The dry leaves of this tea are very beautiful, and have a fuzzy, soft look to them and are yellow golden color. This color changes to a reddish brown hue after being steeped. The liquor is smooth and has a medium mouth feel, right in between thin and thick. This tea’s liquor was quite spicy, reminiscent of black peppe...

The liquor is a pale honey/copper color and has some similar smells that were in the dry leaf, which was a savory smell. The wet leaf really had more of a black tea smell to it, which was reminicent of a ceylon tea to me, smelling tanin like and a tiny bit malty. The tea is silky and light. It really does not stay aroun...

i like this tea a lot, it tastes a little roasted, slightly vegetal, and spicy, but it satisfying. I steeped this tea in my yixing tea pot for a second time and was blown away by some very strong floral notes in the aroma that went undetected when the tea was brewed in a regular porcelain pot. How strange! The taste is ...

Very smooth tea. The smell is sweet and reminds me of cinnamon toast crunch mixed with honey. The taste is very clean, green and enjoyable. It’s a laid back cup for me, which is exactly what I am looking for at 5pm. However, I would have liked to have a bit more flavor, it isn’t strong, but it could be stronger, imo.

This chai is green, spicy and sweet at the same time! I really enjoyed it! The cinnamon sure packs a punch! It would taste great made with some hot milk and the milk would probably tone down the cinnamon level just a bit.

What an interesting green tea, it’s like none i’ve ever had. The liquor is thicker than usual, and the color is darker as well. It doesn’t taste vegetal,or grassy at all, but instead has an earthy aspect, that reminds me of some black teas maybe? I can’t place the taste, but it is really full and very flavorf...

Sticky Rice Pu-erh Tuocha from Chicago Tea Garden

Good tea, very strange though. It smelled and tasted like Sticky Rice throughout the 7 infusions that I steeped. I'm not sure if I am a big fan of that sticky rice flavor, so I can only see myself drinking this tea every once in a while. Regardless, it was a cool find and an interesting tea to come across.

Finally got my hands on I’ve only had a sample of this back when Tony opened Chicago Tea Garden, but it left quite the impression on me, as i’m always thinking back to this tea when trying out other Tie Guan Yins. The smell is fruity and floral and the taste replicates the smell quite a bit.The flavor is very smoo...

Style: Jasmine Pearls – Region: China83 / 100 Aroma: 10/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5

The smell and taste of the Jasmine was authentic, and not artificial. The aroma of the tea was of Jasmine flowers, sweet and soft, calming me down and reminding me of a sleepy time tea. The color of the liquor was very light, as expected from the white tea leaves. The white tea is tasty, I could taste the creaminess an...

I’ve enjoyed this tea personally for the past week, but haven’t wrote a review because I just wanted to sip on it without having to think about it too much. This tea makes me feel , awake and cleansed in a strange way, because I’ve never felt that way with many teas. I’m sitting outside right now, with my cup o...
