A mild, pleasant Earl. Clearly good quality tea and bergamot. Clearly too much packaging.

For tea bag tea, this was quite nice. A fine, middle of the road Earl Gray.It was not too strong or too perfumey, probably one to turn to when you just want something pleasant

Broken-leaf, but not fannings like their English Breakfast. I brewed for only 1 minute. The cup was a very rich reddish brown color.
Aroma is extremely perfumey for an Earl Grey, and rather fruity and citrusy. Smells more like a normal orange than the bergamot orange too, and smells almost candy-like, but almost ...
Earl of Bengal Tea from Teatulia
Style: Earl Grey Tea – Region: Bangladesh70 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 5/5

I don't find much difference among the various serious Earl Greys (I'm dismissing some of the really cheap ones with a fake taste), maybe because the bergamot gives them all a distinctive flavor. This one is a pleasant, reasonably aromatic version. Generally, I prefer a stronger, darker tea, but this would be good for...

The loose leaf is larger and lighter gray than any of Teatulia's other black teas. The aroma of the dry leaf is strongly of bergamot, but it is a deep, complex aroma.
I brewed this tea for two minutes using one teaspoon per cup. This produced a bold, strong cup of tea that I think is a classic Earl Grey: very bala...
Devonshire Earl Grey from Upton Tea Imports
Style: Earl Grey Tea – Region: Blend93 / 100 Aroma: 9/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 5/5
Jul. 25th, 2010
This is the newest of Upton's Earl Greys. It has a floral, sweet scent, with a touch of Juicy Fruit gum. This carries through into the taste, but the bergamot increases here, so you are left with a very pleasant cup. They add a bit of lemon or peel to the blend, which deepens the tea. I particularly like it blended...

Exceptionally lemony and citrusy for an Earl Grey...there's only a weak suggestion of the usual bergamot aroma. The aroma is more like candied lemon than Earl Grey tea, and it has an artificial quality to it. The black tea presence is entirely unremarkable...although this tea brews a dark color, there is little other...

this is alright as earl greys go, but certainly not excellent. the bergamot was not as strong as i like it. smooth.
kind of expensive. there are better earl greys out there... my favorite is zhena's gypsy - uplifting earl grey. earl grey supreme by rishi is also good.

this is my second-favorite earl grey [second to Zhena's Gypsy Tea Uplifting Earl Grey].
Since the Gypsy's offering is my favorite, i use it as a standard to compare other earl greys to.

note: the tea i'm reviewing is labeled as 'uplifting earl grey.' i am assuming that they've recently changed the name to 'earl greater grey.' when i see the new version around, i'll give it a try. i'll update this review if the new version is a different product.

This is among the better Earl Greys I've had from a tea bag. Strong, very bitter, but not too tannic (especially if you use a briefer brewing). The bold bergamot presence is balanced by an aromatic black tea. I would not call this tea "light and elegant"--I think this is a stronger tea (but I used one teabag for cup...

A perfect Earl grey, strong black tea with a strong bergamot aroma that paints the background of this tea, not overpowers it. The black tea blend stands up to the aroma of bergmot and isn't harsh or astringent.

The dry leaf is finely broken and has an aroma mostly of bergamot. But upon brewing this tea I was surprised to find that it has a bold black tea presence with only a hint of bergamot in the cup.
The black tea is also very interesting. It's malty like an Assam, but very gentle, lacking the strength and richness th...

I found this to be fine quality, aromatic tea with the right amount of bergamot flavoring. Although I bought mine on sale, I think the quality merits a higher price for a high grade English tea.

The bergamot dominates the tea aroma in this blend, but what black tea there is in the aroma has a decent quality. I find that Earl Grey tends to make a better decaffeinated tea than most other black teas, and this tea fits that pattern well.
I still find this tea, like most of mighty leaf's offerings, to be insane...

Tea smells fabulous and the taste is strong. It has a lot of bergamot in the taste, but that makes sense. Could probably use some lemon though.

Readily available, and not annoyingly heavy with the bergamot. The first Earl Grey I ever tried, and as such forms a baseline for comparison of other Earl Greys that I try.

Fair nose dominated by the bergamot. Made from the bag, the steeped tea has no truly distinctive flavors. My guess is that by the time it made it through the distribution chain, all the life had oxidized out of this tea.

Twinings is a good tea but I've found what I consider comparable quality teas to be less expensive. For example, the "Publix Premium" brand Earl Grey, produced by a grocery chain here in the U.S., costs 30-40% less while being of about comparable quality to Twinings, in my opinion.
As others have said, Twinings is l...

It's pretty good tea overall. This is one of the only brands of loose leaf tea available in my area, so I drink this stuff up often. It is, however, kind of dry in comparison to some other brands of Earl Grey I've tried. The Bergamot oil is pretty light in this brand.
Overall, it's worth keeping some around.

A bold and sharp Earl Grey. Very strong bergamot presence, which I like! The black tea also has some complexity to it, although it quickly becomes very bitter and astringent, so I recommend brewing briefly. I was surprised at the quality of this tea.
