Picture of Blueberry Bliss Rooibos Tea

Blueberry Bliss Rooibos Tea from Teavana

Style: Fruit Rooibos – Region: Blend

67 / 100 Aroma: 9/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 2/5
Jun. 26th, 2013

I, generally don't like Rooibos - but Teavana crams so much fruit flavor in (and aroma) that it's hard to resist these (especially free samples) over ice in summer. While I like the Pineapple pop better, this one is good, too and the new Blueberry/Pineapple blend is also worth a try if you like herbal tisanes. Oh - a...

Blueberry Kona Pop from Teavana

Style: Herbal Tea – Region: Blend

70 / 100 Aroma: 9/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 2/5
Jun. 24th, 2013

Smelled awesome and tasted good over ice - and I hate Roiboos - but this is blended like an herbal tisane. Fruity and herby.

This is a blend of Pineapple Pop and Blueberry Bliss so there is a WHOLE lot going on here.

Green Tea with Citrus from Lipton Tea

Style: Green Tea with Lemon – Region: Blend

53 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Jun. 7th, 2013

There are many, many bagged green teas that are far better than this one - but for Lipton - this is not bad. A bit lemon-pledgey in it's scent - tastes ok. Not bad and not great. Just OK.

Luzianne Tea from Luzianne

Style: Black Tea – Region: Blend

47 / 100 Aroma: 4/10 Flavor: 2/5 Value: 3/5
Jun. 1st, 2013

Yes, they still make Luzianne - the classic black tea used in countless pitchers of Southern Style sweet tea. I can even find it (bottom shelf) of my local supermarket in the Philadelphia area.

Very black - neutral scent and a flat, single note taste. Not complex - totally drinkable but bby no means a favorite.

Korakundah Estate Nilgiri FOP Black Tea from Arbor Teas

Style: Black Tea – Region: Nilgiri, India

67 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5
May. 31st, 2013

I received a sample of this - and as I don't often have time for loose tea I made a whole bunch and had 1 cup hot and the rest iced. It is a good smelling and OK tasting black tea. Not bitter - and easy to drink.

Leaves are broken finely.

Brewed it again for my 9 year old who likes it "British" with milk. Sh...

Honey Green Tea from Lipton Tea

Style: Flavored Green Tea – Region: Blend

23 / 100 Aroma: 4/10 Flavor: 1/5 Value: 1/5
May. 29th, 2013

Sorry, Lipton - but this fakey-honeyish pseudo green bagged tea is not good. Yikes. I had this (free) at a hospitality station where there were a few kinds of teas to choose from (all Lipton) and this seemed OK at the time. Bad call.

I tried it hot and doctored it up with a touch of splenda - but I would never ...

Decaf Black Tea from Salada

Style: Black Tea – Region: ?????

33 / 100 Aroma: 3/10 Flavor: 2/5 Value: 2/5
May. 29th, 2013

Not a fan. Brews up black and very quickly. Not good hot but palatable over ice. - Salada is cheap and easy to come by.

Decent over ice especially for a decaf tea - as decaf teas can taste "flat" and this one is indeed, a bit flat. Don;t oversteep, add some lemon and sweetener and you've got a passable iced tea.

Naturally Decaffeinated Tea from Red Rose Tea

Style: Black Tea – Region: Blend

47 / 100 Aroma: 5/10 Flavor: 2/5 Value: 3/5
May. 29th, 2013

Not a big fan of Red Rose - and only tried the decaf kind once - years back. The regular black tea by Red Rose makes a passable Southern-Style sweet tea - and it's very inexpensive.

I would proabably use this for decaf sweet-tea when you want a black, generic tasting grocery store tea. It's drinkable but not a fa...

Om from Tazo Tea

Style: Green and Black Tea Blend – Region: Himalayas

60 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5
May. 29th, 2013

This was the old-style Tazo "Om" that you could get in Starbucks before Tazo revamped it's brand into 2 lines with different package designs. Om is supposed to be a green and black blend and thus it seems to be neither when you steep it. Tasted very good though - so what the heck! Not sure if you can get this formul...

May. 29th, 2013

If you can find this (loose only - pearled by hand - and gorgeous to watch steep) try it! I used to get this from the NYC Ito En flagship store years back. I miss it. Subtle floral jamine notes and a pale yello/green steep after several minutes (be patient). Great hot and OK iced. (I prefer this one hot with a lit...

Vanilla Creme Black Tea from Stash Tea

Style: Vanilla Black Tea – Region: Blend

67 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5
May. 29th, 2013

This was a strange combination of vanilla, bitter black tea (bitter in a good way, I think.) and almost a nutty or almondish taste. I got a sample bag of this from a friend and it does take only 2-3 minutes to steep and comes out rather dark. I did not add sweetener. Not bad. Maybe as a dessert tea - or on Christm...

Style: Mao Feng Green Tea – Region: Zhejiang, China

57 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
May. 24th, 2013

A decent bagged tea available everywhere (and I mean EVERYWHERE) that Starbucks is served - offices, Barnes & Noble, airports, even the local library - I can get a quick cup of this in a pinch. Vegetal and green - a bit "dry" tasting - so I add sweetener sometimes. (For shame, I know!) I love green teas but this is j...

Zen Filterbags from Tazo Tea

Style: Flavored Green Tea – Region: ?????

73 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 4/5
May. 24th, 2013

Tazo is carried in Starbucks and is very available and moderately priced. Zen has a green tea base with notes of mint and cintrus. Very good over ice. A solid pick for every-day green tea. I actually prefer this to the China Green Tips (the plain green Tazo that Starbucks carries). Both are good in a pinc (airport,...

Earl Grey from Twinings

Style: Earl Grey Tea – Region: ?????

53 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 2/5 Value: 3/5
May. 22nd, 2013

I can't stand Earl Grey - and yet I have tried many of them. Sometimes I try when I am at a convention or hotel or in an office or deli that carries Twinings. In this case they were all out of the other kids of teas and it was this or coffee - so I gave it a go (hot with a bit of splenda). Not as good as some I've t...

Smoked Maple from Shanti Tea

Style: Flavored Oolong – Region: China

90 / 100 Aroma: 9/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 4/5
May. 22nd, 2013

This is a preliminary rating based on the smell alone - I just got a sample of this loose-leaf tea and can't wait to brew some up. I bet it'd be great in the winter as you can smell a sweet maple scent and as Sylvia mentioned a faint whisper of smoky wood. It looks appealing visually as well. I will update this revi...

Wild Sweet Orange from Tazo Tea

Style: Herbal Tea – Region: ?????

60 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
May. 20th, 2013

First of all, the package design and possibly the name of this tea may have changed, but I was at a conference in a Sheraton Hotel that offered a few tea selections and since there were no green teas left I chose this. (It was that or a straight black tea so I picked this). I am not a fan of orange teas - but this on...

Wow does this have caffeine in it or what? Dark and Black - brews up quickly and easy to find everywhere that carries Starbbucks. I usually opt for Zen or another Tazo blend to this - but if it was this or Lipton? I'd take Awake for sure. Very strong black tea.

I am not a huge fan of Chrysanthemum tea - unless it's iced and sweetened and then i get kinda-sorta get into it, but when I lived in NY I would go to the Ito-En flagship store and get a bunch of different kids.

Their Chrysanthemum tea is fun to brew and watch the blossoms in the water. Smells a bit floral but al...
