Verbena from Ronnefeldt
Style: Lemon Verbena – Region: ?????67 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Jun. 7th, 2013
I love lemon verbena...this was pleasant, but pales in comparison to the whole-leaf herb or even broken-leaf variants.
Moderately lemony, light-bodied for lemon verbena. Flavor mild, pleasing. Dusty finish.
Not as smooth as the whole-leaf herb I've brewed, but not as astringent as some finely-broken herbs that ...
Happy Herbs from Ronnefeldt

I liked the flavor of this tea, it was mild and full of spices. It was a refreshing tea with my lunch.

Style: Black Tea – Region: Indonesia50 / 100 Aroma: 5/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5

I was surprised to find that this decaffeinated black tea is actually a single-region tea, originating in Sumatra, Indonesia.
After drinking a single-estate Darjeeling first flush for breakfast, one that I gave a 100 rating, this tea tastes pretty flavorless, but in the broader picture, it's not bad. An interesting...
Mountain Herbs from Ronnefeldt
Style: Herbal Tea – Region: ?????60 / 100 Aroma: 5/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5
Jan. 16th, 2012
A pleasing, rather neutral, caffeine-free herbal tea.
Brews a light orange infusion. Above average among the totality of herbal blends and teas that I've sampled from Ronnefeldt, but I did not like it as much as their straight black teas.
Complex and balanced. Aroma grassy, minty; the minty tones are almost bet...
Camomile from Ronnefeldt
Style: Chamomile Blend – Region: ?????57 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Oct. 24th, 2011
This chamomile was actually a little bit unusual or atypical. It was full-bodied and rich, but a little bland, and had an unusually smooth flavor. There was less fruitiness, less of the hay or straw-like aroma, less of the lacy floral quality, and less of the muted bitter aftertaste that characterizes chamomile tea i...

I was a bit scared after my terrible experience with Ronnefeldt's Japanese green tea, but this one turned out to be quite a few notches up from that one (which was undrinkable).
Average for what I'd expect from a tea bag...drinkable, and perhaps somewhat pleasant, but not terribly exciting...and lagging far behind R...
Organic Caramel Peach from Ronnefeldt
Style: Flavored Black Tea – Region: Blend80 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5
Oct. 10th, 2011
This tea is really good. I was surprised. I don't usually like fruity teas, but the peach blends in with the caramel flavor very well, and the caramel gives this tea an awesome sweet flavor. I added cream and sugar.

Style: Earl Grey Tea – Region: Blend53 / 100 Aroma: 5/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5

This is definitely a novel twist on Earl Grey, using a Darjeeling as a base tea, and having more lemony overtones than the standard Bergamot quality. It's not clear whether this is actually flavored with a lemony bergamot oil or with lemon as well, but it does resemble normal Earl Grey enough that I can see this as ju...

I want to be diplomatic, but this was pretty terrible, undrinkable, and I poured it out.
Brews a golden cup. Heavily astringent, heavy flavor...like some of the worst Chinese green teas...really not recognizable as a steamed (Japanese) tea, although some toasty tones that resemble some of the lowest-quality bancha ...
Red Berries from Ronnefeldt
Style: Fruit (Herbal) Tea – Region: Blend37 / 100 Aroma: 4/10 Flavor: 2/5 Value: 2/5
Sep. 21st, 2011
My overall impression of this tea was that it was relatively unobtrusive, almost bordering on bland. It was slightly too sour for my tastes, but I find berry-flavored herbal teas usually are way too sour, so relative to other similar offerings on the market, this wasn't too bad.
There's a slight hint of an artifici...
Assam Irish Breakfast from Ronnefeldt
Style: Irish Breakfast – Region: Assam, India73 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5
Sep. 5th, 2011
This was a solid Assam or Irish Breakfast from a tea bag, with a fairly complex aroma, definitely one of the best strong black teas I've had from such a simple tea bag of broken-leaf tea.
Sharp, edgy, piercing, yet full-bodied and having depth. Aroma has tones of malt, dried fruit, rice, and red wine. Very fresh t...
English Breakfast from Ronnefeldt
Style: English Breakfast – Region: Sri Lanka / Ceylon63 / 100 Aroma: 5/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5

A friend brought this back from Europe for me. The caption on this tea cracks me up...'prickelndem' is translated as 'scintillating', and the combination of "typical" (which does not have the same connotation as the German "typischer") leads to a bit of a contradiction: "A typical Ceylon tea with a scintillating flavo...
