Alpine Berry Herbal from Two Leaves and a Bud

Style: Herbal Tea – Region: Europe

47 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 2/5 Value: 2/5
Jul. 25th, 2013

I wasn't very impressed by this tea. It was a fruity and a little sour with a very sweet aroma. The hibiscus is very evident. Blackberry leaves is an interesting addition--not sure if I've seen this in other teas before.

Style: Chai / Spiced Tea – Region: Assam, India

60 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Jun. 20th, 2013

The aroma of this tea is delightful! The smell is sweet and spicy, very rich with lots of clove.

Sadly the aroma and the taste did not match, I found the tea underwhelming. Still a nice clove taste but really that is it. I am sadly disappointed.

African Sunset from Two Leaves and a Bud

Style: Flavored Rooibos – Region: Blend

60 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Jun. 9th, 2013

I often find Rooibus hard to describe, especially to people who have never had it before. The aroma is like being in a deciduous forest in autumn, sweet, woodsy, and leafy. There is also the slightly zingy taste of the Lemongrass that adds both a citrus and a green taste to the tea, but it seems more of an after thoug...

Jun. 8th, 2013

The aroma is very green and vegetal with a slight hint of citrus. More like orange blossoms than orange fruit though, so I can see it also being considered floral.

The flavor is also very green, and not in a bad way. Very light and also very bright! The taste is more like grass than vegetables, which is something I...

I love, love, love Darjeeling - especially in the morning - and this bagged version from 2 Leaves and a bud is easy to drink on the way to the office. I love it - even if it is overpriced.

I had this at a day spa and loved it - so I actually bought a box of the bags. Took me a while to get through but I really like the floral, green and "stemmy" notes of this conveniently bagged tea. Smells great.

May. 13th, 2013

Love 2 Leaves & A Bud - and the cute bags/packaging. Even better? The tea itself is pretty darned good - especially the Jasmine Petal (green based). Grassy and floral and not bitter. Easy to drink - and great hot or on ice - with or without a bit of honey or lemon. Good sippin'!

Tropical Goji Green from Two Leaves and a Bud

63 / 100 Aroma: 5/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5
Mar. 8th, 2013

*disclaimer* This is a rating from someone who doesn't usually like flavored teas - if I usually drink flavored teas, I like the flavor to be minimal!

Because of my preference for subtlety, I really liked this tea. The flavor was mild and the texture smooth, which made a good brew in my book! The only complaint I ...

This has to be one of my favorite teas! Its light and exquisite floral smell often has me brewing two cups, which is rare! Its flavor is smooth and subtle adding a nice mellow compliment to the aroma. I look forward to relaxing to many more cups of Jasmine Petal in the future :)

First off, let me just say that I really do like most of the teas that I've tried from Two Leaves and a Bud. In fact, their Jasmine Petal Tea and African Sunset are two of my favorite bagged teas!

Second off, there is this tea.... this tea was blech. Just plain blech. My apologies to anyone who enjoyed it, but ...

Organic Japanese Sencha from Two Leaves and a Bud

Style: Sencha – Region: Japan

40 / 100 Aroma: 3/10 Flavor: 2/5 Value: 3/5
Dec. 20th, 2012

This is by far the oddest sencha I have tried. It completely lacked the fresh, herbal, almost "oceany" seaweed taste of an authentic sencha. It contained a stale off note that is hard to describe yet ruined the experience completely.

I cannot help wondering if something awful happened to this tea on its way to th...

I only had one teabag to play with, and I think I brewed it badly. I followed the instruction on the packet to brew it for five minutes. It didn't say what temperature to use, so I guessed 175F or so, which I think was a mistake.

Aroma-wise, the leaves were pleasantly citrusy, but once I brewed it, the aroma turned ...

I don't like this tea as much as the white peony that I usually drink (Prince of Peace) because it tastes greener, and I don't like green tea. It's also more expensive. I added cream and sugar.

I thought the tea had a light aroma, contrast to other reviews, but I could definitely smell the lemon grass. I really enjoyed this tea. It had a smooth texture with a hint of lemon grass in it's flavoring. This is definitely my favorite tea by Two Leaves in A Bud, it's silky aftertaste is leaving me begging for mor...

I was skeptical of the tea because the scent reminded me of Honey Smack cereal (minus most of the sweetness), and I was never too fond of Honey Smacks.

This tea grew on me as is cooled down. When the tea was still hot, all I tasted was the puffed rice, and I couldn’t help but feel like I was drinking watery porri...

The scent of this tea was so scrummy. It was sweet and fruity, and I was excited to get brewing right away. And let me tell you, the taste of Tropical Goji Green was just as delicious as its smell.

“Flavoring” can be a little tricky because it can overpower the tea, but in this tea it was a nice balance. The fl...

I just had this tea with my lunch and was surprised to see all of the negative ratings about it. Like the description I found that it has a light taste and to me it was crisp and refreshing. I really enjoyed the floral scent of this tea and its taste. Its flavor was rich, smooth, and full, with an imperceptible aftertaste. It brewed a dark-amber color. This is one of the better teas I've tried from Two Leaves and Bud and I will definitely be drinking it again!

I initially liked the flavor of this tea, but the longer I sipped it the less I found it appealing.
