About Kagoshima, Japan

Kagoshima (鹿児島県) is a prefecture of Japan, located on the southernmost part of Kyushu, the southernmost of the four large islands of Japan. The prefecture also includes a number of small islands to the south.

Kagoshima is important in many types of agriculture, and tea is an important part of the agriculture here, which also includes sweet potato, radish, and unagi (eel).

Kagoshima is bordered to the north by Kumamoto prefecture, another important tea producing region.
