Pinglin Bao Zhong Rincer Wulong Tea from Camellia Sinensis Tea House

Style: Oolong Tea – Region: Taiwan / Formosa

60 / 100 Aroma: 5/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 3/5

Wiry green leaves. Prepared 7.7 g in 18 oz boiled water; brewed for 4 min. Added 3.5 oz ice. Net 2.9 g per 8 oz. Nice flavor - like a green tea, but with extra flavor notes. The tea liquor was yellow with a slight orange tinge.
My Pratt Tea Dictionary says that Bao Zhong is a very lightly oxidized wulong.

Leaves are very long and wiry. Had to pick up leaves with fingers to get into tea sack. Prepared 7.6 g in 18 oz boiled water; brewed 4 min; added 3 oz ice. Final = 2.8 g per 8 oz. Strong tea flavor; slight wulong taste. I wonder if this tea is as fully oxidized as most black teas.
