Fusion Green & White Tea from Stash Tea
Style: Green and White Blend – Region: ?????80 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5
Jul. 21st, 2024
I enjoyed this tea! I brewed it at 175°F and let it steep several minutes with the mug covered. It did not, thankfully, turn bitter. The second cup’s flavor wasn’t as strong but still had a flavor I could taste. Loose leaf tea is still better, but for a quick bag of tea this is nice.

I actually like this one. It isn't as good as loose-leaf tea would be, but for a tea bag it's nice. I brewed the water to 205°F and let the bag steep under one of those Primula hats for several minutes. Both black tea and peach were present in the strong flavor, but it didn't go bitter. Usually, black tea of fannings ...

I really like this tea. The cherry flavor and black tea flavor blend together well (although the ingredients list oddly doesn’t include cherry). I brewed it at 205° and it steeped well without creating bitterness. I used the packet of “single steep” tea twice. The second steep wasn’t quite as strong and partic...

The aroma is nice and spicy. I like the flavor as well. It was definitely present but not as intense as "ultra" might imply. I didn't sweeten it, but I think it could do well both sweetened or unsweetened depending on one's mood. Overall, this is a solid bagged tea!

I enjoy this tea. It has a nice level of spiciness to it. I am not big on anise, but I think it works here. Ginger is definitely the most dominant spice, but it isn't overwhelming.

I'm not a fan of licorice in general, but this wasn't actually bad. If I had to drink a licorice-based tea, this wouldn't a bad choice -- especially considering how inexpensive it is.

Not bad, considering this is a teabag. It tastes like a basic but not bitter black tea, and I do notice some raisin-like notes as well. It’d be a good at-work tea.

This “tea” is sweet and aromatic. I enjoyed it, even just using hot water dispensed from a Keurig. The second stepping was weaker than the first, though some flavor was still present.

This tea is pleasant, especially with a little milk added. (Note: I recommend warming the milk in the microwave briefly and pouring the hot water into it when making tea.) There’s a distinct but not entirely unpleasant sharpness to this tea that is improved with the milk, though it can still be enjoyed plain. The spi...

This combination of matcha and green tea was fairly non-descript. It wasn’t offensive, but it didn’t do much for me. Overbrewing does turn it a bit bitter, so be sure not to leave the bag in excessively. I still have more of the box, so I may update this entry if my opinion changes after a few tries.

This is the second tea I’ve tried that mixes a green tea with matcha powder in a teabag. It wasn’t bad! I enjoyed my second test more than my first. Like the Celestial Seasonings offering that mixes green tea with matcha powder, this tea is better than the average bagged cheap green tea I’ve tried, as it increase...

I’ve decided to try a few blends of matcha with other green tea and started with this brand. Given that I’ve never been overwhelmingly impressed with Celestial Seasonings, it was better than expected!
Though it cannot take the place of an actual matcha craving, the addition of matcha added a bit of sweetness and...

I really like this tea! It’s a delightful sort of spicy with hints of sweetness, even without sweetener. I don’t always enjoy orange flavor in tea, but in this case it blends nicely with the spices, the main one of which is cinnamon with a bit of cardamom. Overall, I agree that it is reminiscent of red hots. It als...

I really enjoyed this tea! The aroma of maple is strong both in the dry leaf and the brewed cup. One should definitely try this tea without a sweetener first, as I think it's already almost dessert-like in its sweetness. But that sweet maple flavor doesn't taste cloying or excessive. It's a great tea for when you might...

I really enjoy the coconut and spices in this tea. The flavors are strong yet blend well, and the tea doesn't go bitter with brewing. The aroma of the dry tea is especially strong. The tea resteeps well, though the flavors are mellowed by repeated brewing. This tastes good both with and without honey added.

Sticking my nose into the bag, I found the aroma of the dry tea pleasant and strong. The main notes were of cinnamon, hazelnut, and chocolate. After brewing (at 200 F for 4 minutes) , those scents were more muted and subtle notes of graham cracker and campfire picked up.
The taste and aroma strike me as well blended...

This tea is really quite impressive. Whether dry or brewed, its aroma and its flavor both remind me of smokiness from some sort of aromatic wood used for barbecuing -- though it is not "barbecue" flavored. Perhaps it reminds me of camping mixed with a cigarette smoke that somehow isn't gross?
The smokiness is very p...

I really love a good fruity hibiscus tea. This one does not disappoint. If doing many infusions of small cups in the Chinese style, it makes many good cups. It also makes an excellent cup of normal size. However, after that, the second cup is very weak. This is the only element bringing down the score for me. Overall, ...

This is a delightfully spicy herbal tea. It sort of wakes you up even without the caffeine. Though a CTC style loose leaf, it resteeps quite well -- but expect to infuse longer for the second cup. It's been a lot time, but I remember thinking this was inexpensive when I got it.

It's not bad, but it isn't the tastiest blend I've ever had. The rooibos, the spice, and the vanilla are all there, but I think the black tea chais tend to be preferable. The sweet and spice are indeed nice, so it's certainly worth a shot. It also holds up decently well to repeated steepings.

This is a lovely tea. The pomegranate flavor is delicate and blends well with the white tea. It holds up well to multiple steepings, each time making a cup of golden-colored tea. Though I generally prefer fruit teas where the fruit element is more robust, this is a very smooth, soothing drink. So far, this is the most ...

This is a very nice pure tea. The osmanthus flowers are a nice complement, but it's the oolong tea that shines. Heads up: the tea expands a *lot* in water, so use a smaller scoop than normal --- maybe a half size? Also, it resteeps very well.

Black Ginger Tea from Music City Tea
Style: Flavored Black Tea – Region: ?????73 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 5/5

This is a solid black tea. People who enjoy lightly flavored, high quality black teas should like this one. The ginger is quite subtle -- the tea aroma and flavor dominate -- but the ginger came through more for the second cup. The tea makes multiple infusions quite nicely.
