Jade Cloud (aka Green Jade) from Rishi Tea

Style: Green Tea – Region: Hubei, China

70 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5

Not bad, but a bit astringent (almost bitter) to my taste. It has a refreshing quality, too. This tea reminds me a lot of the teas I drank while living in Japan (though it's a Chinese tea).

Certainly worth giving a try. I always like the quality of Rishi teas.

Hibiscus Rooibos from Rishi Tea

Style: Flavored Rooibos – Region: Blend

93 / 100 Aroma: 10/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 4/5

EXCELLENT flavor combination. I love the fruitiness and the slight astringency (not bitterness) from the hibiscus. Both complement the rooibos very well. This sounded very good to me, so I'm glad that Rishi doesn't disappoint. If the ingredients list sounds good to you, you'll love it too.

It resteeps multiple times...

Chamomile Medley from Rishi Tea

Style: Chamomile Blend – Region: Blend

80 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5
Apr. 24th, 2015

Very good! Sweet, soothing, and rich without bitterness. One of the better blends I've found with peppermint. I actually tried this one in sachet form, but it's the same as their loose leaf. Definitely impressive for chamomile. I easily got two good cups out of it.

Turmeric Lemon from Rishi Tea

Style: Herbal Tea – Region: Blend

83 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 4/5
Apr. 18th, 2015

Very good! The tumeric is the most notable, followed by ginger, then lemon. The flavors are balanced very well. Perfect when you want something invigoratingly spicy at the perfect level of intensity.

Masala Chai from Rishi Tea

Style: Chai / Spiced Tea – Region: Blend

90 / 100 Aroma: 10/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 4/5
Mar. 31st, 2015

An excellent, high quality chai. The leaf smells so refreshing! I love the spice mixture.

I've tried this one a few different ways and have reached a few conclusions:

1) It's very nice even without milk and sugar.

2) If you want to make a latte, make sure the milk is heated at the same time as the water before...

Bao Zhong Oolong Tea from Rishi Tea

Style: Pouchong Tea – Region: Taiwan / Formosa

87 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 4/5
Mar. 18th, 2015

Very soothing tea. This reminds me a lot of a tea I've tried before, but I honestly can't figure out which one. It tastes, perhaps, similar to a good milky oolong, even though that's a different kind?

Silky and slightly floral, no bitterness--a great tea for sipping while relaxing. I'll update the value rating afte...

Hibiscus Berry from Rishi Tea

Style: Herbal Tea – Region: Blend

90 / 100 Aroma: 9/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 4/5
Mar. 14th, 2015

Very nice tea! Even the dry leaf is robustly fruity. Love the balance of fruitiness, tartness, and floral flavoring. The first cup had a nicer, redder color than the second, but the flavor was still good. There is no actual tea (or chamomile, rooibos, etc.) in this one; good for when you want flavor, but not caffeine. ...

Yunnan Breakfast from Rishi Tea

Style: Yunnan Red – Region: Yunnan, China

57 / 100 Aroma: 5/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Nov. 1st, 2014

Pleasant for a black tea, not bitter, and seems to be of good quality, but it tastes pretty ordinary to me. Black tea isn't my favorite, but I like trying them to see what I'll find. I added milk and this improved it a bit. I don't have anything negative to say about this tea, but it isn't really for me.

Tropical Crimson (Tropical Hibiscus) from Rishi Tea

Style: Herbal Tea – Region: Blend

63 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 2/5
Oct. 19th, 2014

Not bad, but not quite what I was hoping for. Ginger, lemon, and hibiscus are all dominant flavors--which sounds like it should be awesome, but for some reason didn't blend perfectly in this execution. There's nothing offensive about the flavor, though. Oh, and I did enjoy it more with food, so perhaps it simply needs ...

Blueberry Rooibos from Rishi Tea

Style: Fruit Rooibos – Region: Blend

87 / 100 Aroma: 9/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 4/5
Apr. 20th, 2014

Slowly but surely, I'm realizing that rooibos may be my favorite base for flavored teas. The aroma of this one before being brewed is intensely of blueberry, which I love. The flavor of the drink is both more subtle and more balanced. For me, this makes it a solid anytime tea. I brewed it fairly long, six minutes, but ...

Pu-erh Ginger from Rishi Tea

Style: Flavored Pu-erh – Region: Blend

70 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5
Apr. 18th, 2014

This is a very interesting tea. It's got the body of a black/breakfast tea, but a flavor I prefer over that kind. The ginger works well with the pu-erh, which has an almost raw fish-like aroma and flavor that is better than that description might make it sound. This tea works really well with food.
