I have been seeing this tea around for years, its mustard-colored tins are commonly available in Chinese food shops. My most recent container of it seemed fairly dry and grassy, with less jasmine flavor than it had in the past. Or perhaps my tastebuds may have changed a bit over time. As a budget priced jasmine tea, it...

A very fragrant tea and consists of tea leaves and a fair amount of buds. The jasmine aroma balances well with the green tea base. The tea soup has a nice creamy texture. The value is decent, there are cheaper jasmine teas out there, but not at such quality.

This tea has a beautiful jasmine smell and taste. You have to really love jasmine to like this tea; as the other reviewer mentioned, the jasmine aroma and taste is very overpowering, even with minimal steep time. I really enjoy this tea. It reminds me a great deal of Republic of Tea’s Twilight Rose, which is a chamom...

One of my kids gave me this for Christmas, having bought it at an Asian food store for an unknown price, so I'm basing the value rating off the mostly reasonable online costs for a 120g tin. The packaging of this tea confused me a bit at first, as it was branded just like one of the same title on RateTea, but in a tin...

I'm not entirely sure how to understand Chinese branding, but "Fujian Tea Import & Export Co., Ltd.," itself a subsidiary of "China Tea Co., Ltd." seems to be a state-run company that handles international trade for a number of smaller Chinese tea companies in the Fujian province. This jasmine tea is further branded wi...

I ordered this tea loose and brewed it exactly to Harney & Sons directions (1 tsp per cup at 175F for 3 minutes). The aroma is sublime. The color is very light golden straw. The flavor is soft, fragrant, not bitter at all. Compared to Harney and Son's "Jasmine" and "Organic Jasmine" the Dragon Pearl Jasmine is more sub...

I'm not sure what I was expecting from this tea, but it isn't what I expected. I did expect a floral aroma, and I got one. It smells like jasmine, but not JUST jasmine. It almost seems like a jasmine/dandelion blend to me. Similarly, the flavor isn't a true jasmine, and certainly isn't what I expect from a green tea. I...

An amazing tea, somewhat soapy(probably due to steeping error), but the taste is excellent, and it smells amazing, but that is typical of a jasmine tea. This tea is very expensive, and I didn't see much improvement over other jasmine pearls.

Firstly, this tea reminds me of the garden section of the home depot. Almost a clone of the smell(or I'm smell hallucinating). The aroma is extremely nice and is of course very jasmine. The flavor is amazing and has an undertone of a golden osmanthus oolong taste. Other than that, the jasmine taste is very smooth and s...

This tea is interesting - the little pearls unfurl as it steeps, and it releases the most wonderful jasmine aroma. I discovered it in a fine Asian diner when a pot of it was placed on the table. It's wonderful flower scent drew me in, and I had two cups of it. Ever since, this has been a staple in my tea cabinet for gu...

I love to brew up pearled teas - and jasmine pearls ROCK for me - so I liked this one. Fun to watch the pearls unfurl when you brew them. Delicious jasmine/green/floral notes. Fun to drink and requires no sweetener.

This is my favorite jasmine pearls tea that I've ever sampled.
I tried this tea months ago and began writing a review but I realized that I never finished and posted it! Apologies to TeaVivre for the oversight. I had one packet left, so I brewed it up and the tea was as I had remembered it. I was surprised at how...

A decent Jasmine tea, which I think is on the expensive side.
Dry leaf has a very intense aroma, with a strongly floral jasmine scent, and also strongly fruity, with a minty note.
The Meaning of Tea recommended a heaping teaspoon, but I sensed that this tea would be strong for my tastes, so I went easy, using a t...

Now sold as "Jasmine Phoenix Pearls," this tea is light and floral. The pearls were nicely wound and were generally free of flaws. The aroma of the leaves is strong with the scent of jasmine. The liquor is light and is, again, strongly scented with jasmine. The taste is a light green tea with a strong jasmine taste - a...

A classic jasmine of good quality, very balanced.
The dry leaf is very aromatic, with a strong floral fragrance that is not too perfumey. The leaf is also quite beautiful, with lots of silvery, downy tips and a few whole jasmine flowers thrown in.
Upon brewing, takes on a much rounder, warmer aroma, a lot like b...

Oh, yum. This is a lovely jasmine green tea – smooth, silky and fragrant. Not a hint of bitterness from the green tea base, and none of the soapy aftertaste I got from the last jasmine pearls I tried. And I love tea that comes in pearls! These didn’t all fully unfurl in the first infusion, so I’ll definitely be r...

Though I'm not generally big on Jasmine green teas, this one was obviously high quality. The floral aspects were heady, but pretty well balanced. I brewed the tea a little too long for the first cup, resulting in it having a slight bitterness characteristic of some Jasmine green teas. My second cup successfully avoided...

Hands down, this is my favorite ever so far Jasmine tea in a sachet! I have been drinking it on special treat for the past several months. I absolutely love the Jasmine smell and the tea tastes exquisite! Each time, I've gotten two full-bodied brews out of my sachet. I plan on trying for a third. No bitterness whats...

Excellent jasmine pearl! Very smooth. I tend to get tired of jasmine teas where the jasmine dominates too much, so I was happy that this one was well balanced. The tea I had was in a sachet rather than loose, but the sachet was very airy and was very full of tea. When I've had loose pearls like this before, I've used o...

Jasmine green teas are quite good when the jasmine flavor is well balanced and blended, not dominating. That is very true of this tea. I received a gift of a small container of the pearls from a co-worker and now enjoy it at work whenever I need a solid traditional-feeling tea. I put in five of the pearls and some hot...

A very bold-tasting Jasmine tea. Tried at my friend Fairleigh's house; thank you for serving this!
Dry leaf is very aromatic, with a strong and pleasing jasmine smell, but also the base tea is evident.
Upon brewing, produces a golden-colored cup with a rich, powerful flavor. A good balance of jasmine flavoring ...

If you can find this (loose only - pearled by hand - and gorgeous to watch steep) try it! I used to get this from the NYC Ito En flagship store years back. I miss it. Subtle floral jamine notes and a pale yello/green steep after several minutes (be patient). Great hot and OK iced. (I prefer this one hot with a lit...

Delicious but expensive. Smells so great in the tin. Floral notes (Duh - it's a jasmine!) and a a pale-greenish brew brew upon a short steep. Do not over-steep this one.
I enjoy watching the little balls unfurl as the water hits them. I have never tried this on ice - but I imagine it'd be good. Oh, I love Jasmin...

I love Jasmine-style teas and Ito En's is no exception. Brewed loose-leaf in a diffuser or tea ball is best served hot - not sweetener or lemon required. Grassy, floral and light bodies. Easy to drink. Harder to find outside of NYC and LA.(and of course, Japan).
