Plum Brandy Cheesecake from Butiki Teas
Style: Flavored Oolong – Region: Blend77 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5
Jan. 10th, 2015
Oh, so yummy! I wasn’t sure what I would think of this one because of the unusual sounding combination. The smell out of the bag was rich with cheesecake and a small sniff of plum – the tea was dark and with flecks of purple and colors. A happy looking tea.
At first sip I didn’t get much but more came clea...
Blood Orange Sorbet Oolong Tea from Teavana
Style: Flavored Oolong – Region: Blend93 / 100 Aroma: 9/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 4/5

First off, there isn't much tea in this fruity delight, not that I care. I love it hot and sweet 3-4 tsp. sugar and this is one smooth and soothing brew that absolutely grows on you. Absolutey one of my favorite teas. I recommend it without reservation.
Todays Special Organic Ooo-long Tea With Plum (Oolong) from Blue Q

Oooh, now this is an interesting tea. I wouldn't be in the right mood for it all the time, but when you need just a hint of fruitness or sweetness it's just about right. The scent is quite pleasant--it reminds me of a plum wine or even sake. It seems that oolong was a pretty good choice to blend with plum. There must b...

I used to hate oolong tea. I couldn't tell you the brands I tried in the past, but every cup of oolong I sipped tasted like mud. And, I know most tea-savvy people feel disdain toward Teavana, but I have to say their Six Summits Oolong opened my mind to oolong. That I could enjoy it.
The scent of the dried tea is ple...

Dry Leaf Aroma: Floral and grapey

Flavor: Wow, excellent. The base tea is a lovely oolong with floral flavors, which blend nicely with the grape flavor. The grape isn't overwhelming at all, and lets...

The tea bag has an interesting smell that reminds me of the inside of a used furniture store...like the smell of old upholstery with a hint of potpourri.
Upon brewing, a little muddled smelling and tasting. The flavoring is subtle, not overwhelming, and seems to blend well with the base tea. My problem is that the...
Anjou Pear-adise Oolong Tea from Teavana
Style: Flavored Oolong – Region: Blend47 / 100 Aroma: 5/10 Flavor: 2/5 Value: 2/5

Hmm. This dry tea smells great, the brewed tea smells ok (the pear aroma is quiet), but when I sip this, I don't taste any pear.
The tea is a pretty pinkish color when brewed, and it has a nice hint of sweetness, but I would like to have some pear flavor that I can detect.
The tea also left a significant amount ...
Ginseng Vitality Oolong from Teasenz
Style: Ginseng Oolong – Region: Taiwan / Formosa80 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5

I found the aroma to be very green, like bamboo leaves and herbaceous like dill weed. There is also earthiness and the aroma of baked bread with a slight undertone of sweetness. The ginseng is an odd smelling herb, it gives a slight muskiness to the already herbaceous aroma.
The taste is strange yet good, it is the ...
Pomegranate Oolong from Harney and Sons
Style: Flavored Oolong – Region: ?????70 / 100 Aroma: 9/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 2/5

I got this in a "Silky Sachet" in an upscale restaurant. It has a very strong red-berry/pomegranate aroma which fades upon steeping. I liked this one - surprisingly - and I did add 1 packet of Splenda to it.
Also would be good iced, I imagine.
Caramel Apple Oolong from 52 Teas
Style: Flavored Oolong – Region: Fujian, China50 / 100 Aroma: 3/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Jan. 20th, 2014
The aroma smells nothing like apples or caramel, it smells like melons. I really do not like melons. Once brewed the melon smell dies down and there are notes of apples and caramel.
I am going to start this by saying I like the Oolong base, it is rich and sweet with caramel notes (ok that actually could be from the ...
Rose Oolong from Chai Diaries

A light-colored, medium-bodied tea dominated by the rose aroma.
Sampled at the Philadelphia Coffee and Tea Festival, another old review that I only posted now.
This blend's aroma struck me as all rose and no tea...the tea imparted only a mild body and richness, a slight flavor. The rose, however, dominates both ...
Peach Oolong from Infuze
Style: Flavored Oolong – Region: Blend63 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Dec. 16th, 2013
I was curious to try this one; I have been impressed with Infuze's other teas. I tend not to like flavored teas, but I think that oolongs, especially darker ones, often have a natural fruity aroma that blends well with flavorings of stone fruit like peach or apricot.
The dry leaf has an intense peachy aroma, almost...
Earl of Anxi from Verdant Tea

The aroma of this tea is a fantastic blend of the different ingredients in this tea, no one aroma is dominant and they are well balanced. It is nothing short of exotic. The brewed tea is equally delicious blending floral, citrus, saffron, and frankincense.
The taste is delicious mixing honey and fruity sweetness wi...

The flavor of this tea is great, smooth to the palate cold or hot with or without a little sugar.
I can taste the combination of ingredients and
I dream with the champagne and roses.
It´s one of my favorites.

Kamiya Papaya Oolong Tea from Teavana

This digestive tea taste wonderful for all the fruits that it.contains. But it has artificial flavoring.
Frappe, hot and cold with or without a little milk always taste good.
It´s bad this tea for the artificial flavoring, you buy a perfume not a tea.

I thought this tea was a steal and really good for being from novelty company! I've found their boxes for $1.50 -- not bad if you ask me.
The tea smelled like plum, and had a nice taste, albeit bitter, but nice. It was strong for an oolong and I thought it tasted more like a black.
If you are looking for a subtl...
Taiwan Ginseng (Lan Gui Ren) Oolong Tea from TeaVivre
Style: Ginseng Oolong – Region: Taiwan / Formosa60 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5

It's been a long time since I tried a ginseng oolong, so I'm not the most experienced reviewer of this type of blend.
Dry leaf shows a dusty appearance, and has a strong but muted aroma, suggestive of greener oolongs, but perhaps more woody and earthy.
Upon brewing, the aroma is predominately of oolong and the ...
Smoked Maple from Shanti Tea
Style: Flavored Oolong – Region: China90 / 100 Aroma: 9/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 4/5

This is a preliminary rating based on the smell alone - I just got a sample of this loose-leaf tea and can't wait to brew some up. I bet it'd be great in the winter as you can smell a sweet maple scent and as Sylvia mentioned a faint whisper of smoky wood. It looks appealing visually as well. I will update this revi...

This is very interesting tea. The only coconut tea I had been exposed to prior to this one was the "Zingiber Ginger Coconut Rooibos Tea" from Teavanna. In that tea, the coconut gives it a very smooth flavor, but the tea itself doesn't taste particularly like coconut as much as it just tastes sweet. This tea, on the oth...

I should say I like this tea, but I do have a gripe about labeling. Milk oolongs aren't, in and of themselves, flavored teas. As I understand it, the name is applied to a particular oolong variety that has a milk-y flavor and aroma. However, some companies add flavor to their milk oolongs further to increase the milkyn...

The aroma is almost repulsive to me, but I don't like high-quality green teas, and this tea has a base of green oolong. The flavor is subtle. It's not as strong as I would like it, but the ginger stands out, and I don't like that. I added cream and sugar.
