Not the most exciting sencha, but not the worst either. Dry leaf consists of big, intact pieces of leaf, a fairly rich green color, looks a little more like bancha than some sencha though. The leaf is not very aromatic, and this doesn't change much when the tea is steeped.

Very different from any other sencha I have tried. Complex, rich, and interesting. I would especially recommend this for people who don't like the fresh grassy and seaweedy tones of sencha, because it had the least of these characteristics of among any sencha I've tried. This sencha struck me as very typical for the style, and very good.
Flavor is slightly sweet with noticable umami presence, aroma is nutty and somewhat grassy. Less of the seaweedy qualities common in sencha. Pleasing and easy to drink.

Among the cloudiest / most opaque sencha's I've seen...bright green in color, even in the second infusion.
