Japanese Sencha (Sachets) from Harney and Sons
Style: Sencha – Region: Shizuoka, Japan71 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5

I had this tea at a local restaurant (in a bag) and got 2 cups out of 1 bag - even though the restaurant offered me a second bag. It had a slight grassy note but also a pleasant roasted flavor vaguely reminiscent of a barley or genmaicha. I really enjoyed this tea - hot - no lemon - no dairy - no sweetener.

A very good value for a bagged green (organic). Branding is "snazzier" than the traditional bagged bigelow teas. We have "Steep" in out office and it is a nice upgrade from el-cheapo Lipton.

Not great - not undrinkable and still a better choice (for me, anyway) than the standar issues Lipton Black that our office provides.
No caffeine, no complexity, no color - I steeped it over 4 minutes, only a plae green and a few whiffs of grassy/vegetal notes.
I confess, I added sweetener - I just needed a hot ...

Had a teabag stashed in my work bag - and lo and behold it was Twinings Green tea - not even sure where I got it from - not from home - likely from an office or an event I had been to
So I was hankerin' for something OTHER that the Lipton "Wake dat a$$ up" black tea in the office so i brewed up the Twinings Green. ...
Organic Pure Green Tea (Premium Green Tea Organic) from Bigelow Tea
Style: Green Tea – Region: ?????71 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5

Nothing offensive about this reasonably prices and ORGANIC tea that you can pick up in a grocery store for under $5. Convenient bags. No issues.
Update 2019: Look for Steep by Bigelow Organic Pure Green tea also. Good value for a bagged green.
Japanese Green Tea from Kirkland Signature / Costco

Meh. I had this at a SPA no less - I guess they buy their green tea bags in bulk from Costco. While this was drinkable, it was by no means enjoyable. On a cold day I guess it beats a cut of hot water? But so weak and non-descript tasting.
Meh.
There are better options out there.
Sometimes, in an attempt to s...
Organic Pinhead Gunpowder Green Tea from Stash Tea
Style: Gunpowder Green Tea – Region: Jiangxi, China67 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5
Aug. 17th, 2016
I am a big fan of pinhead gunpowder (Green) tea - and it is fun to watch it steep/brew as all the little balls unfurl. This one by Stash is moderately priced. Pinhead is never (or not that I have seen) sold in bags/sachets as you need it loos to watch it work its magic.
I drink this neat - (Hot) or possibly with a...
Green Tea from Wegmans

Blah. This is another cheapie-green tea that will do in a pinch - or during times of desperation. There are way better teas on the market. Super cheap. Taste moderately vegetal and green - a good bit of astringency. Must be allowed to steep for 3-4 minutes.
Basic. Cheap. Fair.
Organic Green Tea from Trader Joe's

This is a Mediocre, easy to find (at every TJ's) green tea with a slight "green grassy" taste. Not horrible, but not delicious. There are way better teas (some cheaper, some more expensive) that simply taste fresher and better.
Seemed a little stale tasting - even though I just bought it. Well, at least I did not...
Gunpowder Green from Harney and Sons
Style: Gunpowder Green Tea – Region: Zhejiang, China57 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 2/5

This is an easy-drinking green tea with grassy notes an a faint whiff of herbs (I dunno - but I get an herbaceous quality if you let it steep long enough.) Must steep at least 3 minutes as it brews up "pale". Good hot and OK on ice. I live this one better hot. Super-mild. As with all Harney & Sons - beautifully pac...

Too expensive to buy by the bag ($2.39 plus tax in Starbucks for a Tall) but very good green tea and worth buying a box.
Green but not grassy, light and fresh tasting. Easy to drink hot.
China Gunpowder from Tea Forte
Style: Gunpowder Green Tea – Region: Zhejiang, China67 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5

I like Tea Forte - and their packaging is excellent. But it's what's inside that sachet that counts - and this Green "Gunpowder" style tea is delicious with a mild, (generic?) grassy flavor that I happen to enjoy. Is it the best green ever? Not by a long-shot - but it is solid and easy to drink (I do it unsweetened,...

So overpriced - but very good Matcha - with a bright green taste - a bit grassy but not bad. Elegantly packaged as is Teavana's Style - you pay for all that packaging.

Eh. Meh.
It's better than their black tea - but that's not saying much. I get this for free at the office - and I would pick this over Lipton Black (The tea that jolts like cawfee) any day.
Inexpensive and drinkable - but there are plenty of better green teas out there - and some are only a tad more money.
China Green Tips Filterbag from Tazo Tea

A decent bagged tea available everywhere (and I mean EVERYWHERE) that Starbucks is served - offices, Barnes & Noble, airports, even the local library - I can get a quick cup of this in a pinch. Vegetal and green - a bit "dry" tasting - so I add sweetener sometimes. (For shame, I know!) I love green teas but this is j...

For the price - you can't beat ten ren teabags for a quick earthy-green on the go. Grassy and green pepper notes (to my nose/palate) and a light to medium body after a generous 3-4 minute steep. Mild and easy to drink - and I drink this one hot (not iced) with a little sweetener like honey or stevia. (Gasp!)

I like the roasty-toasty notes of Hojicha - especially iced in summer after a meal of sushi or sashimi - it just makes me feel good. Ito-En is like the McDonald's o Tea in Japan but is less known in the USA. I used to love going to the flagship store in NYC but I think it ,may be gone now. Meanwhile - try Ito En t...

Meh. Typical green-tasting grassy green conveniently bagged, easily acquirable tea. Not a holy grail by any means - but I'll take this over a cuppa Lipton any day! And, yes, I had this in an old law firm I worked at years back. (Office tea!) And at cheap delis in Philly and NYC.

Overpriced - plus their NYC shop quickly opened and closed in a flash about 9 years ago - but this was fun to try. Grassy but not bitter. Smooth and easy to drink hot. Never tried it iced.
