Moroccan Mint Tea from Stash Tea
Style: Green Tea with Mint – Region: ?????55 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5

The aroma is about what I expected; smells pretty much just like the spearmint from our garden. Flavor wise, this isn't a robust tea. It's reminiscent of spearmint candy, but it's subtle. I'd say this definitely falls into the aromatic category more than anything else, but it's not bad!

A mellow mint aroma, and a flavor that matches it fairly well. It's not a strong mint flavor, but it's definitely present. It reminds me of a pure green tea with a few spearmint leaves added to it. While the name is indicative of the holidays, the tea isn't... it's more a springtime feel in my opinion. Not a bad option...

If you like both mango and green tea, you can't go wrong here. From my time in South Florida, eating mangoes fresh off co-workers' trees, it has been one of my favorite fruits and flavors. Murchies consistently cranks out delicious tea varieties; the other flavored green of theirs I've tried, blueberry, is a househol...

Wow, am I ever ignorant. After rating a hundred-some-odd teas, I only just discovered by accidental click that I can rate teas on RateTea that have retired! Except...it ain't really retired anymore. This one and at least few others from Teavana have come back like that mythical phoenix. A set of 15-sachet plastic j...

Chinese sencha tea made with ginseng, ginger, and pineapple. The description makes it seem exotic and potent, but it is fairly mild and not really very exciting.

I should really stop posting first impressions. I often end up rewriting the whole review. This tea took some time to get used to. I disliked the toasted rice at first and wished it was just bancha and matcha, but then I realized that it's the combination of everything that makes this tea work: the bancha provides a ni...

Straight up, this is a blatant, unapologetic and remarkably close approximation of Celestial Seasonings' Candy Cane Lane (one of my very favorite teas), right down to the decaf green tea, the rest of the ingredients list, and the square stringless flat bags housed in a gummed wax-paper pouch, within a similarly sized b...

It is sencha with toasted brown rice - I wonder who thought that up? This provides a little heft and cracker-like flavor to this green tea. I'm rating it in 2018, but I liked it a little more in some prior years.

The picture is a little deceptive - it appears to be packed with dried blueberries, but so far I haven't seen any. It is a bland green tea with blueberry flavoring, which makes it taste like chewing gum. This would probably be OK in the summer, maybe on ice.

This is one of their cheaper teas, but for me it hits the spot. There is a good amount of spearmint and it blends well with the tea that is used. Make sure to add sugar and not oversteep, and you will have a delicious cup. It is a fine choice when a low caffeine tea is called for.

Teas with ridiculously long names seem attracted to me. Whether that's an attraction of the pleasant and fortuitous variety, or more akin to flies swirling around steaming dung heaps, is another story. This blend is one of the few loose-leaf offerings I've seen at TJ's, and contains several dried ingredients that var...

Mistakenly and distracted by engaging conversation, I grabbed a couple of bags at a conference, thinking this was straight green Bigelow tea as typically served, without looking carefully at the little red strip declaring, "with pomegranate". I still didn't notice upon ripping open the wrapper, dropping bag into cup a...

Didn't particularly smell nice at all. It smelled of a salty seaweed with a nuttiness to it. The flavor was much better though and mostly got rid of the seaweed saltiness. Overall, what you'd expect from a genmaicha tea. Price isn't as much of a steal as I thought, because if you use the recommended amount(10g), it cos...

Setting aside the blatant commercial appeal to hipster New Age hocus-pocus in the labeling's verbiage and art, the composition of this tea showed promise on the shelf. I like coconut a lot, and have come to tolerate matcha-infused green tea, so this looked like it was worth a try when I saw it discounted at Sprouts. ...

A good example of this style of tea. Dry leaf’s aroma is a little weaker than the brewed tea, but it has good, toasty flavor and a round, smooth mouthfeel. Does tend to become a little astringent if brewed for too long — I set my timer for 2:45 so I can be sure I get my infuser out before three minutes.

Investigating the dry bag (looks and aroma), then the wet bag in-cup, I expected the ginger to have a lot more kick. Not that I thought it would treat the epiglottis as a punching bag, like Vernors soda, or the strong "Ginger Beer" I often drank in college...but this presentation did set expectations that reality coul...

Reading the online description, I had a hearty belt-buckle chuckle realizing that the title contains "Moroccan"...in a blend from South India (green tea), U.S. Pacific Northwest (spearmint), and region not given, but not likely Morocco (lemongrass). The product itself was comped to me by the store manager after he ov...

I don't have a lot of experience with jasmine green tea.
First time drinking this was at a local Thai restaurant. It went very well with our Thai dinner. It was different enough to make me sit up and take notice. So when I ran into it at a local Asian market, I decided to give it a try as office coffee.

This tea has little bits of blue cornflower and bits of some citrus rind, so it looks nice. The tea leaves are not cut up, but whole. It smells strongly of bergamot. The flavour is strong on bergamot, not very strong of citrus, which I like. I'm not a fan of citrusy earl grey, but this one has only a hint of citrus ar...

I haven't had a bad offering from Murchie's yet, and this one isn't either. Of the herbs used to flavor the Chinese green tea (lemongrass, ginger, peppermint, fennel, and lemon peel), I can taste the fennel and lemongrass best, and the peppermint least. Since peppermint tends to be a potent, dominating kind of herb, ...

As always, the value for these teas is wonderful. This was my first time trying genmaicha, and I really did not care for it.

What can I say? I am not usually a fan of green tea, because I don't like its "bitter" taste. But this one converted me. The trick is that is is flavoured with bergamot oil (usually found in Earl Grey Teas) and dried pieces of Seville oranges. The result is a truly amazing flavour that smooths (without masking) the tra...

Toasted rice is a substance I enjoy in some contexts (in a breakfast-cereal blend, a topping on ice cream, or embedded in fudge and soft-chocolate candy), but I had no idea what to make of the combination of it with tea. Now I do...not a big fan.

Bigelow's peach-flavored green tea pleasantly surprised me. I had rated their "Perfect Peach" herbal blend slightly lower, primarily because of the artificial flavoring that partly tastes that way.
The quality of the green tea seems good, and brews up a rich, deep amber in-cup. Some finely powdered sediment even fe...

Mellow and smooth, but too weak for my taste, this tea will appeal much more to those who enjoy straight, unadulterated spearmint as a tea flavoring. If not for the caffeine, this would make a relaxing bedtime blend. Spearmint is the overwhelmingly dominant flavor and smell, with hardly a hint of the green tea whose ...
