slight cinnamon spice smell, flavor carries that same spice, but underwhelmingly, A decent tea, but nothing shines....wish it was a bit more bold. x2

Received a box of 20 teabags of this herbal blend less than two months ago, and it is nearly empty. I guess that tells you I enjoyed this blend! The spices and apple flavor go well with the base of chamomile, which merge together with a nice synergy. The aroma is wonderful and not overpowering; the flavor is light and ...

So here I am, smelling recollecting. But when? Why? It's familiar, but where? Maybe before the summer gets warm and the rain just barely lingers on the growing grass. Its musky and sweet, fresh, like a Hyacinth flower in rich soil.
Its crisp, it reminds me of weddings, bouquets, lemon cake, and vanilla icing. It mel...
Holy Basil, Krishna (Tulsi) from Mountain Rose Herbs
Style: Tulsi / Holy Basil – Region: India93 / 100 Aroma: 9/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 5/5
Feb. 27th, 2014
My all-time favorite example of Tulsi or holy basil is the purple-leafed variety sold by Upton Tea Imports. Since I had been highly impressed by the the green-leafed (Rama) and Vana varieties from Mountain Rose Herbs, liking each much better than their counterparts from Upton, I was excited to try this one.
It was ...
Holy Basil, Vana (Tulsi) from Mountain Rose Herbs
Style: Vana Tulsi – Region: India83 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 5/5
Feb. 19th, 2014
Dry leaf smells complex, like dried ginger and anise, with a hint of straw or hay. Much more complex than the only other example of Vana tulsi that I've tried.
Brews up a very strong, dark cup relative to the amount of leaf used. The brewed cup has a spicy and very complex aroma, and a piquant (sharp but enjoyable...
Hawaii Cocktail from TeaFrog
Style: Herbal Tea – Region: Blend80 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 3/5
Feb. 17th, 2014
I loved this fruity tea. It needed no sweetener and had a very sweet, pleasant, substantive aroma. It's an "herbal" tea (no actual tea in it), but is nevertheless excellent.
I tried this at a friend's house and do not know what she paid for it -- hence, I gave the value an average rating, but really I don't know the...
Mint Medley® Herbal Tea from Bigelow Tea
Style: Mint Tea – Region: ?????40 / 100 Aroma: 3/10 Flavor: 2/5 Value: 3/5
Feb. 14th, 2014
The spearmint in this tea gives it a very gum-like aroma, which I found somewhat off-putting. The tea itself seems relatively mild, but it does leaves a very pronounced cool menthol feeling in the back of my throat. I expect this tea would be enjoyable if I had a cold, but under any other circumstances, I'd recommend...

The tea bag smells really wonderful, and very strongly, of ginger...much fresher smelling than most dried ginger.
Upon brewing, it's not quite as strong as I had hoped. I steeped for quite some time, about 8 minutes, in boiling water, and it produced a light liquor with only a moderate ginger bite to it--when I mak...
Sleepytime® Vanilla from Celestial Seasonings

I was first exposed to Celestial Seasonings' original Sleepytime® blend in the Herbal Tea Sampler Pack. Vanilla is one of my favorite flavors and I liked the original so I decided to try the Vanilla variation of Sleepytime®. I have had this tea for quite some time now, but only recently got around to opening the pac...

I thought this was amazing! Everyone who knows me knows that I'm primarily a tea drinker, but I do like coffee now and then, especially in winter, when I drink it with milk or cream. I mainly don't drink it because I'm sensitive to its high caffeine content, and also because it is rough on my stomach. This one solve...

A truly artisanal example of this herb. Tastes the closest to the fresh-harvested, home-grown example of this herb than any other one I have bought through a company. Astonishing complexity for Rama Tulsi.
I tried this some time ago, and I think it may not have been terribly fresh; this was a fresh batch which a f...

My go to brand for when I can't even afford milk, bread, and eggs, but still require something hot to start my mornings or end my nights with. I like the flavor, aroma, and color of this tea. (It's bright pink due to the beetroot in it.) It doesn't actually have any tea or herb leaves in it, but I still like it. Its sweetness is nice and subtle -- just enough, so that I don't feel the need to add any sweetener. The apple and beetroot give it a not-quite-fruit...

It has a coppery red liquor, light aroma, and fairly light taste. The aroma is not unlike the company’s description, like hay or wild dry grasses. The aroma of the liquor is much weaker than the actual leaves, wet or dry, however. The taste is straight and crisp with little to no aftertaste. The flavor is much like h...

This tea is quite nice and has a soothing aroma. It's hard to place whether the scent is vanilla or chamomile, but it's distinctly "one note". To be fair, I've had these tea bags for quite a long time, so perhaps it has gone stale or lost some of its oomf.
I tried the second steep with some sugar added, which gave i...

I'm still making up my mind about this tea. I think I may have over-brewed it slightly. Also, I added a little sugar, but think it may benefit from a little more. Also, I think it might be better cold, but this time I tried it hot.
Regardless, the apple smell isn't quite as strong as I was expecting/hoping, but it's...

Thanks to Jenna for providing me with this sample!
The tea bag is wonderfully aromatic, smelling strongly of rose, almost intoxicating (even before brewing) and suggestive of sweetness.
Although this blend contains Stevia, thankfully it's only a dash...I only notice minimal sweetness. I notice there are a lot of...

This subtly sweet, smooth, tea makes me feel beautiful after a week of drinking a couple cups a day. My skin mellows out, redness banishes, and my skin begins to feel firmer.

I tried this one evening since it is a caffeine-free Numi option. It is not a true tea, but a tisane of a shrub variety related to rooibos. Now I really love rooibos, but this, to me, was even better, and I am definitely going to buy more, I liked it that much!
Here is a robust, comforting, and revitalizing liquor ...
Lemon Verbena Cut & Sifted from Frontier
Style: Lemon Verbena – Region: Paraguay67 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 2/5 Value: 4/5
Jan. 12th, 2014
I like lemon verbena very much, and I find it a pleasant change of pace from other lemon-scented herbal teas. This batch was unusually bold in flavor, but its aroma was similar to other lemon verbena: lemony without being overwhelmingly so.
Aroma suggests lemon, gingerbread, and is also mildly vegetal and herbaceou...

I braced myself for the "Bracer" and made sure not to steep it too long. About a minute in my cup and I got a nice fruity drink that wasn't too overwhelming for my taste buds. It also had a nice purple color. I probably wouldn't buy it on my own, my tastes go for more vegetable-y teas... but nice all the same.
