Classic Black (Formerly Black Tea) from Choice Organic Teas
Style: Black Tea – Region: Tamil Nadu, India65 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5

The bags are individually wrapped, but in paper envelopes. The dry tea smells nice, but like a generic grocery store Assam.
The tea picks up a little personality when the water is added, though. It's not as bitter as I expected and it's quite a bit sweeter than I expected. The tea is mild, yet flavorful. It almost t...
Choice Assam - Loose Leaf from Choice Organic Teas
Style: Assam – Region: India57 / 100 Aroma: 5/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5

The last Assam purchased was with Wagh Bakri India, and it is truly strong and refreshing. The only problem is that there is a report out by Green Peace about "Trouble Brewing" and pesticides used by growers in India. This company and a few other popular brands are listed, so we decide to try organic. Choice has some ...

The toasted rice flavor is quite strong. Some sips it didn't do much for me, other sips the smoky flavor felt like something I could get used to. I'll be more sure once I've tried a couple more of the bags.

This tea was surprisingly decent.
After being repeatedly underwhelmed with the teas I've tried from Choice Organic Teas, I wasn't expecting much, but this one turned out to be a surprise. My expectations were very low--not only because of this brand but because in general, I've had bad experiences with Japanese gre...
Oolong Tea from Choice Organic Teas
Style: Oolong Tea – Region: ?????53 / 100 Aroma: 4/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 2/5

A sealed sample pack from the Philadelphia Coffee and Tea Festival.
Tea bag is aromaless, and the brewed cup has almost no discernable aroma until I sip it, at which point the aroma is extremely mild. Much more flavorful than aromatic though. The aroma I do notice is a faint tone of rice, with perhaps some suggest...
Green Moroccan Mint Tea from Choice Organic Teas
Style: Green Tea with Mint – Region: Blend43 / 100 Aroma: 3/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 2/5

I sampled this from a friend's house, a very fresh box that we newly opened, and I disliked it, so I know the issue was the quality of the tea rather than freshness.
This is a rather innocuous, although boring tea. The flavor is pleasant but the aroma is weak and muddled. Brews a clear light yellow color.

English Breakfast from Choice Organic Teas
Style: English Breakfast – Region: Blend60 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5

While this wasn't my favorite bagged version of this tea, Choice put forth a decent English Breakfast. I think it could compete with Bigelow and Twinings as an everyday black tea. I'm giving Choice a few extra stars for being organic, which is always a big plus in my book!

I thought this was an unusually high-quality rooibos for a simple, reasonably priced tea bag.
Rich earthy aroma, with some complexity; I detect the faint hint of vanilla and fruitiness that is the hallmark of good rooibos. This is on par with much of the loose-leaf rooibos that I've tried. Full-bodied, strong, and...
Liquorice Peppermint from Choice Organic Teas
Style: Wellness Tea / Medicinal Tea – Region: Blend57 / 100 Aroma: 3/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 4/5

Aroma overwhelmingly pepperminty, but in drinking the cup, the licorice emerges. The peppermint and licorice complement each other, with the mint piercing, fresh, but fleeting, and the licorice slow to emerge, but warming and lasting.
Very sweet flavor, even without adding any sweetener.
I'm not crazy about pepp...
Darjeeling from Choice Organic Teas
Style: Darjeeling Black Tea – Region: Darjeeling, India43 / 100 Aroma: 4/10 Flavor: 2/5 Value: 3/5

Each tea bag is a 'pyrmaid infuser'. It is a good way to let the tea breathe a little bit, and spread out. The leaves have a lovely sweet floral scent. I steeped the tea for the 4 minutes recommended on the box. The tea has a faint floral fragrance, along with a hint of that Darjeeling muscatel. These aromas translate...

This tea is pleasing. It has a sweet aroma with a smooth, toasty and nutty flavor. similar to Hojicha but without any green vegetal taste. It is very soothing. It also is reminding me of something from my childhood, but I can’t put my finger on what it is. I think it’s a tea we used to have at a Chinese restaurant ...

Pretty tasty, though minus the delectably smoky flavor of the Republic of Tea's green tea w. toasted rice. Brews quickly, often on sale at my local coop.
