Commercial Description
A treasured tea from southern Anhui Province, Keemun is grown and produced near the famous Huang Shan Mountains. This selection represents one of the finer grades available, boasting a velvety mouth feel and subtle notes of cocoa, leather, dried plum and smoke. The sienna cup is understated, yet noble.
Brewing Instructions: (from TeaGschwendner)
One heaping teaspoon per 8oz cup of filtered, boiling water. Allow to brew 2 minutes.

One-litre pot at home, made from fine very dark brown and black leaves of organic Keemun. Pours nearly clear copper brown (against white china), with no sediment. Clear aroma of black tea leaves, with malty touches. Bitterish flavour of black tea, with leafy and malty notes and touches of smoke. Mildly bitter, leafy aftertaste, leaving an astringent palate with mild touches of smoke. This is my first Keemun. It is a nice, well-balanced beverage, and one of high quality (and price: €7.80 per 100 g) but I must admit I prefer some other varieties of pure black tea, e.g. the Wild Phongsali or the Yunnan.
