English Breakfast Tea - Organic - Fair Trade
|
Commercial Description
Frontier® Organic Fair Trade English Breakfast Tea, with its full, robust, malty and slight citrus flavor, is one of the most popular blends of black tea. It's a good choice for those who prefer a bit of milk or sweetener in their tea and is hearty enough to pair with a full breakfast or a tea-time snack of freshly baked scones.

I like this tea. It has a strong, rich, smooth flavor and it's not bitter at all. I added cream and sugar.

This tea was very fresh when I picked it up. Dry leaf is largeish pieces of broken orthodox tea, with a pleasant aroma, typical of black tea but with hints of cinnamon and wintergreen, a good sign!
Brews a very dark color. Very aromatic, and with a very smooth flavor! Only slightly malty, balanced with fruity qualities, and significant wintergreen in the aroma. There's a hint of cinnamon in the finish, much less than suggested by the dry leaf, which I like: I actually preferred the smell of the brewed cup to the dry leaf.
Very low astringency, given how rich this tea is. I was able to brew a second cup too. Rich but without being bitter. I thought this a very good tea at a reasonable price, especially for being organic and fair trade certified.
