Chai Green Tea from Stash Tea
Style: Chai / Spiced Tea – Region: Blend47 / 100 Aroma: 5/10 Flavor: 2/5 Value: 3/5

This tea is, for lack of a more academic word, weird. The chai spices and the green tea are not a particularly harmonious combination, resulting in an aftertaste that's a little like biting into a cardamom pod, unpleasantly prickly.
It was an interesting idea, but it definitely doesn't offer that warm fuzzy feeling...

I want to like this tea more. Very strong ginger kick, which I enjoy, but a lemongrassy/medicinal foretaste, which I don't. I want something soothing yet spicy after dinner; this makes me feel like I'm being wormed.

I'm a Jasmine tea nut and always searching for good varieties. This tea was a great discovery...delicately fragrant with a lovely flavor. I highly recommend it.

I bought this tea because it seemed similar to Tazo's Passion tea, which I liked a lot. However, I was rather disappointed. The tea was quite flavorless until I steeped it a LONG time. After that it was ok. Since this is relatively inexpensive, it might be worth it if you are on a tight budget.

Strange and unusual; not overwhelmingly fruity, and very rich and full-bodied. A yeasty quality in the aroma, reminiscent of beer or bread. Thankfully, not too sour. I'm still not sure how much I like it, but it's different from any other fruit herbal tea I've tried so far...people who want something richer than the...

Aroma of spearmint and little else; disappointing after Stash's other flavored teas which have a bolder tea presence. The spearmint is very smooth and candy-like, but overall this tea is weak, especially in comparison to Stash's other offerings.
There is a little bitterness which was the only hint of green tea pres...

I don't usually drink tea bag tea any more, but this one is always tempting to buy. This chai is more spicy then other ones I have tried. It is a lot less vanilla tasting then most chai teas. I like it's spice and its a great treat in the fall.

I loathe this tea. To me, it tastes like artificial sweetener with an overlay of nut.

Very strong aroma, mostly of ginger, and a lot of lemongrass. A hint of tanginess but overall pretty smooth and not too sour. I really like this one.
This tea can be used for a second infusion or even a third, but all but the first cup have only a weak lemon quality and are mostly like ginger tea. If you want a m...

I like this teabag chai...and it's quite different. Happily, it's not too heavy on the cinnamon...the ginger, clove, and allspice are noticeable! The aftertaste is very clean and cool...more similar to Earl Grey than other chais. The black tea is nondescript and moderately strong...overpowered by the aroma of the sp...

This tea is too much like a regular spiced black tea with green tea substituted. But black and green teas have a very different character, so I think different proportions of spices are needed. The result in this case is a tea that does not blend well.
The cinnamon totally overpowers the tea and the other spices i...

Aroma grassy, fresh, a bit fishy. There's a hint of sweetness...a lot of astringency though. More like a sencha than any other kind of green tea. Is this tea attempting to be a sencha?
This tea is very difficult to brew. It scalds easily if the water is too hot, leaving it bitter and sour; there are a generous a...
Ginger Peach Green Tea from Stash Tea

Initial aroma is mostly of peach if you brew this tea briefly, but as you brew it longer the ginger comes out much more strongly; the ginger aroma stays in the cup. Smooth, fresh tasting...the ginger is very noticeable, especially if you brew it for a long time. I enjoyed this one very much; it has a very different c...

Complex aroma; has a floral fragrance, suggestive of Jasmine. Crisp, clean, and light, but surprisingly flavorful. Remarkably easy to brew; better with slightly lower temperature water, but does not scald as easily as other green or white teas. Outstanding for a teabag tea!

Don't like. It's really bitter tasting - I recommend Stash Tea's Fusion Green and White for something smoother yet still rich in antioxidants.
