This was a free sample from Mighty Leaf; thanks very much! So far this is the most disappointing tea I've tried from the batch so I wanted to get my review out of the way and move on to the others. I thought this was too thin for an Irish Breakfast, oddly muted; it tasted like something was missing, both in terms of...Read Full Review

The dry leaf is richly aromatic, smelling sweet, initially surprisingly fruit and then very malty.
Produces a rich, dark cup that is exactly what I'd expect from this type of tea. Strong but balanced. I found this had a slightly more fresh aroma and cooling qua...

This is a moderately tasty, smooth, full tea--especially for a store brand; but then again, Trader Joe's has surprised me in a pleasant way with most of their selections. It's one of the few black teas I've tried where the taste is a lot fuller than the aroma. Read Full Review

Trader Joe's Original Irish Breakfast is a smooth and dark tea with a welcoming and appealing aroma. The longer the tea steeps the more bitter it becomes but at the suggested time of 3 to 5 minutes you will find a wonderful cup of tea that pleases. I typically drink this at work, two to three cups each day, as a regul...Read Full Review

I thought this tea was good, but I was expecting it to be a little stronger since it's Irish Breakfast. Surprisingly, if you are looking for a strong brew of tea from Wegmans, I'd recommend the Organic Assam over this.Read Full Review

A good tea, but not really true to the Irish Breakfast style. Pricey, and requires a lot of leaf to brew strong enough for me.Read Full Review
Dry leaf has a slightly malty and strongly fruity aroma, and a heterogeneous color showing a lot of tips, which look dusty beige in color.

This was a solid Assam or Irish Breakfast from a tea bag, with a fairly complex aroma, definitely one of the best strong black teas I've had from such a simple tea bag of broken-leaf tea.Read Full Review

TJ's version of Irish Breakfast tastes like primarily Kenyan OP with a bit of Assam added for depth and body. There is not much of the malty character I look for in an Irish Breakfast tea. I have some loose leaf single estate Kenyan OP's which taste and smell very similar and make great iced tea. I think iced tea is wh...Read Full Review
