Simpson & Vail now has a single store in Brookfield, CT. This location features regular tea tasting events.
Simpson & Vail sells a wide range of single-origin teas and blend, including teas that can be difficult to obtain in the United States, including teas from Bolivia (currently unavailable) and Colombia.

Classic Assam aroma, with a bit of a fruit under tone. Liquor is a deep amber/red (5 minute steep). Flavor is excellent Assam. Overall, an excellent blend.

Heavy fruit aroma. Liquor is a pleasant amber (5 min steep). Not a bad tea, just something I would not enjoy on a regular basis. Might be just what an Earl Grey fan is looking for. Might be a good dessert tea. Not for me.

As should be expected, strong earthy aroma with a hint of fruit. the liquor (s min steep) is a deep brown with a slight red. Flavor is a nice strong black tea blend. This tea is an all sipping choice.
Read Full ReviewThe aroma is a strong black blend, with a 'peachy' under tone. The liquor is a deep amber (5 min steep). The taste is very enjoyable, the Oolong addition mellows the blend a bit. This would be an all day sipping tea for me. I will work this tea into my regular rotation.

The aroma has a pleasant fruitiness. The liquor (5 minute steep) is a medium brown. The flavor is mild, and tasty, with a slight sweet after taste. Would be good as a base for a blended tea. Tasty.
