I received a sample of this - and as I don't often have time for loose tea I made a whole bunch and had 1 cup hot and the rest iced. It is a good smelling and OK tasting black tea. Not bitter - and easy to drink.
Leaves are broken finely.
Brewed it again for my 9 year old who likes it "British" with milk. Sh...

I love, love, love Darjeeling - especially in the morning - and this bagged version from 2 Leaves and a bud is easy to drink on the way to the office. I love it - even if it is overpriced.

I thought this tea was good, but I was expecting it to be a little stronger since it's Irish Breakfast. Surprisingly, if you are looking for a strong brew of tea from Wegmans, I'd recommend the Organic Assam over this.

The flavor of this tea was a bit smokey and burnt for my taste, but I liked the tea overall. I was especially impressed at how strong the tea was from a small amount of leaf. The price was also extremely reasonable.

A very good, solid Assam. Wonderful aroma when brewed. Not the biggest flavoured nor the most malty Assam I have tried although it does have huge amounts of tannins. An enjoyable brew.

Strong, unique, and very afforable!
This was an interesting tea, and completely unlike any other Assam I've sampled. The tea it seemed most similar to, to me, was actually a Keemun from Arbor teas, that was also atypical for its style.

This tea has a slightly smoky, sweet aroma. The tea is kind of dry tasting, but it has a crisp flavor. It's a bit bitter when I brew it strong enough. It tastes kind of like lapsang souching. I added cream and sugar.

This is a standard black tea; it is mild, and not very complex. I let it sit for a good six minutes, and it still did not taste bitter or astringent. I think I would have preferred a richer tasting tea, but I still appreciate the quality of this one.

I was really impressed by the strength of this tea, especially since I was craving a coffee and given this as a substitute (no coffee on hand today!). I thought this tea was pretty good, it wasn't terribly outstanding, but it satisfied my craving for a basic black, and the price seemed reasonable. With the combined price and quality, I feel like this tea could compete and overthrow my regular bagged blacks any day. I would buy it again if there were a Wegmans close...

Yet another high-quality loose-leaf tea from Ahmad, for a very reasonable price. I was surprised that Ahmad sells this alongside their Kalami Assam, which is a whole-leaf tea in a similar price range. This tea is pretty good, actually. I'm surprised because I don't usually like darjeeling or Twinings that much. I often find Twinings teas to be too bitter, and darjeeling teas to be too sickly sweet/vegetal tasting, but in this tea, the qualities seem to balance each other out, and it tastes like a normal, pretty good...

I'm not usually a big fan of darjeeling teas. It tastes kind of bitter and vegetal, and I don't like those qualities. It's not as strong and rich as the kinds of black teas that I like more. It tastes kind of dry. I added cream and sugar.

I find Wegmans black teas to be on the mellow side, but have superior aromatic qualities. This was a really enjoyable tea that is among the strongest of their black teas. Classic Assam character.
Dry leaf is not terribly aromatic, and smells like a typical black tea.

A very good, easy going black tea. Not a very noticeable aroma, either in the bag or steeped, but still there and akin to most black teas with a fruity hint. Taken with a decent amount of sugar, it was still easy to discern a sweetness to the tea without any bite and mild astringency.

I really enjoyed this tea! I found it's aroma and taste to both be floral, light, and a bit sweet. A good tea, but not really true to the Irish Breakfast style. Pricey, and requires a lot of leaf to brew strong enough for me.
Dry leaf has a slightly malty and strongly fruity aroma, and a heterogeneous color showing a lot of tips, which look dusty beige in color.
