White Tea With Mint from Stash Tea

Style: Flavored White Tea – Region: Blend

60 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5
Oct. 4th, 2018

Most of the Stash mint teas I've tried hasn't done mint justice. This one was almost perfect. The mint is obvious in the aroma, but the flavor is subtle... but not too subtle. The mint offsets the white tea almost perfectly resulting in a rich, flavorful but not overpowering tea that's quite refreshing!

I'll second the reviews that say it has a floral fragrance. It's subtle, but definitely there. It's a light tea that blends green and white quite well. For the price, I can say I'd buy it again!

Lemon Ginger Green Tea from Stash Tea

Style: Flavored Green Tea – Region: Blend

50 / 100 Aroma: 5/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Oct. 4th, 2018

Although this tea is called Lemon Ginger, I found it to be almost exclusively ginger. The aroma is almost pure ginger, and it tastes like a ginger green tea... no lemon at all. This isn't actually a bad thing, as I prefer ginger to lemon, but it wasn't what I was expecting. That said, I'd buy it again, but it's not on ...

To me, both the aroma and flavor of this tea are dominated by the pear, particularly in the aftertaste. This, however, isn't a bad thing. I do love pear, and this tea delivers!

Spice Dragon Red Chai Herbal Tea from Stash Tea

Style: Rooibos Chai / Spiced Rooibos – Region: Blend

55 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Oct. 3rd, 2018

The aroma of this tea is almost pure cinnamon. In theory this would make it a great tea in my opinion... I love chai and I love cinnamon. Unfortunately, the flavor doesn't really match the aroma. Yes, there's a cinnamon feel to it, but it's extremely subtle, resulting in a weakly spiced chai that doesn't live up to its...

I have a bit of a weakness for Earl Grey for my "morning" coffee, but this is similar enough to make my shelf! It has just a touch of lavender to it, which offsets the Earl Grey-ish flavor wonderfully. While I drank my first cup straight, I suspect this would be wonderful with a touch of honey. I may have to try that n...

Fusion Red, White & Blueberry Tea from Stash Tea

I'm a little sad that this tea is being discontinued. After numerous fruit tea failures, this one actually lives up to the expectation. It has a distinctly blueberry aroma and, as expected, tastes like a raspberry/blueberry blend. If they weren't discontinuing it, it would likely find a home in my collection. I may act...

This is on the short list for my favorite chai (at least for now). It has a warm, earthy flavor with just a bit of bite to it. It's definitely best served warm, or at least lukewarm. The aroma doesn't stand out in any significant way, but the flavor is excellent.

Stash tea hasn't exactly been a spectacular win in my book, but this one they got right. The aroma is definitely peach, and it has the flavor to match. It's not overwhelming, but definitely tastes like a peach. Not overly sweet, not too much caffeine, just right.

This tea has a wonderful minty aroma, not overpowering, but definitely mint. It's not an overpowering flavor either, but not too subtle. Definitely minty, but I disagree with the other reviewer who indicated it was like you just brushed your teeth... to me, that would be too much; this is just enough mint.

Cinnamon Vanilla doesn't really live up to its name. While the aroma is definitively cinnamon, the flavor is notably lacking. The is a faint cinnamon aftertaste, and it does have a bit of a cinnamon flavor, but it's surprisingly weak. To me, it tastes like water with a dash of vanilla extract in it.

55 / 100 Aroma: 5/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5
Sep. 30th, 2018

I like a good cup of chamomile tea before bed. Chamomile Nights fits the bill to a 't'. The aroma doesn't stand out in any way, it's a basic chamomile. The flavor is subtly sweet and predominantly chamomile based (obviously). It's not too mellow, but not too sweet either. I may have found my new night-time tea!

My experiments with Stash have been a veritable roller coaster. Some have been decent, one has been horrible... this one is a clear win. The aroma smells like an Andes mint... or maybe a York Peppermint Patty... I'm not quite sure which. Either way, it's definitely chocolate and mint. The flavor is a clear chocolate mi...

Very Berry from Stash Tea

I'm honestly not sure what to say about Very Berry... I generally can find something positive with almost anything, but this one took the cake for me. I doesn't really smell like berry (or much of anything), it doesn't taste like berry... it actually reminds me a bit of a medicine I took when I was much younger. But......

The aroma is about what I expected; smells pretty much just like the spearmint from our garden. Flavor wise, this isn't a robust tea. It's reminiscent of spearmint candy, but it's subtle. I'd say this definitely falls into the aromatic category more than anything else, but it's not bad!

I'm not sure what I was expecting from Chocolate Orange... the aroma is definitively chocolate, though not strong. Smells kind of like a weak hot chocolate. Taste is... not. It doesn't really taste like either chocolate or orange, though it does have a faintly chocolate aftertaste. I imagine it tastes similar to a cup ...

This isn't your average chai... it's mild, taking more cues from the white tea than the chai, but has a slightly spicy aftertaste. Actually, it reminds me a bit of a thin egg-nog. I wasn't sure how I felt about it at first, but I've found that I actually quite like it. I'll definitely be buying this again!

With the combination of vanilla and honey, I expected a lighter tea than it actually is... it's a rich mahogany color but, despite what Stash claims, I didn't find it to be a truly full-bodied tea. It's true that it's slightly spicy with a sweet aftertaste though. The flavor is moderately sweet and reminiscent of honey...

Definite fruity aroma, which isn't a surprise for something that sounds tropical right out of the box. I can't say it tasted nearly as tropical as it sounds, but it is a decent fruit tea. I tasted more mango than passionfruit, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. For the price, it's not bad!

A mellow mint aroma, and a flavor that matches it fairly well. It's not a strong mint flavor, but it's definitely present. It reminds me of a pure green tea with a few spearmint leaves added to it. While the name is indicative of the holidays, the tea isn't... it's more a springtime feel in my opinion. Not a bad option...

I'm a big fan of coconut, so I had high hopes for this one. Unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to expectations, though it wasn't wholly unappetizing either. As has been said before, the aroma is somewhat artificial, reminding me of sunscreen. The flavor seems more mango than coconut, but the aroma overpowers the fl...

After having less than ideal reactions to the Stash orange teas I'd tried, I wasn't expecting to really like their strawberry pomegranate offering. Thankfully, I was pleasantly surprised! The aroma is very much strawberry, though the flavor was more prominently pomegranate. Personally, I'd have preferred to have more s...

I think I keep expecting too much out of orange teas from Stash. I keep hoping that they'll have a distinct orange flavor, but none quite measure up to what I want. This tea has a definitively orange aroma, but the flavor is very subtle. It's there, but still feels more like a basic black tea than an orange tea to me. ...

While I love the aroma of this tea, I'm less in love with the balance of the flavor. This isn't to say it's a bad tea, just not what I was hoping for. From the name, I expected a brighter flavor that was predominantly orange-based, with a touch of ginger. Instead, I found it to be more of an earthy ginger flavor with a...

Style: Fruit (Herbal) Tea – Region: ?????

70 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5
Jun. 17th, 2018

This tea's flavor is more complex than the other raspberry-flavored teas that I've been trying lately. No one ingredient overpowers the flavor. It's quite tart, but it doesn't have the astringency that other hibiscus and rosehip blends do. The raspberry is noticeable when smelling the cup, but fades into the background...
