Cranberry Pear from DAVIDsTEA

Style: Fruit Black Tea – Region: Blend

63 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5
Jan. 12th, 2014

This is my first DavidsTea. I received in a tea swap called The 12 Days of Christmas. We had a tea for each day, this was Day#1. The tea itself was fragrant and pleasant to look at. Taste was nice, I only detected the taste of the black tea and pear as well as the artificial flavoring they add and wondered if this ...

Kenyan Black Tea with Lemon (Teabags) from Ajiri Tea

Jan. 9th, 2014

I thought this to be a very original blend, top-notch.

Very intense lemon fragrance, holding its own against the base tea. Like most lemon myrtle, there's a deep woody or resinous undertone, making a very complex aroma, combined with the malty but fresh aroma of the Kenyan black tea. The lemon myrtle really holds ...

Smells great - but had an unpleasant bitter aftertaste - even moreso than other mid-grade bagged black teas that i have tried. Meanwhile, the pineapple scent was delightful - too bad ot does not taste as good as it smells. Steeps quickly and brews-up dark!

I have no complaints about the aroma, it smells like a mix of oranges and lemons, which is pleasant, especially first thing in the morning when you need an extra zing.

Sadly the flavor left a lot to be desired, it tasted too artificial. Like drinking a particularly weak tea that accidentally had some perfume dumped...

I was unimpressed with this variation on the classic Earl Grey. Of course, this blend lacks the bergamot which makes Earl Grey so distinctive, I think in an attempt to soften the flavor. Unfortunately, for me it softens the flavor too much.

To me this tea tastes weak and thin. While the overall blend of citrus is...

Black Currant from Tea Forte

Style: Fruit Black Tea – Region: Blend

Super expensive (as all the cutesy-packaged Tea Forte teas are!) but so deliciously fruity and easy to drink. (You can get 2 cups easily out of a bag - so keep that in mind. Needs no sweetener. Very good for first-time tea drinkers and the adorable packaging (and high price) make it a suitable hostess gift. Fun. (S...

I love this tea - sweet, peachy (without tasting of artificial peach) and a whisper of ginger (slightly lemony when served hot). Great hot or over iced. A winner for me.

Although it is a relatively inexpensive tea, I really enjoy this lady grey from Twinings. Those who enjoy a more subtle flavor of tea will enjoy this. It has a slightly fruity taste which I enjoy. It's the best when eating sweets I think. The light citrus flavor will compliment tart fruit flavors and offset sweeter fla...

This tea has a heavily citrus aroma. The tea doesn't taste very good to me, but I don't know what Lady Grey is supposed to taste like. It tastes very citrus and has a weak tea flavor. I like it enough to finish the cup, though. I added cream and sugar.

This tea was good for an average black, and I found it refreshing. The dried leaf smelled like lemon, which was a nice pick-me-up. The lemon hints didn't extend to the taste of the tea, which I also appreciated since I'm not much of a lemon tea fan! Overall I liked the tea, but I would look elsewhere if you are look...

For the most part, I like this tea, but there is a caramel-like quality to the aroma that I find objectionable. It's not clear what ingredient imparts this quality. Besides that, I think the tea is pretty good.

The base is a standard, full-bodied Ceylon of good quality, and in this blend, the base tea is pretty so...

This blend, which has since been discontinued, is an odd one. I can see why it was discontinued, but I'm glad that I was able to try it when it was available.

Tazo adds citric acid, "natural flavors", and orange peel to black tea to create this blend. Unlike Tazo passion, another blend with added citric acid, whic...

This the first Black Currant that I've had lately that hasn't smelled horrid. In fact, it is very nice and fruity, actually smelling and tasting like black currants. I wish more companies knew how to do theirs as well. I must give them low marks for their packaging, with is too much and probably why it is so expensi...

Supposedly Princess Diana's favorite. This is a very feminine tea that you can't quite pin down. Is it floral, is it fruity, yes, it's really both. It smells divine and tastes really really good. It's not one I spend much time analysing, I just enjoy it. It is perfect for a ladies tea party and it is wonderful ice...

This tea has a fantastic aroma! A truly lovely sweet (but not sickly sweet!) cherry smell. And unlike most fruit teas, which I find tend to taste thin and bitter, the flavor actually holds up! It's pretty over powering actually, but in a good way. If you're a fan of fruit teas, definitely take the time to check this on...

Muscat wine flavored tea... very strange yet intriguing! A fantastic smelling tea, however the flavor itself is a little lacking- not bad by any means but I found the novelty sort of wears off half way through the cup. I got this as a tea sample when purchasing other teas from Lupicia and while I enjoyed the experience...

I had to try this tea because my neighborhood tea sommelier told me it was based on Muscat wine...which I love. The aroma of this tea knocks your socks off...its sweet, flowery, almost with a fruit punch scent. However, the taste is no where near as strong as the aroma which i thought was odd. It wasn't a bad thing, st...

Tastes like Kool-Aid, basically. I was unable to distinguish any basic tea flavor. And I had to use two teabags per cup to get much flavor at all.

No, thank you.
