Awake English Breakfast Filterbag from Tazo Tea
Style: English Breakfast – Region: Blend70 / 100 Aroma: 9/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5

This tea is not a bad tea. With that said, I wouldn't necessarily call it a great tea. I feel it is an average tea.
The first cup I had tasted great, and I used microwaved filtered water (I was in a pinch on campus and had no other source of heating water), and it was very good. I let the teabag steep for the recomme...

PG Tips is a blend of CTC teas. Most American grocery store teas are "orthodox" teas, however. That's worth knowing for a few reasons.
First, while orthodox production results in leaf pieces of various sizes (dust, fannings, broken leaf, whole leaf), the CTC machines produce small, uniform pellets. One thing that me...
Orange Pekoe (Ceylon & India) from Harney and Sons
Style: Black Tea – Region: Blend86 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 5/5

One of the best black tea blends I've tried that hasn't been in a more specific style. Enigmatic, this tea constantly defied description. I also found it versatile, able to take on different characters based on how I brewed it.
The dry leaf of this is potently aromatic and commands my attention, spicy with strong ...
Bold Breakfast from Dunkin Donuts
Style: Black Tea – Region: Blend50 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 2/5 Value: 2/5

Served at a Dunkin Donuts. I can't help but wonder how much this tea is limited by the fact that it's served in a paper cup; I can smell the cup, it imparts a cardboardy aroma that noticeably diminishes the enjoyment of the tea. Perhaps I'll come back with my own mug next time.
I remember what the old Dunkin Donut...

I am one of those people to whom this type of tea always tastes faintly like soap. This one, however, pleasantly surprised me. It wouldn't be one of my favorite teas, but I found it far more palatable than other brands. Revolution is one of my favorite tea companies. Even the teas I don't particularly care for seem to ...

One of my favorite teas. Great in the morning. It has peaty, slightly smokey overtones, reminiscent of a good Scotch. Moderately priced if you're looking for something special and a little bit different from other breakfast teas. I drink it with a little milk but it's good just plain black as well.

Bought it because it was cheap, and ended up pleasantly surprised. It's definitely better than Lipton, although that's a low bar to jump over.

I haven't tried many Irish style (Afternoon or Breakfast) teas, so my opinions thereon may not be worth the electrons wasted to paint these letters across your screen. Regardless, I haven't had a bad one yet. Murchie's various black-tea offerings have proven to be right up in the top echelon of any black teas I've ha...

You could do worse. I got this as a default black tea served at a local breakfast joint in Tulsa (at least they don't use Lipton like seemingly 99.99999% of everyone else!). Yes, it's richer than Lipton (not hard to accomplish), and not bad overall on the flavor side, but with a rather feeble aroma, both in the bag a...

As with their Chamomile (which was a good bit better), I got a few bags of this blend as a hotel guest in edifices where this was provided in-room, in individually wrapped bags. I hoped for more. The tea was surprisingly bitter and rather plain in taste, without any originality or uniqueness. I'd expect that from a ...

This tea was extraordinary and was one of the best blended teas I've ever tried. I do tend to really like Scottish Breakfast as a style of tea, and this was an unparalleled example of such.
The dry leaf has a pleasing aroma with a light hint of smoke, just what I'd expect: noticeable, but a bit less than in a Russi...

The tea tastes much like Murchie's Afternoon Tea (formerly Empress Afternoon), and also is a blend of black teas from various regions, but has a slightly weaker aroma--hence the slightly lower rating. Regardless, the flavor is similarly rich and full, the body robust, the color dense and dark after a 5-minute bath (wi...

It is a good tea - upmarket for standard tea which is not known to be very good quality anymore in the UK although I live in Canada where the same applies. It is upmarket for an English Breakfast blend and quite a good one. Good with milk although also without or the addition of other things as it is a more upmarket te...

This is also known as "Empress Afternoon" after the Empress Hotel in Victoria BC, down the street from Murchie's main tea store, and where this brand is served with ritual formality every afternoon. I see why. No English "afternoon" tea I've tried clearly beats this blend for darkness, richness and fullness of flavo...

Great tasting tea, use it in iced tea. Very strong tea flavor, but we make ours pretty dark.
This was the last thing on my list to change over to 100% organic foods, and one after I did I felt amazingling better. We drank the LZ brand for years, NOO is way better. Price is about the same, just hard to find in rural Am...

This was a humble flat paper tea bag that surprised me with its quality. It was very different from the Gold Blend (the one with the red label) from this same company.
Brews a very rich, dark cup that is thick and full-flavored. The aroma is strongly malty, and upon drinking the whole cup there's a hint of winterg...

My daughter came back from London with this tea packaged in little cubic tins featuring buses and other London sights. As such, my "value" rating is lower than it could be because she paid a tourist premium at a souvenir shop. I'd buy this without hesitation for normal American store prices.

I bought these sachets for when I go out for breakfast. I have a usual place I go to on Saturdays. That restaurant only has Lipton (fannings grade). I prefer a full leaf tea, and this does the job nicely. Good flavor and easy to take along.

Part of an Ahmad Tea assortment purchased at a local Marshall's.
Aroma was good, however, I found it quite average and lacking any distinction from the run of the mill brands at the grocery store. I find Ahmad's other offerings are quite good for the price, such as English Tea No. 1, Ceylon, and the green tea.

Wow. This might be the best breakfast tea I've ever tried from a tea bag. This was in a box of Numi tea bags that my friend Emily gave me, thank you so much!
Very aromatic once brewed: the aroma is very complex too: malty, spicy, and with notes of hot chocolate and a hint of roast like black coffee. The overall ch...

A disappointing blend from a company that usually impresses me with their black teas. The one thing this tea had going for it though was that it was hearty and warming.
Dry leaf doesn't wow me, it has a mild, almost stale smell.
Upon brewing though, becomes much more pleasant. Aroma is oolong-like, like a dark,...
