Aroma is an earthy scent, with a hint of fruit (peaches, maybe?). The liquor (5 minute steep) is a clear, dark brown, Flavor is classic Assam with a slight maltiness, very smooth. I would say this tea will be good for all day sipping. Subtle flavor.

This is a really wonderful tea! It’s not astringent or bitter at all but it’s still thick bodied and flavorful! It’s a black tea but it has notes of green tea flavor! It even has a subtle toasty grain flavor which is suggestive of genmaicha. I love it!

I've tried what I'm pretty sure is this same exact grade of tea from the same garden, but sold by Upton Tea Imports, a while back, and I loved it. I loved it this time too!
The brewed cup has a strong and complex aroma. It has a moderate toastiness to it, with notes of cocoa and strong notes of wintergreen, which I ...

This tea is really good and tastes deep and roasty. It’s thick bodied and not too astringent. I like it a lot and it’s classic tasting but it’s also not super interesting. It’s good if you need just a regular black tea in the morning!

The aroma is really nice with notes of dried fruit. The taste is pretty nice too and it has very little astringency which is how I like it, however there is a bit of bitterness and the tea is also slightly watery and not as thick bodied as I’d like. Even with all those criticisms though, it’s still a perfectly plea...

Simply exceptional! This is one of the teas that I think is much better than its commercial description suggests! This is the second tea I've tried from Rukeri estate; the first was a BOP grade from Upton Imports. This tea was similar and I loved both.
The dry leaf is finely broken, much more so than I expect for th...

Pretty good tea! The aroma wasn’t super strong but it was nice and kinda reminded me of raisins. The taste was really flavorful right from the start with fruity and floral notes, however it did taste slightly soapy to me. Overall though it wasn’t too bitter or astringent and the taste was very interesting and uniqu...

Really nice cup of tea! It was thick bodied and the flavor was rich and sweet. I didn’t notice much of an aroma however, but I could be having sinus issues now. I’ll come back and update my review if I notice more of an aroma later! But either way it still is a rly nice tea!

This was one of the higher-quality teas I've tried from Tanzania, pleasing to drink, unique and interesting, also extraordinarily value-priced.
The dry leaf has a pleasant and potent aroma, malty and with a hint of caraway and fruity notes. The leaf is on the intact / whole side of what I would expect for the FOP gr...

This tea has a lovely floral and slightly bready taste and aroma that I really love! It has no issues with astringency and it is only slightly bitter, but in a good way. It’s medium bodied and overall a very decent cup of tea!

Aroma is not too strong but it does smell nice and interesting too! It actually has notes of raspberry in the aroma and taste and it’s rly unique and good! Otherwise it just tastes like a very classic assam tea, there is no objectionable astringentness or bitterness.

This was a rather strong, but high-quality Assam sold for an exceptionally good price.
The dry leaf has a potent aroma, spicy and fruity. I already notice the raspberry notes even in the dry leaf. But the aroma somehow betrays a slight harshness: I can tell this is going to be a tea with a bit of an edge, even befor...

I have been wanting to try a tea from Georgia for a long time; the past few times I've gotten teas from Simpson & Vail, this tea has not been available, so I was excited to see it come back into their catalogue.

I love this tea!! The aroma is wonderful and unique, I don’t know exactly how to describe it but it smells bready with floral notes. The taste is also amazing and weirdly it has notes of citrus peel which I really like! (This tea is not a blend, just black tea, so there’s not actual citrus in it). It also tastes li...

The aroma of this tea is wonderful and bready and the aroma doesn’t wear off as you drink it. The taste is very smooth and honestly very “normal.” I like this tea because it is not astringent and it makes me feel good after drinking it (some teas don’t fully agree with me). For how normal this tea is though, it...

I was really impressed by this tea. I found it delightful, and also easy to brew and easy to drink. Smooth, aromatic, and pleasing in flavor. I've only ever tried one other black tea from Japan, but this one was by far the better of the two, and ranks among the top-tier black teas I've sampled from any region.

This was a smoother, higher-grade Assam that had a much lighter character than is typical for an Assam.
The dry leaf is pretty aesthetically pleasing, it actually looks much nicer than the picture S&V provided on their website: lots of tip, which looks more pale and less golden than some. Its aroma is rather fruity ...

The aroma of this tea is incredible. I love grapefruit so I curious to try it. I usually do not drink flavored teas. This tea is enjoyable. It brewed up to a deep amber/brown liquor (5mins). Beautiful large leaves. The aroma is wood and spice, not pronounced. The liquor is a medium amber after a 5 minute steep. Taste is clean with a slight malt after taste. I'd say this is a good tea for sipping. For me, no sugar or milk needed.
