Peppermint (Sachets) from Harney and Sons
Style: Peppermint Tea – Region: Oregon, United States63 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 2/5
Dec. 20th, 2015
Served in the Barnes & Noble Cafe in Newark, DE.
I am more partial to spearmint than peppermint, but I do enjoy peppermint from time to time. I picked this one mainly because it was one of the only two caffeine-free herbal options in the cafe, and I had already tried the other one.
This is a very good peppermint ...
Organic Mint Melange from Mighty Leaf Tea
Style: Mint Tea – Region: Morocco80 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 3/5
Oct. 6th, 2015
A very smooth, yet somewhat complex mint that struck me as all or mostly spearmint, although Mighty Leaf doesn't specify exactly what mint is used.
I'm a tough customer when it comes to mint teas; I've grown dozens of different types of mint in my gardens, and spent years carefully blending them. Most commercially ...
Refreshing Peppermint Infusion from Pure Tea Selection
Style: Mint Tea – Region: ?????70 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5
Oct. 26th, 2014
Served with the outstanding, high-quality breakfast at the Hotel Alt-Görlitz in Görlitz, Germany.
Although this is labelled just Peppermint (both in German and English), close reading of the ingredient list betrays that the it's a mint blend: the main ingredient is spearmint and peppermint is the second ingredient...
Pacific Peppermint from Octavia Tea
Style: Peppermint Tea – Region: United States of America60 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5
May. 15th, 2014
Served at Velvet Sky Bakery in Jenkintown, my favorite place to sample Octavia's teas.
I love mint, but I tend to strongly prefer herbal teas brewed from other varieties of mint, like spearmint or apple mint, rather than peppermint.
Brews a dark amber with a tinge of greenish.
Very potent aroma, but somehow wi...
Refresh Mint Full Leaf from Tazo Tea
Style: Mint Tea – Region: ?????70 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 4/5
Nov. 13th, 2013
This full-leaf sachet definitely offers an upgrade in experience relative to the old, flat tea bag. The first thing I notice is that there is much more leaf, leading to a very potent cup.
The overall character of the blend is the same, but I thought it was a little more complex: the mint was more herbaceous and sme...
Peppermint from Adagio Teas
Style: Peppermint Tea – Region: ?????63 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5
Nov. 25th, 2012
This was among the highest-quality of the commercial pure peppermint herbal teas that I've sampled, from a tea company. Quality-wise, it is about on par with Two Leaves and a Bud's, but the price point is markedly lower. It still pales in comparison with the stuff I've grown in my own garden.
Aroma is strongly pep...
Peppermint Herbal Tea from Bigelow Tea
Style: Peppermint Tea – Region: ?????50 / 100 Aroma: 5/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 2/5
Jul. 16th, 2012
I find it interesting that Bigelow offers both this pure peppermint herbal tea, and the mint medley blend. The mint medley is more widely available and I prefer it, because I like spearmint more than peppermint in herbal teas. Both I think are quite good.
There are aspects of this pure peppermint tea that I like b...
Classic Mint (Egyptian Mint Herb Tea) from Novus Tea
Style: Peppermint Tea – Region: Egypt50 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 2/5
Mar. 2nd, 2012
Very fresh, crisp peppermint aroma. Clean but without being flat. Little of the complex herbaceous aroma that I like though, in peppermint. Strong but without being candy-like.
I tried this mainly to try it, peppermint grows out of control in this climate and I'm never short of it...so I wouldn't buy this (or any...
Refresh Mint Filterbag from Tazo Tea
Style: Mint Tea – Region: ?????57 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Jul. 14th, 2011
I think this blend strikes a good balance between spearmint and peppermint, with both noticeable and neither overpowering the other. I can actually detect the tarragon as well; it's not as evident in the aroma, but it is a bit in the aftertaste; it's subtle but makes this tea somewhat more pleasing.
Moderately stro...
Mint Tea from Badia
Style: Mint Tea – Region: ?????63 / 100 Aroma: 5/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 5/5
Mar. 17th, 2011
It's not totally clear from the packaging exactly what this is made of, but the description suggests that it's a blend of peppermint and spearmint, and I think this is probably true after trying it.
Aroma is more peppermint than spearmint, but unlike some mint blends, there is definitely a balance. There is less of...
Pure Peppermint from Twinings
Style: Peppermint Tea – Region: ?????53 / 100 Aroma: 5/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 2/5
May. 17th, 2010
Less of the strong peppermint aroma than most peppermint teas...very dark in color, unusually so...more of the general leafy/herbaceous aroma. Not at all sour and very little bitterness or sweetness...this is primarily an aromatic tea.
Noticeably more complexity than Lipton's peppermint. Among bagged peppermint te...
Peppermint Herbal Tea from Lipton Tea
Style: Peppermint Tea – Region: ?????57 / 100 Aroma: 5/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5
Dec. 10th, 2009
Very pepperminty without being overwhelmingly so. Rich, full-bodied, but with less of the leafy aroma that some dried peppermint teas have. Smooth flavor, no sourness. I think this is among the better of Lipton's herbal offerings. The only thing lacking is the complexity of the aroma...I like mint teas that have a ...

Aroma very strong but more grassy and herbal, and more complex, than most straight peppermint teas. Balanced and not overpowering. Only a hint of sourness, less than most peppermint teas.
I still prefer the stuff I grow and dry myself, but this is a pretty good alternative. I give such a low rating for "value" be...
Mint Medley® Herbal Tea from Bigelow Tea
Style: Mint Tea – Region: ?????57 / 100 Aroma: 5/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 4/5
Oct. 17th, 2009
Aroma is dominantly peppermint, the spearmint isn't really that noticeable. There are a few other non-mint things noticeable; I'd prefer this tea just use mint, and go a little lighter on the peppermint; this comes across as too similar to a pure peppermint tea for my tastes, and if I want that, I'd rather drink a tea...
