Perla Negra" Cascara from Kasira

Unlike black, green, herbal or even oolong teas, this one might take a little explaining. While I wouldn’t call myself a tea connoisseur, I always thought I had a decent understanding of what types of tea were out there… until I got this one. For the uninitiated, “cascara” is the dried skin of coffee cherries. ...

I’m not normally a huge fan of things that fall into the “flowery” category, but this tea may be changing that! It’s obviously hibiscus-based, evidenced by the sweet hibiscus aroma, but it’s more than that. It’s sweet, but not too sweet, despite being packed with apple, elderberries and orange peel on top o...

This is an excellent chamomile tea that is full of flavor and quite relaxing. The only thing I can knock it for right off the bat is that, from what I've read, the loose tea is significantly better. I'll be testing that out shortly!

Finally! A fruit tea from Stash that I can actually get behind! The aroma is just what you'd expect, and the flavor is undeniably acai berry. It's not overly sweet, and not overly tart. Definitely adding to my collection!

I'm still looking for what I'd consider a perfect peppermint tea, but of the Stash mint varieties I've tried, I will say that this was the best. The aroma doesn't quite fit, it seems a bit on the weak side, but the flavor is definitely peppermint. It's not overpowering, maybe not even full-bodied, but definitely pepper...

This tea shines in its aroma, but takes a veritable nosedive in its flavor. The aroma is a clear raspberry, and you would expect the flavor to match, but the raspberry flavor is drowned out by the other ingredients. Additionally, it's more tart than I would have liked. It tasted like drinking a SweetTart, having even m...

The aroma of this tea is almost pure cinnamon. In theory this would make it a great tea in my opinion... I love chai and I love cinnamon. Unfortunately, the flavor doesn't really match the aroma. Yes, there's a cinnamon feel to it, but it's extremely subtle, resulting in a weakly spiced chai that doesn't live up to its...

This tea has a wonderful minty aroma, not overpowering, but definitely mint. It's not an overpowering flavor either, but not too subtle. Definitely minty, but I disagree with the other reviewer who indicated it was like you just brushed your teeth... to me, that would be too much; this is just enough mint.

Cinnamon Vanilla doesn't really live up to its name. While the aroma is definitively cinnamon, the flavor is notably lacking. The is a faint cinnamon aftertaste, and it does have a bit of a cinnamon flavor, but it's surprisingly weak. To me, it tastes like water with a dash of vanilla extract in it.

I like a good cup of chamomile tea before bed. Chamomile Nights fits the bill to a 't'. The aroma doesn't stand out in any way, it's a basic chamomile. The flavor is subtly sweet and predominantly chamomile based (obviously). It's not too mellow, but not too sweet either. I may have found my new night-time tea!

My experiments with Stash have been a veritable roller coaster. Some have been decent, one has been horrible... this one is a clear win. The aroma smells like an Andes mint... or maybe a York Peppermint Patty... I'm not quite sure which. Either way, it's definitely chocolate and mint. The flavor is a clear chocolate mi...

I'm honestly not sure what to say about Very Berry... I generally can find something positive with almost anything, but this one took the cake for me. I doesn't really smell like berry (or much of anything), it doesn't taste like berry... it actually reminds me a bit of a medicine I took when I was much younger. But......

I'm not sure what I was expecting from Chocolate Orange... the aroma is definitively chocolate, though not strong. Smells kind of like a weak hot chocolate. Taste is... not. It doesn't really taste like either chocolate or orange, though it does have a faintly chocolate aftertaste. I imagine it tastes similar to a cup ...

With the combination of vanilla and honey, I expected a lighter tea than it actually is... it's a rich mahogany color but, despite what Stash claims, I didn't find it to be a truly full-bodied tea. It's true that it's slightly spicy with a sweet aftertaste though. The flavor is moderately sweet and reminiscent of honey...

Definite fruity aroma, which isn't a surprise for something that sounds tropical right out of the box. I can't say it tasted nearly as tropical as it sounds, but it is a decent fruit tea. I tasted more mango than passionfruit, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. For the price, it's not bad!

After having less than ideal reactions to the Stash orange teas I'd tried, I wasn't expecting to really like their strawberry pomegranate offering. Thankfully, I was pleasantly surprised! Well, it tastes pretty much exactly how it smells! The first flavor that hits you is the spicy kick of cinnamon. Orange, ginger and peppermint overtones blend beautifully with the spice to give it a sweet, smooth aftertaste. Good Earth states that their teas can be enjoyed hot or cold, and I’d tend to agree, though I...

While I love the aroma of this tea, I'm less in love with the balance of the flavor. This isn't to say it's a bad tea, just not what I was hoping for. From the name, I expected a brighter flavor that was predominantly orange-based, with a touch of ginger. Instead, I found it to be more of an earthy ginger flavor with a...

Come on, Trader Joe's! What's the deal here? It's fantastically difficult to mess up peppermint and you came closer to doing so than any I've tried yet. The very low price (beaten in my experience only by Wal-Mart's store brand and Carrington, both noticeably higher-quality) is the only thing that saves this rating ...

The ingredients list only states peppermint, lemongrass and spearmint. So why do I smell and taste a dab of black pepper in this? Personally, I'm not complaining; spicy teas appeal to me. This fruit tea smells just like crushed blueberries. Sipping the tea emphasizes the tartness and astringency of the hibiscus and rosehips that seem to be in all fruit tea these days. The finish tastes like canned blueberry pie filling.
The flavoring in this is too heavy. I think I'd just prefer the hibiscus and rose...
