White Rose - Velvet Garden™ from Numi Organic Tea
Style: Flavored White Tea – Region: ?????67 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Nov. 8th, 2014
Not bad. I liked the scent of the dry leaf better than the brewed cup. It was pleasant, though. I like this floral flavor and would like to try similar brews with perhaps different base teas. If you're big into flavored white teas, this one strikes me as a solid choice--I've simply had a hard time finding white teas to...

White Ginger Pear from Tea Forte
Style: Fruit White Tea – Region: Blend50 / 100 Aroma: 5/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 2/5
Nov. 4th, 2014
The tea bag has pretty broken pieces of leaf. Brews up a hazy greenish-colored cup.
The pear aroma is just the right strength, and blends well with the base tea. I don't notice the ginger much at all. Ginger is a strong flavor and I expect it to add a bit of edge or spiciness, as well as warmth, and I sense none ...

Chamomile Rose Silver Needle Tea from TeaVivre
Style: Flavored White Tea – Region: China73 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5

An intriguing blend that I liked a lot. I had no idea what to expect, but I was pleased. Without a doubt, my favorite flavored or blended white tea yet.
The dry leaf has a very strong smell, suggestive of baked goods, like a pie or tart, perhaps with raspberry, strawberry, or lemon, and then fading into an aroma s...

Coconut Creme from The Persimmon Tree
Style: Flavored White Tea – Region: Blend83 / 100 Aroma: 9/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 3/5
Aug. 11th, 2014
Well, I can certainly say it smells good! The aroma is a blend of coconut, honey, and delicate floral with hints of lettuce and cream. It is very sweet and rich, especially strong in the coconut department.
There is the obvious taste of coconut, but there are also notes of honey, cream, tapioca, and a tiny touch of ...

Blueberry White from Simple Loose Leaf
Style: Flavored White Tea – Region: ?????80 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5
Aug. 7th, 2014
was greeted with a potent blueberry aroma similar to blueberry jam, it is intensely sweet. Under this strong blueberry aroma there is a nice leafy green, like fresh vegetation and lettuce.
The taste is surprisingly gentle and delicate, I was expecting an explosion of blueberries, instead we have a gentle caress of...

Earl White from Bentley's Tea
Style: Flavored White Tea – Region: Blend63 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5
Aug. 5th, 2014
Quite a nice tea. The base tea and the bergamot blended well, with neither one overwhelming or dominating the other. I wasn't quite dazzled by the flavor, but this is easily the best of the "Earls" I've tried so far. The white tea isn't bitter the way that black often is, so I suspect this is how I'll like my bergamot ...

Rose Mojito from The Persimmon Tree

The aroma of this very flowery pile of leaves is quite interesting, a blend of roses, mint, lavender, and a finish of green vegetation. The leaves smell like late spring time and nature, it reminds me of the smell of my mother's garden as I grew up, I love it!
Usually with a tea like this I would say something like...

White Wedding Tea from The Tea Spot

This tea has a lovely blend of floral (jasmine) and sweet/nutty (roasted chestnut) aromas. It does stand up to multiple steepings, but the first one was definitely the nicest.

The lemon flavor is very, very muted compared to what I expected. I tried it first without anything added and wasn't crazy about it. However, once I added sugar the flavor was amazing! I don't normally add sugar or anything else, but this is one time when it worked out splendidly.

Sweet Orange White from Simple Loose Leaf
Style: Flavored White Tea – Region: Blend33 / 100 Aroma: 3/10 Flavor: 1/5 Value: 3/5
Jun. 8th, 2014
The aroma is very citrus heavy, it is a little on the artificial side and sadly reminds me of the orange bathroom cleanser I used to use. Underneath the heavy swath of orange there are notes of lettuce and delicate floral.
Tasting the tea sadly confirmed my fear, this tea tastes like air freshener. Now don't get me ...

Sweet Orange White from Simple Loose Leaf

This one is interesting.
Method: 1 heaped tsp. @ 200 degrees, grandpa style. Added more water near the end of the first cup and the 2nd cup didn’t taste weak.
Dry Leaf Aroma: Smells like citrus, but not orange. This smells like bergamot, tangerine, and neroli had a baby. It also has a smell like a familiar cand...

