This inexpensive Ceylon offers little to get excited over, for better or worse. It is a fairly standard tea, with some light, woody tannins and a dash of caramel flavor. I noticed that it tasted best at a lukewarm temperature; it is pretty bland when hot. It is good with lemon and sugar, and would probably be fine o...

This is pretty robust for a Ceylon tea, with some tannin bite and a woody aroma. It was quite a bit better with milk than with lemon and sugar, which surprised me. With just a little vegan milk added, it makes a very good breakfast style tea. My intention in buying this was to mix it with a Darjeeling for iced tea (...

I first came across Arbor Teas here on RT, decided to give them a try, and I'm glad I did. This is a bright, drinkable Ceylon. It is cut rough, and has a fresh, smooth, lightly fruity flavor. I found it enjoyable with either milk or lemon and sugar, and I am confident it would be good on ice too. The 7 oz bags are b...

This tea has a mild aroma that reminds me of an Assam. The liquor (5 min steep) produces a deep rich brown color. The flavor, matches the aroma, mild Assam like. Slight maltiness. This would a good 'sip all day' choice. Might be too mild for milk or sugar.

The aroma has a light sweetness. The taste has a slight sweet honey like flavor, that lingers on the tongue. The liquor (5 mins) is a appealing golden/honey. I would say this a solid all day tea.

Nice mild earthy aroma. The liquor brews to a light amber (5 mins). Nice mild OP taste. Easy to sip. For me, it would be too mild for sugar or cream. Classic Ceylon.

The aroma is a medium woodsy. Dark, twisted leaves. The liquor, after a five minute steep, is a very dark brown. Flavor is good, with a mild spicy after taste. This tea will be added to my regular rotation. Easy to sip all day.

This was another fantastic find at a local middle-eastern store. I am already a huge fan of Ahmad and Alghazaleen teas, and this was another tea in the same genre, yet with some interesting differences from those. Of those teas, this one tasted most similar to Ahmad's Ceylon OPA, but I liked it better.
The dry leaf ...

This is a wonderful classic cup of tea to enjoy in the mornings. It is smooth and easy to drink and it is thick bodied and flavorful without being too strong. The smell is like a normal tea. The value is what does it for me and why it is such a great tea to drink every morning, it is so cheap!

The aroma is mild with a bit of spiciness. The liquor is a very dark brown. Strong flavor, with a smoky after taste that stays on the tongue. A good 'strong' tea.

This tea is mild all around. The aroma is slightly fruit. The liquor brews to a gold/amber. Flavor is a traditional Ceylon. Would probably be eclipsed by milk or sugar.

An unspectacular but good enough Ceylon tea. The aroma has a hint of freshly baked muffins to it. A 3 minute steep (which is what the directions called for) results in a bland but perfectly drinkable beverage.

Dry, this tea smells vaguely of cocoa and molasses. It's understated, but pleasant. While brewing, the aroma is of light brown sugar, but not heavy. The cocoa from earlier is still there, but less pronounced than I expected based on the initial aroma and experience with other Sri Lankan teas. There's a faint note of ra...

You simply can't go wrong with this tea. The average tea drinker who buys bags of Lipton or Tetley would probably agree, because this is like a premium version of those products. This is smooth and pleasant, but not lacking in flavor. It contains dashes of caramel, fruit, steely tannins and a fresh, leafy aroma. It...

I was astonished by this tea's quality as well as value for its price. One of my friends recently bought this from a Russian market, and he had only recently opened the container so it was very fresh.
The dry leaf though is explosively aromatic. This is by far the most aromatic Ceylon black tea I've ever found in th...

I'm reviewing the version of their loose-leaf "Premium" that comes in a 400g resealable plastic sack, which I got new/unopened at an estate sale. The leaves are very finely chopped, small, almost granular, as if they were part of a mechanical, one-size-fits-all process for both bagged and loose-leaf offerings. The wo...

I am a little confused about the labeling of this tea. It says it is high grown but the tea I have had from Ceylon that is grown at 6000 feet is usually a lot lighter in color and not quite as bold in taste. This tea is fairly dark in color and very bold in flavor. It actually taste like a blended tea or a lower grown ...

This was an exceptional tea and without a doubt one of the best Ceylons I've sampled ever. I like Ceylons, but outside of the ones from teakruthi, it's rare I find ones that stand out. This is one of them!

I picked this up in a Middle Eastern grocery near Detroit, MI. I bought a 250g pouch of tea that turned out to be double-bagged with an outer mylar pouch and a thin plastic bag inside. The tea is quite broken and in relatively small pieces, but quite aromatic even when dry. It smells of caramel and pastry, like slightl...
