Organic Irish Breakfast Tea from Equal Exchange
Style: Irish Breakfast – Region: India61 / 100 Aroma: 5/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5

My review here is decidedly mixed. Since this isn't a bad tea, folks who are interested in the fair-trade/organic aspects may find this a good alternative to the relative dearth of such certifications among Irish Breakfast bagged teas. Being less refined, more of a troglodyte, I just want tea to taste good regardless...

The dry tea in the bags is finely chopped and smells strong and malty, like most grocery store Assam blends.
I steeped it for four minutes in boiling water and the brewed tea is more complex than I expected. The strong malt flavor has chocolate and molasses notes that set it apart from other Assam blends. It's moder...
Organic Black Tea from Equal Exchange
Style: Black Tea – Region: Blend75 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 5/5

Found this at the Sacramento Natural Foods Coop when looking for an alternative to the tea at my motel. I really like this tea. I brewed for 5 minutes and it has a slightly sweet flavor. I didn't detect any bitterness or astringency to it. It's very smooth. At a little more than $3 for 20 bags it seems like a good deal...

Served in Brewed Awakenings coffee shop in Newark, DE.
This chamomile in a humble, flat teabag impressed me with its clean, crisp flavor and bright, fresh aroma. More floral than most chamomile, also fruity, suggesting apple. There is a noticeable absence of the typical bitter aftertaste as well, although the finish...
Organic Black Tea from Equal Exchange
Style: Black Tea – Region: Blend63 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5

Quite good for a flat tea bag.
Brews up a very dark, opaque liquor. Malty aroma, a lot like an Assam or Irish Breakfast blend. Bold flavor, moderate astringency but still smoother than average for a tea bag of this strength.
I only steeped once, just under 3 minutes, and it produced good results. The tea was s...

I purchased this tea at amazon.com.I am a novice when it comes to teas and I don't like tea. However, this tea is delicious.I read that black tea lowers cortisol levels, and that darjeeling is the best tea.when I I drink it, within a short amount of time I am incredibly relaxed.I have high cortisol levels and am constantl...

This tea is pretty good. I think most brands of vanilla rooibos taste similar. This one has a little stronger of a rooibos base than usual. I added cream and sugar.

This is indeed a darjeeling second flush but its not muscatel all darjeeling second flush are not Muscatel. Only Makaibari has a house patent of Muscatel flavour. Indeed this tea has all characters of a 2nd flush, but not a muscatel.

Aroma darker and more earthy, less fruity, than other rooibos I've tried. Flavor smooth but with some zing to it, without being bitter or too sour. Some astringency, but not too much.
I like this much, much better than other "non-wild" red rooiboses that I've tried. Although I still prefer green rooibos, this is ...
Organic Darjeeling Black Pyramid Tea from Equal Exchange
Style: Darjeeling Black Tea – Region: Darjeeling, India80 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 4/5
Oct. 31st, 2009
Aroma spicy, unusually vegetal for a tea this dark, and unusually malty for a Darjeeling. Very interesting and complex! Dark liquor and tastes more like other black teas than most Darjeelings; I would not describe it as "golden" or "light". Remarkably bold and full-bodied and yet with little bitterness or astringenc...
