous. It smells more like green teas or raw Pu-erh than is typical for a black tea. Both its appearance and aroma remind me of some of the...

The aroma is nice and bready although it's not very strong. The taste is good and classic for a regular high quality black tea. For me it's just a bit astringent but if that doesn't bother you then this tea would be perfect!

This tea is pretty good but not my favorite. It doesn't have a strong aroma but it smells nice like normal tea. A delightful and robust tea that I could happily drink day after day, and that has been one of my favorite teas to start the day with lately.

I found this tea interesting to compare to the "Classic 58" which I also ordered in the same batch. It looks very different in terms of leaf appearance, but is surprisingly si...

This is definitely my favorite tea I've ever ordered from Yunnan Sourcing, and one of the most exceptional teas I've ever tried. And this is coming from someone who usually is not a huge fan of the super-golden bud-heavy teas like this.

Opening the bag, there's an ethereal fragrance of flowers and sweet, bready malt...

This is one of those teas that I love and could drink every day, but when I've served it to others, I found it doesn't appeal to as wide an audience, especially among those with Western tastes. People who like more "serious" Chinese teas like it, it but a lot of people either find it boring or are put-off by the astrin...
