I also found, like Synth, that this tea has a cooling quality. The aroma is malty up front, but it has a strong wintergreen quality to the aroma. Aroma is complex and hard to describe.
Very enjoyable and also rather interesting and different. I'm not sure I'd describe this as one of my favorite black teas, howeve...

I highly prefer this tea over the cheaper black teas available. The long leaf tea used here really shines through and provides a smoothly balanced flavor complex. Slight floral notes add to the overall experience, providing a lovely cup of tea.
Longer brewing may yield a more bitter end to the cup, but even so, it...

I sampled this tea at World Tea East and liked it a lot, wrote the review, but waited to post it until the tea was actually released.
I have actually now sampled a handful of black tea from Tanzania, including the mainstream brand Chai Bora, and single estate teas, both orthodox and CTC.
This tea had a malty arom...

I find this tea to have a more "sophisticated" flavor than other types of black teas. It's more complex and diverse in flavors as you sip. Aside from the caffeine doing its job, the flavors alone wake me up when I drink it.
Brewing too long (which I tend to do) makes it quite bitter. The tea bag says brew for fou...
Lapsang Souchong from Twinings

My rating is low because I tend not to like this style of tea. I actually think this tea was very good, more enjoyable than some loose-leaf Lapsang souchong that I've tried.
This is a classic Lapsang Souchong from a tea bag. It has a strong smoky aroma, and smooth, mellow flavor. Unlike some of the other reviewer...

A lovely mellow black tea. Has great taste and leaves you wanting more to experience exactly the full taste of this delightful tea. A nice treat indeed

Just a fantatic black tea. It just is so delightful. I steep it for just over 3 minutes, and it's notes are clean and fresh. I really like this black orange pekoe and very surprised of the delicate taste in brought.

A very light tea...aroma suggestive of rice and cereal. Muted flavor. A hint of wintergreen in the finish. Not terribly complex, however. I'm starting to get a sense for a particular character that Turkish teas have, and this was recognizable as such.
The leaf of this tea is so finely broken that it falls throug...

Taking garbage out of a plastic can and putting it into a golden can doesn't increase the value of the garbage. Lipton's attempt at polishing trash isn't fooling anyone.

I'd rather drink Oprah's bathwater filtered through a dirty gym sock than Lipton black tea. In the Navy, this is all we had. But during port visits, I visited every shop I could in order to find some drinkable black. Sometimes I won, sometimes I lost. Sometimes I drank coffee instead.

Bought a box of this from Smart & Final about three years ago. At that point, ANYTHING was better than Lipton so even Bromley looked exotic to me. Not all bad, but very generic. Took two bags to get a good 8-ounce cuppa. Kind of a rustic, tannic mid-palette that is strange but appealing.

This tea was surprisingly interesting and complex for a tea bag. I brewed it for about 5 minutes, using only about 6 ounces of water, and it was just about the right strength. It produced a very dark cup, but a relatively clear quality.
Aroma is fresh, crisp, and almost peppery, but more like black pepper than oth...
Lapsang Souchong from Twinings

This tea is pretty good. It has a nice smoky aroma, but it's too weak, and on the verge of being too bitter, like other Twinings black teas I've tasted. I really like the smoky flavor, though. I added cream and sugar.

This is my bedtime tea. Every single night without fail. It's become such a routine for me that trying any other tea would likely interrupt my sleep patterns! The decaff version of the British Blend is less bitter than its big brother, allowing me to infuse it with a dash of honey to taste.

When it comes to basic black tea, Tetley British Blend is the base of most of my blending. It's also the one tea that I drink every single night before bedtime (decaff without milk). Lovely aroma, moderately bitter. I spice it with a touch of honey sometimes. Great value as well.

Dry leaf is obvious CTC, finely broken. Upon brewing, however, I am more impressed with this tea. Brews an opaque light brown color, light in color for a black tea of this strength and body.
I recommend a 1 minute infusion, as this tea infuses very quickly.
Very full-bodied tea, rich and heavy. Aroma is comple...
Breakfast Blend Organic Black Tea from Samovar Tea Lounge

Nice smooth, full bodied, malty, and a light briskness. Reminds me very much of Rishi Tea's Golden Yunnan Organic Black Tea, but a bit lighter on peppery tones. It is a beautiful blend of Dian Hong style tea (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dian_hong_tea) mixing whole leaf top-quality tea and a high content of fine go...

I have enjoyed the loose leaf version of this tea for some time, and the tea bag version holds up well at transmitting the flavor, aroma and quality in a convenient form. I miss seeing the teas unfurl, and the color brew up but it is still very satisfying. I wish this tea was more widely available in the US. It is read...

This is a regular favorite for me. I'm most likely to drink it in a cold morning, but I enjoy it at all times of year.

Jingmai Mountain produces some amazing teas, and this one from Samovar is no exception. They are right on the money when they describe the taste and aroma as: "Deep and malty with hints of baked, bittersweet chocolate and raisin sugar. Lightly roasted body with a slightly sweet finish."
Optimal brewing is with sprin...

This tea has a nice, dark color and a crisp, smoky aroma. The flavor is not bitter, not too dry and not very smoky at all, as I thought it would be from the aroma and my experience with other Keemun teas. It is even less smoky than its nearly as delicious sibling, Hao Ya “B”. It has a very clean, crisp, fresh tast...
