Almond Oolong from Adagio Teas
Style: Flavored Oolong – Region: Taiwan / Formosa72 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 2/5

Thank you to my friend Joe for giving me this sample!
The aroma of the dry leaf is intense and intoxicating, an intense fragrance of marzipan or sweeet almond, like stinging your nose in a bottle of amaretto or almond extract. It's pretty much all flavoring; I can't discern any qualities of the underlying tea from t...
Magnolia Oolong from Murchie's Tea & Coffee Ltd
Style: Flavored Oolong – Region: China83 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 4/5

This was an interesting tea; I love scented oolongs, and I love trying floral-scented teas other than the usual jasmine, so I jumped on the opportunity to try this one when I saw my parents had ordered some.
The dry leaf is surprisingly dark, looking like a darker-roast oolong, but upon opening the tin there was a s...
Todays Special Organic Ooo-long Tea With Plum (Oolong) from Blue Q
Style: Flavored Oolong – Region: ?????43 / 100 Aroma: 5/10 Flavor: 2/5 Value: 2/5

The tea bag has an interesting smell that reminds me of the inside of a used furniture store...like the smell of old upholstery with a hint of potpourri.
Upon brewing, a little muddled smelling and tasting. The flavoring is subtle, not overwhelming, and seems to blend well with the base tea. My problem is that the...
Rose Oolong from Chai Diaries
Style: Flavored Oolong – Region: Blend70 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5

A light-colored, medium-bodied tea dominated by the rose aroma.
Sampled at the Philadelphia Coffee and Tea Festival, another old review that I only posted now.
This blend's aroma struck me as all rose and no tea...the tea imparted only a mild body and richness, a slight flavor. The rose, however, dominates both ...
Peach Oolong from Infuze
Style: Flavored Oolong – Region: Blend63 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5

I was curious to try this one; I have been impressed with Infuze's other teas. I tend not to like flavored teas, but I think that oolongs, especially darker ones, often have a natural fruity aroma that blends well with flavorings of stone fruit like peach or apricot.
The dry leaf has an intense peachy aroma, almost...
Taiwan Ginseng (Lan Gui Ren) Oolong Tea from TeaVivre
Style: Ginseng Oolong – Region: Taiwan / Formosa60 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5

It's been a long time since I tried a ginseng oolong, so I'm not the most experienced reviewer of this type of blend.
Dry leaf shows a dusty appearance, and has a strong but muted aroma, suggestive of greener oolongs, but perhaps more woody and earthy.
Upon brewing, the aroma is predominately of oolong and the ...
Citrus Punch from Shanti Tea
Style: Flavored Oolong – Region: Blend67 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5

I am very skeptical of flavored teas in general, but this is a flavored tea done well. It is not only completely unlike any orange-flavored tea I have tried up until this point, but it was impressive.
The base tea shows a large-leafed, dark oolong, and the aroma is of both tea and orange.
Upon brewing, there is ...
Peach Oolong from Rishi Tea
Style: Flavored Oolong – Region: Blend63 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 2/5

It was interesting to me how radically different this tea is from Adagio's peachy oolong.
Brews a very clear, light pink cup. Flavor is clean, but sour. Aroma is intensely peachy, with a strong oolong presence as well...bold, greener character, floral and herbaceous.
Compared to Adagio's peach-flavored oolong, ...
Orange Blossom Oolong Tea from Imperial Tea Garden
Style: Flavored Oolong – Region: Blend70 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5

This was an interesting tea; I find the idea of blending oolongs from Sri Lanka and India to be intriguing. The leaf is mostly larger pieces of broken-leaf tea, and has a mix of different colors, including mostly darker but some greenish leaf. It also includes jasmine petals, although they seemed possibly more orname...

I probably would not have chosen to buy this tea on my own, but I had the opportunity to sample it. Even though this is not the sort of tea I usually like at all, I am impressed. I am especially impressed with the quality of the base tea.
This is a fruit-flavored oolong with a greener Tie Guan Yin as the base. I ...
Peach Oolong (Peachy Oolong) from Adagio Teas
Style: Flavored Oolong – Region: Taiwan / Formosa73 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5

Ironically, this tea is significantly less peachy in aroma than a number of pure (unflavored) oolongs I've had, including Adagio's own Dancong Aria.
The aroma is mostly of roast, and the roast is quite heavy. The base oolong really reminds me a lot more of a Chinese oolong than one from Taiwan. A hint of woody ton...
Coconut Mango Oolong Tea from Stash Tea
Style: Flavored Oolong – Region: ?????23 / 100 Aroma: 2/10 Flavor: 2/5 Value: 1/5

Artificial-smelling coconut aroma, which dissipates into mango, with the coconut returning in the finish. I don't notice any oolong presence or any tea presence for that matter. If anything, the tea only imparts a slight soapy quality. Brews a clear amber cup, with no bitterness and no astringency, and a hint of unp...

Aroma is light and floral; it's almost impossible to tell where the tea ends and the lilac begins: the two fragrances blend seamlessly. This tea does have a hint of the soapy quality that I find plagues some Tung Tings, in contrast to TT86, which wasn't my favorite tea, but lacked this soapiness.
I was disappointed...
