Loose Black Tea from Lipton Tea
Style: Black Tea – Region: Blend57 / 100 Aroma: 4/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5

I've had this tea long ago, way before I created RateTea, but I couldn't remember it well enough to review it. I recently had the opportunity to try it again and write a proper review.
This is way ahead of Lipton's tea bags. The dry leaf is moderately aromatic, with some of the qualities of high-grown teas like Da...
Black Tea from Lipton Tea
Style: Black Tea – Region: ?????35 / 100 Aroma: 4/10 Flavor: 1/5 Value: 1/5

It's been a really long time, and I haven't rated this tea yet, so I decided to finally do it.
I think Lipton gets a bad rap...it's the brunt of all the tea enthusiasts jokes, which makes sense because it's the #1 brand in the US (and some other parts of the world as well) by sales volume and presence. And I really...
Earl Grey (Pyramids) from Lipton Tea
Style: Earl Grey Tea – Region: Blend40 / 100 Aroma: 3/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 2/5

My friend picked up this tea bag for me; I've never seen it for sale and couldn't find it listed among Lipton's regular offerings, although it was listed under food service: it may not be available in the U.S. outside of food service settings.
There's not much aroma to the dry tea bag, nor to the brewed cup (3 minut...
Black Pearl Tea from Lipton Tea
Style: Ceylon Black Tea – Region: Sri Lanka / Ceylon57 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5

Surprisingly different from Lipton teabags, and surprisingly high quality. Rich, malty aroma, some bitterness in the aftertaste but smoother up front. A remarkably pleasing, full-bodied tea. I recommend brewing for about 3 minutes...more and it becomes too tannic.
My main complaint about this one, like all of Lip...
Orange, Passionfruit Jasmine Green Tea from Lipton Tea
Style: Fruit Green Tea – Region: Blend30 / 100 Aroma: 2/10 Flavor: 2/5 Value: 2/5
Mar. 8th, 2010
Aroma is intense and fruity, but muddled. I find that the jasmine doesn't blend well with the other aromas. The green tea is noticeable in this blend--but I'm not crazy of their choice of green tea to blend with the other ingredients. This tea is on the acidic side; it's bold flavor doesn't mesh well with the aroma....

Very pepperminty without being overwhelmingly so. Rich, full-bodied, but with less of the leafy aroma that some dried peppermint teas have. Smooth flavor, no sourness. I think this is among the better of Lipton's herbal offerings. The only thing lacking is the complexity of the aroma...I like mint teas that have a ...

Style: Chamomile Blend – Region: ?????37 / 100 Aroma: 4/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 2/5

This tastes less like Chamomile than any other teas labeled as "chamomile" that I've tried. Fairly sour and a bit muddled aroma. All of Lipton's herbal teas taste very similar to me; this one has a very noticeable orange presence and seems most similar to their orange herbal tea. While this is a perfectly drinkable ...

Very similar in character to Bigelow's orange and spice, but significantly more subdued. There's a fair amount of spice in the aroma, and thankfully, not too much cinnamon. A balanced tea. But I prefer Bigelow's because it is more powerful and aromatic.

Very mild, with not much ginger flavor. Brews an orangish color. Light, kind of relaxing. Has about as much ginger as Celestial Seasoning's Tension Tamer, and actually tastes oddly similar to that tea except without the bitterness and with less kick and less earthiness. Pleasant, but too weak for me.

A gentle and mild herbal tea. Brews an orange color. A hint of sourness but not too much, and not much bitterness either. None of the aromas dominate. In spite of the main ingredient being mint, I don't notice the mint all that much...pretty mellow.

I swear this tastes like it has a significant amount of pu-erh in it...it has that earthy, dust-like quality to it. I never used to like lipton's decaf until I started liking pu-erh and then my appreciation of it increased slightly--but only very slightly. It really could be a lot more bland than it is. But it's sti...

Very fruity aroma; something about the aroma seemed a bit overdone and somewhat unnatural. Overall though, it was not bad. The fruit dominates the aroma, however...I had little sense of what kind of white and green tea was used as a base--it was weak and not very present. The flavor is smooth but on the weak side. ...
