This is a bold, rich Assam, malty, strong flavored without being overly harsh. Perhaps slightly less edgy than average for an Assam of this strength, and this could be either an asset or a downside, depending on what you are looking for.

A medium-bodied Earl Grey, tending slightly towards the perfumey side of aroma, less towards citrus. The base tea is rich and malty, and brews a clear red-orange liquor.
Light to moderate bitterness; I get the sense that that there's less of the fresh, biting bitterness coming from the bergamot, and more of a muted...
A robust, good-quality English Breakfast tea with a quality slightly suggestive of Yunnan black teas.
The large, mostly whole leaves infuse quite slowly, but this tea becomes quite strong if you let it steep long enough. Moderate bitterness, full-bodied, not too astringent.

Organic/Biodynamic Darjeeling Autumnal

I tend to love everything that comes out of Makaibari estate, and this tea is no exception. I still think I prefer their first flush and long-leaf greens, but this was another very good tea, and people who like darker black teas might actually prefer this one.
A fairly complex Darjeeling. Powerful grape-like aroma...
Not what I expected; this herbal tea has a fair amount of hibiscus, giving it a deep purple color and tangy flavor. There is little lemon evident in the aroma.
