About Bangladesh
Bangladesh is a country in south Asia, located on the coast of the Indian Ocean, directly east of India and also surrounded by India to the north and much of the east; the country shares a small coastal border with Burma (Myanmar). In its northwesternmost corner, Bangladesh shares a tiny border with the Siliguri District of West-Bengal, India. The climate of Bangladesh is variable with altitude, but is mostly tropical with a strong seasonal pattern of rainfall. Bangladesh is one of the countries most vulnerable to sea level rise, as much of its population is located in very low-lying areas.
Bangladesh grows tea. The primary tea-growing region is in the Sylhet region of northeast Bangladesh, although these teas are not widely available in the U.S. Teatulia sells teas produced in a different region of Bangladesh, in the northwest, called Tetulia Upazila.
