Sweet Dreams Herbal Tea from Bigelow Tea
Style: Chamomile Blend – Region: ?????50 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 2/5 Value: 3/5
Aug. 14th, 2014
The mint isn't bad and dominates the smell, but in the drink I can taste too much of the chamomile. Very meh. If you like chamomile this one likely won't be bad, but it just isn't right for my palate.

Fellini's Folly from SerendipiTea
Style: Herbal Tea – Region: Blend77 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5

The aroma is quite strong, a potent chill of mint, sweet woodiness, a touch of licorice, a touch of anise, and a finish of raisins. It manages to be cooling and warming at the same time, an interesting contradiction.
Tasting this tea is quite interesting! It starts off with a cooling sensation from the mint that coo...

I Love Lemon® & C Herbal Tea from Bigelow Tea
Style: Fruit (Herbal) Tea – Region: ?????70 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 3/5

Easily my favorite tea (well, tisane) by Bigelow so far! I'm a fan of lemon, hibiscus, and rosehips, so I was looking forward to trying this one and was not disappointed--at least, for the first cup. The second cup was WAY weaker, even after a long steeping.
The first cup was a very balanced and perky fusion of the ...

Honeybush Herbal from Simple Loose Leaf

The aroma of the dry leaves is woody, sweet, and a little bit sour. It reminds me a bit of sour cherries and melons with a touch of dried bamboo wood and hay
The taste is woody and caramel sweet at first, this fades to a nice dried fruit sourness, again the idea of sour cherries pops to my mind. Honeybush is very mu...

Peppermint Herbal Tea from Bigelow Tea
Style: Peppermint Tea – Region: ?????73 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5

This is my first minty tea. I generally prefer peppermint over spearmint, so I was curious about this one. Definitely a clean, fresh taste. Delightful! I'm not always craving peppermint, but when I am this simple cup would satisfy that craving quite nicely without involving actual sugar (which I like to avoid, particul...

he aroma is very sweet and super fruity, I love all the different fruits and can certainly detect the strawberries, cherries and apples. There is a tartness from the fruit (and hibiscus flowers) as well but it is not as strong as the sweet. The aroma vaguely reminds me of a fruity trail mix and is making me kinda hungr...

Citrus Sunburst from Tiesta Tea
Style: Fruit (Herbal) Tea – Region: Blend67 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5

This tea is full of dried fruit chunks, and the smell of the dry tea is very bright and intensely fruity. Once steeped, the tea is a gorgeous red colour (I presume from the hibiscus), and the smell is citrusy. With tasting, the hibiscus flavour really comes out, balanced with the citrus/fruit flavours. The whole thing ...

Three Ginger from Pukka

When I first smelled the tea bag I got a whiff of spicy dust that inclined me to think this would be a pretty pungent cup. In truth, it was one of the more muted ginger teas I've had. I felt that the mixture of different roots was a good choice, but would have preferred a tea with a "brighter" or more intense flavor. T...

The aroma of the dry leaves is pretty interesting, a blend of herbaceous and spice notes with a touch of sweet vanilla, nutty coconut, woody honeybush, and a hint of fruity tartness at the finish. It is quite unlike any blend I have sniffed before, I especially like how well the anise and coconut compliment each other...

The aroma is a great blend of tropical fruit and apricot, citrus, a touch of floral, and a tiny hint of woodiness and bamboo. It certainly lives up to its name as of sniffing the dry leaves, which is always a good sign.
Tasting time! The first sip starts off a little dry and mild then all of a sudden a tropical frui...

Served at my friend Fairleigh's house--thank you! This was surprisingly good, for a dollar store brand of tea bags. (You can buy this brand in dollar stores, typically for $1 a box.)

It blends the aroma of tropical fruit, citrus, spices, tart, and woodiness in a really interesting blend. The strongest notes were wood, citrus, and pepper, usually I would not think to put them together but the aroma really works.
And now for the real test, how does this unusual blend of ingredients taste? Interest...

I sampled this recently at the house of two of my friends; thank you to my friends Melanie and Irene for letting me try this one.
Aroma is mostly of camomile and vanilla, balanced between the two, with neither dominating. The honey is evident in the aroma, but is relatively subtle. Flavor is mild, muted. Low astr...

Tropical Hibiscus Herbal Tea from Simply Balanced

I tried this tea hoping it'd be a less expensive version of the full leaf Passion flavor by Tazo. It isn't as sophisticated or as sweet as that tea, but it's quite good--especially when you're in the mood for something tart!
A deep reddish purple quickly diffuses once the water is poured. The smell is quite nice and...

Honeybush Orange from Adagio Teas
Style: Flavored Honeybush – Region: ?????67 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5

Sweet, with an almost creamy orange flavor that tastes balanced, not fake. I enjoyed it except that it tasted watery compared to other adagio teas I've tried--though this might have been because it was a different barista at the tea shop this time. Maybe it was made weaker. Still, the flavor it did have was lovely, and...

The aroma of this cake is intensely sweet! There are strong notes of cake batter, vanilla, and a hint of cocoa. Appearance: Brews a robust, reddish copper. Aroma: Cinnamon, orange, sugar, pepper, wood. Not as good as the pineapple one (my 9 year old's fave) or the blackberry one - but if you like peach (I sometimes don't if it tastes synthetic) this is a good, fruity choice. Excellent iced with or without sweetener. This is a tisane (herbal blend) there is NO tea in it.
Update: Now that Starbucks owns Teavana -...

I loved the smell of this tea. The combo of sage and bergamot was exquisite, crisp, and just what I needed in the moment during a lazy day off. I definitely agree that there was a fresh wintergreen smell which gave this tea a spark.
