Organic Earl Grey Black Tea from Arbor Teas

Style: Earl Grey Tea – Region: India

80 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 5/5
Apr. 29th, 2023

This is a good deal on an organic earl grey - as of this writing an 11 oz bag is selling for a very attractive price, and it is a good tea. The base tea is pretty mellow, and there is a little candied orange flavor from the bergamot. This is on the low-key side for the style. The aroma of the dry tea is strong and citr...

This is an Indian black tea flavored with organic coconut, organic marigold/calendula, and coconut and mango flavoring - so it is very tropical in character. It was quite nice with milk and sugar, or with just sugar, sort of dessert like. I bet it would be good on ice as well.

This is a medium strength tea with some light, woody tannins. It goes best with milk, but it works with lemon and sugar also. It has vanilla in it, and that helps give it a nice aroma, and has a subtle impact on the flavor. Overall, it is a good, versatile tea that I would buy again.

This earl grey had the strangest green unripe taste. I wasn’t a fan which is disappointing since I had high hopes after trying their Assam.

I enjoyed this tea. This tea has a nice light yellowish amber color. Mild in taste with a nice hint of bergamot. Does not linger on the tongue. Milk, cream, or sugar would probably over power this tea.

This is one of the best Earl Greys I've had. The base tea is wonderful and the bergamot is subtle. Note that I'm saying that "subtle" is a positive thing, so if you like Earl Grey with a powerful citrus flavor, then this one might not be what you're looking for.

That said, the tea is extremely mellow for an Assam in...

Had this at a cafe recently as a London Fog. They put THREE teabags in it and it was really overwhelming. Drank half the cup then added milk and it was so much better. Bought some to make myself and will update the review then.

There is a lot of good about this tea, but with some trade off. To start with, I love the bold aroma. Big aroma and a bigger bag of earl grey per serving than other brands I have tried (Bigelow, Twinnings, Earl Greyer to name a few). The trade off here is it needs to be brewed the full 5 minutes like it says on the pac...

This was one of the atypical flavored teas I've had with a scent (both dry-bag and in-cup) noticeably bigger than the taste. I'm having trouble rating this tea because it depends on what you're seeking. Aroma? Strong, fruity, potent, almost mouth-watering. Looks and taste? The base tea is very rich and flavorful, ...

Aromatic tea with, maybe, the best smell. But scent is the best part of it, and considering price, would rather go with something else.

The aroma is really sweet, it smells just like one of those vending machine danishes (I don't think I have ever had any other kind of danish actually) there is intense blueberry notes with a hint of cream cheese and a touch of yeastiness like pastry. Add a touch of malty tea and it reminds me of drinking tea and having...

Updated Review: I tried this tea again and, this time, i was able to make it so that it was more enjoyable. As long as i don't let it overbrew and I add milk, this is actually quite a delightful tea--invigorating without being bitter.

The bergamot tastes natural, but I'd like a more robust citrus flavor. Last time I...

Numi Aged Earl Grey Assam- Now we're talkin' tea! Hands down, this is my all around absolute favorite tea. The moment you open a packet, the powerful, heady aroma of bergamot saturates the senses. It is noticeably fresh, not highly perfumed like most other offerings, for they use real Bergamot, not "natural flavorin...

I usually don't care for passionfruit - but I had a Shanti Iced Passionfruit Black tea - and man, was it good. Granted, it was the middle or summer - so this was a fruity, refreshing sip.
I don't think this tea is discontinued - as I just had it.

Too weak for me. I did steep it longer after reading Alex's review of another Organic India Tulsi Tea and it did seem to help - made it smoother and seemed to lessen the clove/minty aspects of the tea. It is a nice tea but I doubt I will be purchasing again.

this is alright as earl greys go, but certainly not excellent. the bergamot was not as strong as i like it. smooth.

kind of expensive. there are better earl greys out there... my favorite is zhena's gypsy - uplifting earl grey. earl grey supreme by rishi is also good.

This tea is smooth and balanced and the way it makes you feel is smooth and balanced as well. It's a bit like a masal chai/spiced tea since the tulsi imparts clove and other spicy aromas. The tulsi is strong enough that I can't really say all that much about the quality of the tea, but whatever tea is used blends wel...

Certainly one of the better bagged teas I've tried and one I really enjoyed.

The fruit taste can get a little strong if the tea is steeped more than about 4 minutes, i've found that 3-4 minutes with hotter water is just about perfect.

Nice aroma, and well balanced, the fruit does not overpower the darjeeling fl...

This is my favorite Earl Grey that I've ever had from teabags. It has a very bold bergamot aroma, with a clean and refreshing quality. It is much smoother than most black teas: very little astringency, while still having a rich flavor.

A bit expensive for a teabag tea, but more reasonable considering the quality a...
