Half-litre cup at home, made from organic Sencha leaves. Pours clear pale olive green / lemon juice yellow (against white china) with no sediment. Mild aroma of Sencha leaves. Ditto flavour, with delicate malty notes. Mildly astringent aftertaste with leafy and malty touches. Well, a very decent Sencha, I suppose, alth...

Half-litre pot at home, made from wiry green leaves. Pours clear light olive green (against white china), with no sediment. Clear aroma of green tea, with malty touches. Delicate leafy flavour of green tea, with touches of malt and very mild fruity hints. Slightly astringent palate with a malty and leafy aftertaste. A ...

This tea reminded me somewhat of Sencha, but also of Lung Ching. Slightly grassy/vegetal, but not too much and pretty smooth instead.
I was very disappointed though because I could not manage to get a second cup worth drinking - it was simply too bland (therefore the lower rating for value)
Korea OP Jeju Green Tea Bio from Het Gouden Randje
Style: Green Tea – Region: Jeju, South Korea67 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5

I bought this to keep at my parents' house to use as everyday green tea. It's a bit too subtle for an everyday tea, though. I also never seem to be able to get my tea quite right here.
It is very light, but doesn't feel thin, and it has a slightly sweet aftertaste. The colour is a lovely bright greenish yellow.
I'm t...
Korean Sejak from DAVIDsTEA
Style: Sejak – Region: Jeju, South Korea70 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5
May. 12th, 2016
I thought this was a good everday tea, especially if you want a stronger green tea that isn't too harsh, but I wasn't crazy about it for the high price that it had. I've had only one other Sejak (although I've had other types of Korean green teas, all of which I liked better) and it was pretty similar.
I initially ...
South Korea Seogwang from TeaGschwendner
Style: Green Tea – Region: Jeju, South Korea67 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5

Purchased in the TeaGschwendner store in Regensburg, Germany. The company describes this tea as intense and reminiscent of Japanese green teas, and I agree on both counts.
The dry leaf is aromatic but in a sort of edgy way that I'm not sure if I like. It's fresh and suggests a cooling quality, but is a bit harsh, ...
Korea Woojeon Green Tea from Arbor Teas
Style: Green Tea – Region: Jeju, South Korea83 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 4/5

This tea is a notch up from the Sejak sold by Arbor Teas, and I think it lives up to these claims--it's only a little bit pricier, but I think it's much more flavorful, aromatic, and pleasing to drink. Thank you again to Dewey for this sample!
The dry leaf of this smells deep, dark, fruity, and herbaceous, reminisc...
Jeju Island from Teavana
Style: Green Tea – Region: Jeju, South Korea57 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5

This was recommended at the Teavana store when we asked for a gunpowder green, which my boyfriend likes. The SA advised this would be close in flavor.
I'm not a fan, personally. I haven't met many plain green teas that I like. I tend to prefer jasmine green or genmaicha. Anyway, this was steeped for 3 minutes and t...
Korea Sejak Green Tea from Arbor Teas
Style: Sejak – Region: Jeju, South Korea73 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 2/5

Thank you Dewey for this sample!
Dry leaf doesn't have much smell, but the minute the water hits the leaves there is an explosion of aroma that reminds me of very good Japanese sencha.
But once the tea has steeped it has a very different aroma, more like a Chinese green tea, very grassy, and with some toasty and ...
