I really like this tea. It's a bit bitter, but I brewed it really strong and it has a deep, rich, crisp flavor, and I think the bitterness actually adds a good quality to it. I added cream and sugar.

This tea is interesting. The first thing I notice is that it smells like beets - not a flavor that I like to associate with tea, at least not in this context. The flavor is good, though. At first it seemed weird, but after a few sips it started to taste really good. I added cream and sugar.

This tea is too bitter and not strong enough for my taste. It even has a bitter aroma that I don't like. I added cream and sugar.

Dry leaf, consisting almost exclusively of unbroken golden tips, is extremely aromatic and fresh, with the characteristic quality that all black teas from Yunnan province seem to have, but fruitier than normal.
Upon brewing, the leaf turns darker in color and produces a rich brown cup.
Like other Yunnan Dian Hong...

I like this tea. It has a nice strong flavor, and it's not too bitter, but it gets more bitter at the bottom of the cup. I added cream and sugar.

I was very interested to try the teas from this newly-launched effort of Two Leaves tea. This was an above-average quality British-style tea bag with finely-broken black tea, from the same company that I'm used to selling high-quality pyramid sachets. Good but not amazing. No brewing instructions on the container; I...

Dry Leaf: Has a malty smell with a nice sweet aroma.
Wet Leaf: I get a malty maybe even a toasty aroma with a sweet aroma.
Liquor: Has a dark amber and a nice brightness I would say.
Taste: I get a maltiness with a bit of sweetness. The broth has a little heaviness to it with a dryness. Also, I get a raisin flavor i...

This tea is okay. It has chocolaty aroma. It tastes kind of like cereal, and maybe that's a sign of it being a bit stale, I don't know. I added cream and sugar.

An excellent tea. Small pellets and a soft pre-brew aroma. The full recommended measurement and steep time produce a very bold, slightly bitter tea with a dry after taste but very refreshing. This tea is not over powering in flavour or aroma however is very full bodied.

This was a simple black tea, no bells and whistles. I thought it was good, but I didn't find the flavor as robust as the description suggests. I'd recommend another brand, such as Bigelow, for a more full-bodied, bagged, English Breakfast tea.

Life in Teacup sent me a sample of this tea even though it had been discontinued from their catalogue; now, their only Lapsang Souchong is the Lapsang Souchong Superior Grade.
I can see why they discontinued this one: while it was not bad, I thought it was nowhere near as good as the superior grade. Even with the h...

PG tips is the best ever for straight Black Tea drinkers (no sugar no cream). Great for ice tea because it's strong and three bags make a good quart for sweet or unsweet ready for ice. I drink it hot and all the way till it cools, drives my English relatives bommy. Love the stuff!

A powerful, robust, Assam-like tea.
I'm not feeling the description Simpson and Vail gives for this tea; I found it neither smooth nor sweet. This tea brews a strong, dark cup. The aroma and flavor are more like Assam than any tea I've tried outside of Assam. However, there are some nuances that I find most teas ...

I don't think this tea is particularly bad, it just isn't as good as their other teas and you can probably find a better quality ceylon for cheaper. The taste is crisp and clear and it does the job right, but I'd stick with the fruit teas.

This tea grew on me. I got this as a sample and ended up just having to pay the shipping, so 2 oz for 3 dollars AND a 20% off coupon (which sadly has expired). The dry leaf of this tea has the greenest color of any second flush Darjeeling I've ever seen. When brewed, the result is rather oolong-like.
Color is a light amber, lighter than most 2nd Flush Darjeeling. Very clean, crisp, mouthfeel, with considerable sweetness. Slightly edgy and tangy but with little astringen...
