Blackberry Black Tea from Solstice Tea Traders
Style: Fruit Black Tea – Region: ?????60 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Oct. 18th, 2018
I'm a big fan of berry... anything, so I was enthusiastic about a chance to try a few of the berry teas from Solstice, particularly after experiencing some of their other black teas. Blackberry was a good choice for them, and this tea shines in its aroma. It is a prominent blackberry aroma, and quite pleasant.

Vanilla Black Tea from Solstice Tea Traders
Style: Flavored Black Tea – Region: ?????60 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5

Straight vanilla black teas are a bit hard to come by. The majority of the time, the vanilla is blended with some other flavor and, when it isn't, it usually comes across tasting more like a cheap vanilla extract than true vanilla. Thankfully, this isn't the case for Solstice Tea's attempt.
The aroma isn't overwhelm...

Gold Rush Passion Peach Black Tea from Solstice Tea Traders
Style: Flavored Black Tea – Region: ?????55 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Oct. 16th, 2018
After reading a plethora of good reviews, I decided to order a few samples from Solstice Tea Traders. Gold Rush was my first test subject. Others have indicated, and I would agree, that this tea is best served hot. When it cools, it loses something both in flavor and aroma.
The aroma is subtle to begin with. It's a ...

Earl Grey Decaffeinated from Twinings
Style: Earl Grey Tea – Region: ?????55 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Oct. 16th, 2018
A weakly-flavored, not very aromatic tea experience. If you're looking for a very mild, decaffeinated tea that's easy on the stomach, this is a good choice, but if you were hoping for intense flavors, maybe try something else.

Black Forest Black Tea from Stash Tea
Style: Flavored Black Tea – Region: ?????55 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Oct. 6th, 2018
This tea does pull off the black forest cake aroma fairly well, but the flavor is one of a kind. It's not overwhelmingly chocolate, the initial flavor takes more from cherry, but the aftertaste is just like a warm slice of black forest cake. I'm not a big fan of chocolate teas, but this one was well worth trying!

Decaf Pumpkin Spice Tea from Stash Tea
Style: Flavored Black Tea – Region: ?????55 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Oct. 4th, 2018
I've never really understood the pumpkin spice craze. These days, almost everything comes in pumpkin spice, so I guess it's no surprise that tea does too. With the limited exposure I've had to pumpkin spice "things", I wasn't sure what to expect. I can definitely smell pumpkin (and spice), so the aroma's there. The fla...

Orange Spice Tea from Stash Tea

I think I keep expecting too much out of orange teas from Stash. I keep hoping that they'll have a distinct orange flavor, but none quite measure up to what I want. This tea has a definitively orange aroma, but the flavor is very subtle. It's there, but still feels more like a basic black tea than an orange tea to me. ...

Constant Comment® from Bigelow Tea

I like decaf Constant Comment, but hadn't gotten around to trying the original version. It turns out, it's not much different. I can taste a little of the maltiness in the finish, but that's about it. I already know that decaf black teas have little tea flavor, but I was hoping there would be more in this one. A bit of...

Lemon Lift Black Tea from Bigelow Tea

About 15 years ago, out by L.A., I saw a dude outside a smoothie shop dressed in yellow hat, yellow shoes and yellow tights, wearing a lemon costume. Had he asked me for a lift, I could have handed him a bag of this tea and satisfied the request.
Otherwise, the tea is not too useful. It reminded me a lot of flavor...

Lemon Twist from Twinings
Style: Lemon Black Tea – Region: ?????55 / 100 Aroma: 5/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 4/5

It's good, but it's just a very simple lemon flavor. The black tea flavor is too weak. Tastes a little too artificial. Twinings has better lemon/citrus flavored tea's, for sure.

Raspberry Royale® Black Tea from Bigelow Tea
Style: Fruit Black Tea – Region: ?????65 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 4/5
Jun. 9th, 2018
I like this tea. The flavor is quite complex and I'm not sure which flavors are the tea itself and which are "other natural flavors." The malt sweetness of the tea is foremost and the raspberry flavor is unmistakable, but subtle. The tea tastes alternately of Ceylon and Assam, coupling the malt with an almost roasted f...

Christmas in a cup. I look forward to this tea every holiday season! Even though there are no rules to drinking it all year long. I love the creamy vanilla taste added to a simple black tea. After brewing, I will add a splash of vanilla creamer or milk to the top. Perfect holiday tea.

Just spent a week drinking this tea. We were on a week long backpacking trip and since She Who Must Be Obeyed likes Earl Grey I packed this. Drank it every morning. It was hot, caffeinated and quite enjoyable, actually. Smoother and much more bergamot flavor than the bag of Bigelow's Earl Grey that had somehow hitched ...

This tea was awful. I truly couldn't get past the artificial peach flavor. I tried mixing it with a chai tea to make it drinkable (peaches and cinnamon seem like they should go together) but somehow it made it worse. It was like drinking potpourri. Another reviewer mentioned making an iced tea with celestial seasonings...

I really have been loving this tea since receiving it as a christmas present. My favorite thing about it is the full rich taste without additives. I dont like to add anything but a bit of stevia to my Teas, and sometimes I find that a tea doesnt have a sweet aromatic flavor without the addition of cream or sugar, but t...

Sweet Orange Tea from Tradition

The oversized sachet contains 3g of black tea that is broken, but large pieces. The orange scent is strong and there's a kind of vanilla sweetness that is almost cloying. Even so, the aroma of the tea comes through, smelling perhaps like either a Darjeeling or Chinese tea. Unfortunately, the packaging doesn't indicate ...

Earl Grey Decaffeinated from Twinings

As of this writing, the Cracker Barrel restaurant chain has started offering this tea as their mainstay Earl Grey for service, without telling the customer up front that it is decaffeinated. My wife ordered hot tea, expecting the usual (if tolerable) Lipton rubbish, and got this rubbish instead.
I need to qualify t...

The dry teabag smells mostly of cinnamon. There's a hint of citrus, but not near what I was expecting from the name.
Adding the hot water releases a distinct and pleasant lemon scent, but cinnamon is still the dominant aroma.
The taste is yet different. It definitely tastes of lemon oil or peel and is much strong...

I would tend to agree with the other reviews I've seen with regards to the flavor, but only because the aroma is so strong that I think the expectations for the taste are elevated. This is a great example of a tea whose smell is far greater than the flavor. That being said, the flavor is good, just not great. Furthe...

Milk and sugar makes this tea complete. The sugar, milk and added sweetness creates a lovely balance. The notes of the black tea are not overpowered. They all blend nicely. You can distinguish all of the flavours. I love it! Almond “milk” does work too. I’m sure most “milk” alternatives would work with this b...
