Style: Fruit White Tea – Region: Fuding, Fujian, China80 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5

My first tasting of this tea was in my gaiwan with about 3 grams of tea and 2 grams of tangerine peel. I did a 5 second rinse then 3 infusions. The aroma was sweet and citrusy to begin with. The taste was light, oily, buttery, and smooth with slight orange/tangerine flavors. The second and third infusions became sweete...

This is a hard tea to review. I greatly enjoyed drinking it, but was not overwhelmed with uniqueness of any kind. Rather, it was simply enjoyable. The flavor has hints of caramel, honey, and sweetness with a slight astringency. The cup is very smooth. I would recommend as a black tea, but it is nothing unique, albeit v...

Had this a couple of days ago. One of the best oolongs I have ever had. Slight to no astringency. Honey and floral notes with a slight buttery taste. Aroma was very much like a typical oolong with hints of burnt grass.

One of the first oolongs I've tried outside of a Chinese restaurant, so my palate is not well developed. I steeped this in my gaiwan with 5g of tea and 180-200 degree water.
The first and second steeps were reminiscent of fields and meadows. The aroma was sweet and smelled of hay and honey. The initial taste was ve...
Golden Monkey from Adagio Teas
Style: Golden Monkey – Region: Fujian, China70 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5

I should preface this by saying that I do not particularly enjoy black tea in general. Usually I drink white and green tea. That being said, I do enjoy this once in a while. The aroma is mild and somewhat nutty. The flavor is full and very smooth with almost no astringency. There are also undertones of nuts (perhaps ha...

Very nice tea. I enjoy white teas, especially silver needle, but that can be expensive for daily consumption. This tea, on the other hand, is more affordable and has that distinctly white tea taste. It is not as sweet or smooth as silver needle, but it is nevertheless very light, delicate, and simple.
I prepared 5g ...
Gunpowder Green Tea (Zhu Cha) from TeaVivre
Style: Gunpowder Green Tea – Region: Fuding, Fujian, China80 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 5/5

This is a very vegetal tea, but at the same time, not overwhelmingly so. In a way, it is your stereotypical green tea, that tastes like vegetables and has a slight bitterness to it. If you like green tea, however, it is an excellent everyday tea due to it's very affordable price.
First, the aroma is very smooth. It...
Snowbud from Adagio Teas
Style: White Tea – Region: Fujian, China83 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 4/5

This is an excellent white tea. The aroma is very faint, light, and floral. The taste complements the aroma beautifully with it's lightness and delicateness. It is quite sweet and fruity, but not in an overwhelming manner. There is not a bit of bitterness anywhere, but just smooth and simple sweetness. The taste and ar...

Style: Fruit White Tea – Region: Fujian, China63 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5

This is an interesting tea. I thought I would like the combination of blueberry and white tea, which I do, but the more I drink it the more I realize there is something off about this tea. I think there is too much blueberry for the amount of tea. The aroma is wonderful if smelled briefly. However, if you take in a ful...
