Republic Darjeeling from Republic of Tea

Style: Darjeeling Black Tea – Region: Darjeeling, India

70 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 3/5
Jul. 20th, 2016

I LOVE Darjeeling - and next to a jasmine green, a darjeeling is the PERFECT cup for me - especially in the AM. That said, Republic's loose version is a terrific value. Can't guarantee that it is first flush - but it is a very good value and I enjoy this one and have purchased it twice ($13 for a tin). Now comes in ...

Pineapple Guava 100% White Tea from Republic of Tea

Style: Fruit White Tea – Region: ?????

73 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5

This is a delicious, light-bodied (super light, actually) and fruity fragrant tea. You smell it more than you taste it - at least for me. Terrific at brunch - as Ariel says. I do think it would be pleasant as an iced tea - but you'd have to hot-brew it and let it steep a long time before chilling. (Don;t over ice i...

Tea of Inquiry (Loose) from Republic of Tea

Style: Genmaicha – Region: Japan

80 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 3/5
Mar. 14th, 2016

For a genmaicha (which I enjoy in spring/summer) I really love this one - probably my favorite roasted-toasted brown-rice note-filled tea. Even good over ice - and unsweetened for a true grain-filled experience. I actually love this one - but if you are not a Genmaicha lover - you may not want to try this one. More ...

I like the convenience of RoT's round brown tea bags - and Mango Ceylon is a fruity, good-tasting choice - but I much prefer the ginger peach. Makes a good iced tea.

I really enjoyed this over ice at a local coffee place. It was a very hot July day and I needed some iced tea. Not alot of sweetening required as there is a natural fruity-sweetness to the pomegranate. Lovely.

For a bagged tea this was fine - just as good as Tazo's China Green Tips and many others. Slightly vegetal/green qualities and very good hot.

For a decaf version this is great! Very sagey - a bit moreso than the standard version with fruity berry notes. A great tea hot or over ice.

I live this but not as much as some of the otther ROT fruit-teas. I love the green grassy notes and smooth drinkability especially over ice. Smells fruity, berry-like and sweet. Fun to try.

I love this tea - second only to Ginger Peach fom the same company - and it comes loose or in bags. Fruity, herbaceous and black/caffeinated - although the decaf version is nice also. Great iced or hot.

I love this bagged tea - yes, I know there are even better out there - but I keep comingback to ROT and their ginger peach green and black varieties. Great iced or hot. Subtly ginger-y and sweet without adding sugar.

Love this and the decaf one. Lightly scented of Ginger - but a wonderful peachy top-note without that "artificial" peachy taste. Love this one - and I don't usually do black teas.

This might be my favorite tea ever!

I love this tea - sweet, peachy (without tasting of artificial peach) and a whisper of ginger (slightly lemony when served hot). Great hot or over iced. A winner for me.
