aroma: sweet, peach, apricot

flavor: rich, well-balanced, floral and fruity notes.

this is one of my overall favorite and most frequently consumed teas. it's a staple of my collection, and i regularly offer it to guests.

if you're buying from teagschwendner, be sure to pick some of this up.

appearance: a standard looking black tea with bits of blue and white plant matter mixed in ["we added bits of vanilla bean and sunflower petals"].

aroma: strong, citrus, sweet. predominantly lemon-like rather than the more orange-like smell of bergamot that i'm accustomed to. vanilla note also present.

note: this is the only lapsang souchong i've tried.

very powerful in both flavor and aroma. a very smokey smell. many people i've offered it to told me it smells like a camp fire. i definitely smell the terpenes (chemicals from the pine wood).

i am a big fan of this tea, but it is definitely not for everyone. ...

preface: i'm a huge fan of the real 'organic throat coat' tea. i love the flavor and aroma.

i had the misfortune of trying the 'just for kids' version. basically, while it has some of the same ingredients, the blend is far from identical. i guess it's an alright licorice-tasting tea, but the magic of the original...

i'll start by saying that i drink this 'tea' simply because i love the flavor. i'm not reviewing this to vouch for its efficacy in the treatment of any condition.
