The Big Sleep from SerendipiTea
Style: Herbal Tea – Region: Blend83 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 4/5
Jul. 25th, 2014
The aroma of the dry leaves is pretty interesting, a blend of herbaceous and spice notes with a touch of sweet vanilla, nutty coconut, woody honeybush, and a hint of fruity tartness at the finish. It is quite unlike any blend I have sniffed before, I especially like how well the anise and coconut compliment each other...

The aroma is a great blend of tropical fruit and apricot, citrus, a touch of floral, and a tiny hint of woodiness and bamboo. It certainly lives up to its name as of sniffing the dry leaves, which is always a good sign.
Tasting time! The first sip starts off a little dry and mild then all of a sudden a tropical frui...

Served at my friend Fairleigh's house--thank you! This was surprisingly good, for a dollar store brand of tea bags. (You can buy this brand in dollar stores, typically for $1 a box.)
Brews up a relatively clear cup. Aroma was fruity and fresh, cup was quite flavorful, and lacked the bitter aftertaste that most ch...
Tropical Sunshine Herbal from Simple Loose Leaf

Jul. 15th, 2014
It blends the aroma of tropical fruit, citrus, spices, tart, and woodiness in a really interesting blend. The strongest notes were wood, citrus, and pepper, usually I would not think to put them together but the aroma really works.
And now for the real test, how does this unusual blend of ingredients taste? Interest...
Camomile, Honey & Vanilla from Twinings
Style: Herbal Tea – Region: Blend47 / 100 Aroma: 4/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Jul. 12th, 2014
I sampled this recently at the house of two of my friends; thank you to my friends Melanie and Irene for letting me try this one.
Aroma is mostly of camomile and vanilla, balanced between the two, with neither dominating. The honey is evident in the aroma, but is relatively subtle. Flavor is mild, muted. Low astr...
Tropical Hibiscus Herbal Tea from Simply Balanced
Style: Hibiscus Tea – Region: ?????83 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 5/5
Jul. 12th, 2014
I tried this tea hoping it'd be a less expensive version of the full leaf Passion flavor by Tazo. It isn't as sophisticated or as sweet as that tea, but it's quite good--especially when you're in the mood for something tart!
A deep reddish purple quickly diffuses once the water is poured. The smell is quite nice and...
Honeybush Orange from Adagio Teas
Style: Flavored Honeybush – Region: ?????67 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5
Jul. 11th, 2014
Sweet, with an almost creamy orange flavor that tastes balanced, not fake. I enjoyed it except that it tasted watery compared to other adagio teas I've tried--though this might have been because it was a different barista at the tea shop this time. Maybe it was made weaker. Still, the flavor it did have was lovely, and...

The aroma of this cake is intensely sweet! There are strong notes of cake batter, vanilla, and a hint of cocoa. Under this explosion of cake and sweetness is a really strong note of woodiness from the Rooibos and Honeybush, it is almost like sitting at a table and having a slice of cake with ice cream and sitting next ...

Appearance: Brews a robust, reddish copper. Aroma: Cinnamon, orange, sugar, pepper, wood. Flavor: Immediate sweet arrival, with a tingly burn on the tongue; hints of liquorice with a thick and viscous mouthfeel. The peppery burn continues across mid-palate as the sweetness abates (a little) and it clears to a woody, ...

Not as good as the pineapple one (my 9 year old's fave) or the blackberry one - but if you like peach (I sometimes don't if it tastes synthetic) this is a good, fruity choice. Excellent iced with or without sweetener. This is a tisane (herbal blend) there is NO tea in it.
Update: Now that Starbucks owns Teavana -...
Bergamot Sage from Rishi Tea

I loved the smell of this tea. The combo of sage and bergamot was exquisite, crisp, and just what I needed in the moment during a lazy day off. I definitely agree that there was a fresh wintergreen smell which gave this tea a spark.
This tea was a welcome break from my usual routine of vegetal teas, I'd drink ...

Still trying to give chamomile a chance, but it's not really working out. This doesn't have a bad taste and seems like a quality product, and the additional flavors (most notably, mint) aren't bad choices, but as a whole they don't fall together for me. I won't be getting this one again.

I love this tea. I can't help it.
The flavor is not amazing. If you've ever smelled pea flowers, then you'll be able to picture the flavor. They taste just like they smell.
But the tea is purple! It's not lavender, or a deep plum that's almost not purple at all, but electric purple! It's gorgeous and I'l...

If it weren't for the honey I used to sweeten this tea, it would taste like hot leaves. Literally all you are buying is mildly-honey-flavored leaves.

Aroma: Dry and Steeping aromas smell sweet and candy-like. These are a type of date, and that's just what they smell like.

Method: 1 tea bag in 8 oz at 205 degrees for 3 min.
Impressions: The color was lovely and the aroma was nice, but the tartness of the hibiscus was overpowering. After adding about a tsp. of rock sugar, this was much better. Even with the sugar to soften things, I didn't taste anything past the hibiscus.
