Organic Raspberry Leaf from Traditional Medicinals
Style: Wellness Tea / Medicinal Tea – Region: Blend67 / 100 Aroma: 5/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 4/5
Mar. 14th, 2011
I was drinking this as a beverage, not a medicinal tea, so I made a single 3-minute infusion instead of the recommended 10-15 minute one. I imagine it might get a bit too strong if brewed that much: 3 minutes was plenty strong and even perhaps a bit too much.
The cup is greenish brown, like some mild black teas. A...
Om from Tazo Tea
Style: Green and Black Tea Blend – Region: Himalayas63 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5
Mar. 14th, 2011
A bit of a muddled aroma, but it works. There are some fruity tones, like a muscatel Darjeeling but with a more tangy flavor. Upon drinking more of the cup, I can notice some grassy qualities, and a brightness that I associate with high-grown black teas. Flavor is fairly sour, and only slightly bitter. There's a hi...

Style: Earl Grey Tea – Region: ?????83 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 4/5
Mar. 14th, 2011
I find this to be a very good Earl Grey tea. It isn't too heavy in flavor, but still gives my tastebuds a treat when I drink it.
The aroma is lovely, from the very few seconds of steeping until the last sip.
I enjoy this tea, its mild flavors, and its mellow nature.
Spiced Apple Cider Herbal Tea from Bigelow Tea
Style: Herbal Tea – Region: Blend90 / 100 Aroma: 9/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 4/5
Mar. 13th, 2011
I simply love this tea. It is like hot apple cider without the sugar. I has a wonderful aroma, like a high-quality candle and the flavor is amazing.
I add nothing to this tea and it is nearly perfect. The sweet apples blended perfectly with cinnamon. It is so lovely on a cool day. It tastes so much like actual ...
Frosty Spring Yunnan Roast Green from Life in Teacup
Style: Green Tea – Region: Yunnan, China73 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5
Mar. 13th, 2011
This is an interesting tea. I tried brewing two different ways: with longer, and shorter infusions. Both ways, it brews a clear, pale green cup.
With a 3-minute infusion, the cup had a toasty aroma, with hints of cooked vegetables. Very clean flavor, but with an extremely pleasing, mild bitterness in the aftertas...
Chamomile Lemon Herbal Tea from Bigelow Tea
Style: Chamomile Blend – Region: ?????57 / 100 Aroma: 4/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Mar. 13th, 2011
I dislike the earthy flavor of plain chamomile tea. But, because I truly feel it has soothing and calming properties, I decided to try chamomile with lemon.
This tea has a nice lemon flavor that really tones down the earthy flavors, so it works well for me. It isn't tart or sour, but instead mildly sweet and nic...
Chamomile Mango Herbal Tea from Bigelow Tea
Style: Chamomile Blend – Region: ?????60 / 100 Aroma: 5/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Mar. 13th, 2011
I am not a fan of the flavor of chamomile. It's too earthy for my tastes. However, it does carry a soothing and calming effect when I drink it, so I found this with mango and figured I'd enjoy it since I love mango.
This tea does have a nice mango flavor that really helps dissipate the earthy chamomile flavor. Th...
White Tea - Vanilla from Good Earth Teas
Style: Flavored White Tea – Region: Blend43 / 100 Aroma: 4/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Mar. 13th, 2011
I made a 4-minute infusion.
Aroma is muddled, creamy vanilla, and some lemon from the lemongrass and lemon oil, but the lemon is an herbaceous lemon which doesn't blend well with the vanilla. The chamomile seems to add only body, and the rose is barely perceptible but I bet I'd notice it if it were taken out--I thi...
Green Tea Pure Green (formerly Simply Green) from Yogi Tea
Style: Green Tea – Region: Blend67 / 100 Aroma: 4/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5
Mar. 12th, 2011
If you want just a plain green tea, I recommend this one. It was moderately bitter, but I didn't mind that. It was still fairly smooth, and actually contained a lot of flavor.
The aroma was nothing special, just smelled like green tea to me. But the flavor was better than the aroma, so that's what I really care a...
Green Tea Energy from Yogi Tea
Style: Wellness Tea / Medicinal Tea – Region: Blend40 / 100 Aroma: 3/10 Flavor: 2/5 Value: 3/5
Mar. 12th, 2011
I won't choose this tea again. It had a bad overall flavor, and I don't say that very often about teas.
I detected a lot of bitterness from the green tea. Normally I don't mind that at all, but perhaps it was the other flavors of the ginseng in it that really turned me off. It just had a bad, bitter flavor with a...
Green Tea Lemon Ginger from Yogi Tea
Style: Wellness Tea / Medicinal Tea – Region: Blend67 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Mar. 12th, 2011
I am not a big ginger fan, so I will start by saying that. This tea, however, does have a decent blend of flavors, and the ginger isn't overly strong. I taste about equal parts green tea, ginger, and lemon.
But with the nice flavor blend, it is almost bland. That may sound odd, but that's how I felt. It was du...
Blackcurrants, Ginseng, and Tahitian Vanilla from Twinings
Style: Herbal Tea – Region: Blend67 / 100 Aroma: 5/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5
Mar. 12th, 2011
I found this tea to not taste as complex as I'd hoped. The flavor blend sounded just wonderful, but I didn't detect nearly the vanilla flavor as I'd hoped and expected.
Black currents are the main flavor focus in this tea, and while they certainly taste good (and a bit tart), it leaves a little to be desired. It i...
Passion Filterbag from Tazo Tea
Style: Herbal Tea – Region: Blend90 / 100 Aroma: 9/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 4/5
Mar. 12th, 2011
This tea is a mouth-zinger! I really enjoy it, though some may find it too tart or sour for their tastes. To me, I think it is a great flavor.
I think it tastes like a fresh peach pie, but a tart peach pie. It certainly has a wildly bold flavor, one that when it hits your tongue the first time, makes you pucker a...
Cold Brew from Lipton Tea
Style: Black Tea – Region: ?????57 / 100 Aroma: 2/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5
Mar. 12th, 2011
This stuff is actually pretty good. It is a very simple and fast way to make real iced tea, without using instant powders that contain ingredients I don't care to consume.
The tea tastes very good, though not always as strong as I'd like. It's perfect for a hot day when you want to whip up a larger batch of iced t...
Fusion Red & White Tea from Stash Tea
Style: Rooibos / Tea Blend – Region: Blend83 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 4/5
Mar. 12th, 2011
I love the flavor of this tea. It has a lovely, mellow sweetness to it and it very smooth.
This is a very healthy tea too. Red tea has no caffeine, but white tea does, though very little. I don't feel any caffeine effects from drinking this tea, and I'm sensitive to caffeine.
This tea needs nothing added to it...
Echinacea Immune Support from Yogi Tea
Style: Wellness Tea / Medicinal Tea – Region: Blend67 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 2/5 Value: 4/5
Mar. 12th, 2011
I don't care for the overall flavor of echinacea itself, so to drink this tea for its flavor isn't my thing. I drink it for the immune health benefits that I truly believe in.
This tea works great at helping me fight off a cold. It also works really well for my hubby, who actually love the flavor of it!
If I ad...
Organic Red Tea - Harvest Berries from Good Earth Teas
Style: Flavored Rooibos – Region: Blend77 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 5/5
Mar. 12th, 2011
I didn't care for this tea, myself, though my husband really enjoys it. It is an odd flavor, though does have mild sweetness to it (naturally). It steeps into a full-bodied cup of tea, too.
The flavor of red tea is too masked by the berries, to me. It ends up with a flavor that's too "earthy" for me. I don't car...
Fire Light Chai (Fireside Chai) from Zhena's Gypsy Tea
Style: Rooibos Chai / Spiced Rooibos – Region: Blend53 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 2/5
Mar. 11th, 2011
This tea has a nice aroma with very strong scents of ginger and cloves. The most dominant flavors are ginger and cinnamon. There are other flavors as well, but there doesn't seem to be any strong flavor behind all the spices to stand up to the ginger. Overall it is all right, but the strength of the ginger is a litt...

