Commercial Description
We call this organic rooibos tea (say "roy-bus") "African Sunset" because red tea is grown in South Africa, where it is cherished for its spicy, herbal flavor. We've added just a touch of lemongrass and lemon zest to brighten up this smooth, decaf cuppa' tea on your palate.

Zesty! Not as complex or interesting as it could be, but quite nice. Then lemon and rooibos flavors go well together. Pricier than what I would like, but a nicely refreshing blend with a nice aroma.

slightly spicy unique smell...can get a hint of the lemongrass....flavor has the lemongrass come out more...only a slight difference from the purer lemongrass I've had...I guess that's the rooibos...decent..

So here I am, smelling recollecting. But when? Why? It's familiar, but where? Maybe before the summer gets warm and the rain just barely lingers on the growing grass. Its musky and sweet, fresh, like a Hyacinth flower in rich soil.
Its crisp, it reminds me of weddings, bouquets, lemon cake, and vanilla icing. It melts easy and smooth, too. On it's own, it's beautiful, paired with treats would be a delight. It stands on it's own as a lovely morning or afternoon tea for me.

I often find Rooibus hard to describe, especially to people who have never had it before. The aroma is like being in a deciduous forest in autumn, sweet, woodsy, and leafy. There is also the slightly zingy taste of the Lemongrass that adds both a citrus and a green taste to the tea, but it seems more of an after thought than a major aroma.
The taste on the other hand is earthy and smooth with the natural sweetness that is one of Rooibus's traits. You do not taste the Lemongrass until the tea has already been swallowed and it is just a little reminder that it is there.
Overall it is exotic and an enjoy sensory experience, but I am not a huge fan. It is not at all bad but something about the mix of flavors do not work for me.

I thought the tea had a light aroma, contrast to other reviews, but I could definitely smell the lemon grass. I really enjoyed this tea. It had a smooth texture with a hint of lemon grass in it's flavoring. This is definitely my favorite tea by Two Leaves in A Bud, it's silky aftertaste is leaving me begging for more!

Has a bright and fragrant aroma, the zing of the lemongrass is very pleasing-is a good afternoon pick me up. Would definitely recommend!

The lemongrass is very present, at times dominating the rooibos in the aroma. Also, the lemongrass adds a sharpness and crispness that changes the character of this tea--it is not at all smooth the way rooibos on its own is. I like it though; it's a bit of a surprise but I think it's a welcome one. I think they've used fairly high quality lemongrass and Rooibos.
This is definitely my favorite herbal tea from Two Leaves and a Bud. It has even inspired me to blend lemongrass and rooibos on my own--I actually prefer using green rooibos, however, as I think it blends better with the lemongrass.