Wow, I am on a roll with teas this AM! Both selections so far are new, and both were very good. This white tea smells wonderful, and when brewed, it absolutely tastes like coconut.
I tried it without sugar, and then with a little added. It was good both ways, but I preferred it with a small amount of rock sugar. ...

Pineapple Guava 100% White Tea from Republic of Tea
Style: Fruit White Tea – Region: ?????57 / 100 Aroma: 5/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 2/5
May. 30th, 2014
I first tried this at a coffee house in Hanalei on the island of Kauai and fell in love. The sweet, tropical flavors of pineapple and guava combine to create a very delicate tea ideal for breakfast/brunch. I wouldn't recommend it iced though due to its delicate flavors.

I received this as a sample with my last order, and I wish there was a little more in the sample pack, because I think this would be a good cold brew tea.
As a hot tea, this was pretty ok. The aroma was lovely and it had a fruit flavor that didn't really taste like anything I am familiar with. Unfortunately, it ...

Bumble Bee White Tea from Positiffitea
Style: Flavored White Tea – Region: Blend60 / 100 Aroma: 5/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
May. 23rd, 2014
With a name referencing bees, I mistakenly assumed the flavor would be of honey. It turned out the bee reference is due to the assortment of flowers included in the drink.
This tea is perfectly fine for a white tea. It didn't overwhelm me with awesomeness, but I think regular white tea drinkers may really enjoy it.

Murmur from Handmade Tea
Style: Flavored White Tea – Region: Blend70 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5

This is yummy! It has a light strawberry flavor. I don’t pick up much cocoa, but I like it anyway. I did need to sweeten this with a little rock sugar to enjoy it more. Without sweetener, the strawberry didn’t pop!

Pomegranate White Tea from Wild Harvest Organic
Style: Fruit White Tea – Region: Blend33 / 100 Aroma: 3/10 Flavor: 2/5 Value: 1/5
May. 21st, 2014
I just ate a wonderful eggplant dish with pomegranate seeds last night at an Uzbek restaurant in NE Philly, so the flavor of pomegranate is fresh in my mind.
I do smell the pomegranate aroma in this tea, actually a little more in the dry tea bag, and a little less once it's brewed. But when drinking, what I mainly ...

White Tropics from Adagio Teas
Style: Flavored White Tea – Region: Fujian, China57 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
May. 2nd, 2014
This tea definitely smells of coconut and pineapple. After brewing for 3 minutes, it also tastes like coconut and pineapple.
My problem is that there's also an extra flavor I don't care for. It's kind of like a peachy floral taste, and it creates an odd aftertaste.
I wanted to like this because it seems like ...

I'm glad I tried this one, though I wasn't crazy about it. It tasted, more or less, like a straight forward white tea without accent flavors or scents. Not bad, but not ... um ... my cup of tea. :-)

I am not crazy about additional herbal flavors added to white tea and it holds true for this tea.
Why did I buy it? Guess I didn't know this until after trying several types.

Blood Orange from Octavia Tea
Style: Fruit White Tea – Region: Blend57 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 2/5
Feb. 6th, 2014
A relatively mellow, medium-bodied orange-flavored tea, medium in color, and fairly middle-of-the-road in flavor. To be fair, I tend not to like flavored teas; I tried this one more out of curiosity.
Aroma is of orange and autumn leaves, with a hint of hay or straw. Flavor has a light bitterness, and light sournes...

Organic Ginger Pear White Tea from Trader Joe's
Style: Fruit White Tea – Region: Blend43 / 100 Aroma: 4/10 Flavor: 2/5 Value: 3/5
Jan. 21st, 2014
To be fair, it takes me awhile to get through tea and I've had these packets a long time. So perhaps the tea has gone stale. I think I liked it a bit more when I first bought it.
As of now, I'm not detecting any distinct ginger and very little pear. The flavor isn't bad, but is very meh. For my second cup I added ho...

Golden Mojito White Tea from Teavana

Chamomile Rose Silver Needle Tea from TeaVivre
Style: Flavored White Tea – Region: China87 / 100 Aroma: 9/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5
Oct. 13th, 2013
The aroma of this tea is wonderful, a bit herbaceous from the Silver Needles and full of floral and straw notes from the roses and chamomile. It takes on a rich sage aroma once it is brewed and the liquid retains a bit of the sage and mixes it with the rose and chamomile aroma.
The taste is very refreshing and mildl...