Style: Black Tea – Region: Blend40 / 100 Aroma: 3/10 Flavor: 2/5 Value: 2/5
Mar. 11th, 2011
Thank you to my friend Morgan for giving this one to me to sample! I had the 1.5g sample--a little less tea than I normally use for a single cup, but similar to the amount in most other mainstream tea company's tea bags.
Overall, smooth and somewhat flat flavor: not very bitter, a hint of a savory quality, and a sl...
Raspberry Earl from Zhena's Gypsy Tea
Style: Flavored Black Tea – Region: Blend70 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5
Mar. 11th, 2011
This is a very enjoyable tea for when I want something a little more unusual than regular Earl Grey. The raspberry flavor is not overwhelming, but adds enough fruitiness that I think of this as a fruity tea rather than a normal black tea. I do wish the flavor of the Earl Grey (bergamot?) came through a little stronge...

Style: Bancha – Region: Japan70 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 5/5
Mar. 11th, 2011
This tea takes on a very different character depending on how much leaf you use and how you brew it. If you break it more weakly, is light, simple, and eminently pleasing, with a fresh, slightly vegetal aroma, and clean taste. Brewing it stronger, it takes on considerable bitterness and a very astringent aftertaste.

Tazo Chai Full Leaf from Tazo Tea
Style: Chai / Spiced Tea – Region: ?????60 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Mar. 10th, 2011
This is a pretty good chai tea, but not as good as other ones I've had. A little heavy on the black pepper - it makes it taste a little funny. I like to drink it with cream, sugar, and vanilla.

Style: Miscellaneous Blend – Region: Hawaii, United States33 / 100 Aroma: 3/10 Flavor: 2/5 Value: 2/5
Mar. 10th, 2011
I received this teabag from a trade with a friend. I wasn't expecting that much, and honestly, it didn't deliver that much.
The one thing that this tea has going for it is that the flavoring is not overdone: it's subtle, particularly the orange--I almost notice the passionfruit flavoring a bit more.
The base tea...
Aztec Sweet Chili (formerly Mexican Sweet Chili) from Yogi Tea
Style: Wellness Tea / Medicinal Tea – Region: Blend50 / 100 Aroma: 5/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5
Mar. 9th, 2011
Peppery, producing a light burn even drinking a third of the cup.
Although the aroma suggests cocoa, spice, and warmth, the flavor is surprisingly cool, clean, and fresh. Licorice is definitely noticable as the dominant tone in the aroma; the cocoa is more subdied. Fairly balanced aroma, hard to tell where one spi...
White Tea from Trader Joe's
Style: White Tea – Region: China50 / 100 Aroma: 4/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Mar. 8th, 2011
Brews an amber color. Trader Joe's recommends brewing 1-2 minutes and then discarding. I brewed 5 as I like a stronger cup. The tea was not too strong for me--still milder than many greens or blacks.
Not terribly aromatic, but flavorful. Aroma is like a bai mu dan, but much weaker: mostly of soft grain, with a h...
