High Mountain Oolong Tea from Ten Fu's Tea

Unfortunately, neither the packaging nor website offers any information about the source of this tea. The tea is a lightly fermented, rolled oolong with a light to medium roast.
The tea is rolled very tightly and is rather dense. The dry aroma is of toasted bread and hazelnuts.
I brewed this tea western-style for...

What a steal! Where I live (Ohio), it sometimes difficult to find nice Tea in an actual store but every now and then you get lucky. I picked this up at a local International Market not expecting much out of it as the price was very cheap (100 grams for $7.99). I've not had much luck with similar purchases in the past i...

One of the 3 or 4 high mountain Taiwan oolongs that Music City offers. The company pretty much uses the same description for each of them, so I think a little more detail would be nice.
I usually get my green oolongs from Upton, but am always on the lookout for light oolongs from other companies so gave this one a ...

Dry Leaf Aroma: Surprisingly non-floral. I didn’t smell much of anything.
Brewing Aroma: Buttery and floral.
Flavor: This is a great oolong! I have found that lightly oxidized oolongs tend to be my faves. I love picking out floral notes when I know the tea ha...

This tea is gorgeous. I'm a little bit in love, with a tea. I'm resisting the urge to write: "on nom nom" as the entire review, because that's probably not very helpful.
The dry tea smells like green tea, but after steeping, it smells like sweet flowers, with a little bit of berry. It smells like summer!
This ...

Very sweet and yeasty, like freshly baking bread. There is also the intoxicating scent of honey and orchids with a small afterthought of allspice. Here is where it gets weird, the aroma reminds me of the smell of Amanita bisporigera aka Destroying Angel, the world's most toxic mushroom, and that is awesome. How is that...

I thought this tea was amazing. It went further than any tea I've had before at 5 cups with the same leaves, with a similar strength. I honestly think I could have brewed more, but my meeting was finished and I had to dump the remainder. I could gush about the vegetal taste of this tea, it was all I could want and mo...

The aroma of the loose leaves is a mix of roasted nuts, honey, and sesame seeds. It reminds of sesame honey candy and is quite delicious smelling. Brewing the leaves brings out vegetal qualities and sharp notes of fruit and osmanthus flowers. The liquid without the leaves have a roasted nuts and lettuce aroma.
The ...

A roasted tea with a mellow, warm, homey quality. I thought this an exceptional tea, definitely my favorite one sampled from Eco-Cha, but ranking among my favorite oolongs ever sampled.
The dry leaf smells of rich roast, with a background of honey-like qualities.
Upon brewing it becomes much more complex. Aroma...

A rich and interesting oolong, different from anything I've tried before. Very pleasing.
Dry leaf is loosely packed, takes up a lot of space, and has a pleasant and multifaceted smell, floral but with a light roast.
The aroma on this is similar to a light-to-medium roast, but the flavor is surprisingly bold. Fl...

I loved this one, and it seems to grow on me each time I drink it. It is rich and bold any way I make it.
The leaf has a rich, warming aroma, not very roasted but more homey.
I love the way this tea tastes when brewed in a mug. It's very rich and actually quite bitter. There's a hint of cinnamon in the aroma, ...

This tea has a lovely aroma blending floral and vegetal with an underlying sweetness. The brewed tea has a mild, sweet, and floral aroma.
I was able to get several steeps out of this tea and they were all very enjoyable. Smooth mouthfeel, sweet and floral taste with end notes of fruit, and ending the final steep on...

My mother really loved oolong tea, and first introduced me to this one as a recommendation since she first found it in a local Asian market. She loved the convenience of the foil wrapped sachets that made it convenient for her to stick in her purse when traveling, and I came to love the clean, simple, green oolong flav...

The best oolong I've had in a tea bag; nothing else comes close. Definitely up there with the top teas I've ever sampled from a tea bag.
Even in the bag, this smells like high-quality green oolong. Very similar to the two loose-leaf. The tea bag is fairly roomy, giving the leaf quite a lot of room to expand, and ...

I thought this tea was very good for its price! It was smooth and reminded me a little of chicken soup (odd, I know, but it had a comforting quality!) I'll definitely be having this tea again! :)

Now and then I buy tea loose-leaf tea in Chinatown, Asian import stores, and other specialty food stores, and I am often disappointed. However, this one was a pleasant surprise. I wasn't expecting much: I bought 100 grams of this Alishan Oolong for $7, which seemed extraordinarily cheap. I've had better Alishan Oolo...

The initial dry smell is sublime - floral, orchid, just wonderful. It diminishes over 3 infusions, but never quite leaves.
1. 1.5 min.very floral with a veggie edge. Buttery smooth, thick and full.
2. 2 min.more vegetal, with the floral coming out as it cools. Not a green , grassy vegetal, more along a buttery squ...
