Peppermint Tea Bags from Murchie's Tea & Coffee Ltd
Style: Peppermint Tea – Region: United States of America85 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 5/5
Jan. 25th, 2024
As much Murchie's tea as I've ordered, chugged and rated, and as strongly as I love peppermint, this was only a matter of time. Usually, I get a quick box of somebody's peppermint tea (usually Celestial Seasonings, which I've rated highly) at a retail store and go with that. However, lately amid price inflation of al...

This is the worst peppermint tea I've had, and that's soon after trying my next-lowest rated peppermint, from another store brand. Guess I'm on a roll...around the bowl and down the hole! That's where the rest of this cup is going.
Out of the wrapper, the dry bag had only about 1/4 of its volume, maybe less, occup...
Peppermint Herbal Tea from Stash Tea
Style: Peppermint Tea – Region: United States of America50 / 100 Aroma: 5/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5

I'm still looking for what I'd consider a perfect peppermint tea, but of the Stash mint varieties I've tried, I will say that this was the best. The aroma doesn't quite fit, it seems a bit on the weak side, but the flavor is definitely peppermint. It's not overpowering, maybe not even full-bodied, but definitely pepper...

This tea has a wonderful minty aroma, not overpowering, but definitely mint. It's not an overpowering flavor either, but not too subtle. Definitely minty, but I disagree with the other reviewer who indicated it was like you just brushed your teeth... to me, that would be too much; this is just enough mint.

I'm a little disappointed in this tea. I've only had one other brand of peppermint tea, and thought t was incredible. I assumed all peppermint teas would be the same, but this one is a little disappointing. Its not bad, just kind of weak compared to the other brand I've tried.

For peppermint, it's hard to top CS' version. As noted in some of my other peppermint tea reviews, this is an herb that is difficult to ruin anyway, and I love the flavor, whether stand-alone or mixed with other products (teas, candies, cookies, etc.). Some tea companies do use stems as cheap filler, or unadvertised ...

Boxes of Yanabah teas, named after a Navajo matriarch beloved by the makers, appeared in the gift shop at Monument Valley for about 6 bucks (a tad on the costly side, but that is a tourist shop). Naturally I had to try something new, and bought the basic flagship variety. Greenthread is a common native forb in the ast...

Peppermint teas, if done right, should look, smell and taste identical regardless of the brand name. This is because the ingredient is singular and straightforward: chopped, dried peppermint leaves: M. balsamea Willd. That's it.
Differences in strength, freshness and flavor, therefore, are related not to the c...

Served in the Barnes & Noble Cafe in Newark, DE.
I am more partial to spearmint than peppermint, but I do enjoy peppermint from time to time. I picked this one mainly because it was one of the only two caffeine-free herbal options in the cafe, and I had already tried the other one.
This is a very good peppermint ...

Not too bad, but nothing to rave about. Straightforward peppermint, so if that's what you're craving it certainly works. I would enjoy it if in the mood for non-sweet peppermint, but otherwise it's underwhelming.
I would add that, though I don't know why, the second cup was superior to the first.

I tried this tea because the positive ratings by others. It really is a great tea.
The aroma took me by surprise at first. It's hard to describe...Sort of like peppermint. You might expect the tea to taste really sharp judging by the scent. The exact opposite is true. It tastes very smooth and clean. It has a refres...

This is a hibiscus-based herbal blend. I tried it because I like hibiscus teas, but I wanted something more well-rounded and which cut down on the natural sourness of hibiscus.
The tea has a very nice scent both raw and brewed. You can tell MRH uses high-quality ingredients. The color of the brewed tea is a beautifu...

Oooh, very tasty tulsi! Very smooth, lightly spiced with complexities that taste not-quite-floral, not-quite-citrus. Very soothing aroma too.
It can steep for a long time without turning bitter (which is good, because it diffuses slowly) and has a lovely light gold color. The water I used was fresh boiled. My first ...
Pacific Peppermint from Octavia Tea

Served at Velvet Sky Bakery in Jenkintown, my favorite place to sample Octavia's teas.
I love mint, but I tend to strongly prefer herbal teas brewed from other varieties of mint, like spearmint or apple mint, rather than peppermint.
Brews a dark amber with a tinge of greenish.
Very potent aroma, but somehow wi...

A truly artisanal example of this herb. Tastes the closest to the fresh-harvested, home-grown example of this herb than any other one I have bought through a company. Astonishing complexity for Rama Tulsi.

I'm used to drinking iced herbal tea brewed from fresh lemon balm, or from my own dried batches of the herb, which I dry in whole-leaf form. This herb was pretty finely broken, and had a pretty different flavor and aroma.
The aroma is only very mildly lemony, much less so than my own batches of the herb, but it's v...

Wow. And I thought I'd tried lemon verbena before. This is the first herbal tea that I've given a perfect rating, and only my second perfect rating.
